Discontinued The Grasshopper

Well, after a lot of flail and mail, I now have two GH's that are operating correctly after body swaps.

I'm back in business and hit that bad boy hard last night. Very enjoyable.

Both run oh so slightly cooler than my OG Ti Bronze but very slightly, I believe. Let me put it this way, they still milk the can so I'm good with them! LOL

Best of luck to you who are still awaiting RMA returns. It will be interesting to see how reliable these two GH's are now.

Cheers

So mine is working similar to how you described. I am having trouble getting it to milk my bong. It gets close, and when I take it out and clear the bowl, I get a huge hit, but it just doesn't LOOK like a huge hit? It doesn't have the density that I am used to from other vapes. I am using cheep china glass and don't have a real piece but I do have the PFE for my Hopper but I still can't quite get that milk shot (sounds gross when i type it like that lol). The only way I can describe it is as if I was trying to pull through a pipe without covering the carb. I get the smoke and wisps, but it doesn't build up. It almost sounds like the hopper has too much airflow somewhere?

Any suggestions appreciated!

Haven't heard back about a refund from HL even after getting PayPal involved. I've sent at least 4 different emails about it now.

I have a feeling they're trying to delay until the parts come in so they can try to ship the unit instead of refunding me.

Hi folks just a few updates on my new hopper received on Friday. Yesterday I started getting flicking blue lights when drawing even when the battery is fully charged. After reading the forum for a few hours I took some advice and fiddled with the back end when it's flickering blue and low and behold the flickering stops strait away. From what I understand this is a bad connection on the back end(which has started to get slightly warm but not hot is this normal?) could this also explain the bad battery life and 3 hour charge time I'm having. On a positive note I got the hang of the pack and I'm getting fantastic vapour. I'm thinking of exchanging it for another. I purchased it through Namaste vapes who will replace it for the first 6 months so I would only be looking at a few days without a unit to exchange it. Not to bad considering the folks on here who have had there units held hostage by hopper labs for months. What would you folks suggest I do?

Try drawing slower and you should get more vapor and less air. See how slow you can go!

I hope my one works when it arrives.....soo many scary stories
Just waiting for @luke00978 to post my new GH Ti and hoping it continues to work
Excited to

receive and use very much and have been assured mine works
I just hope it continues to do so and I do not need to use the warranty posting from Aus to US
as the wait time will def need a back up something.....I think I will be looking to something different as a backup though so as not to be left with two in post and nothing at home....

I just hope they will overcome this crisis and start working on newer versions. I don’t even want to try a different vape.

I hope yours will work, and that the positive wave of feedback will continue.

Well, that's not my problem now but lack of sufficient heat was the reason for the RMA and we had to go through a couple of replacement bodies to get them fixed.

If its not fully extracting, open an RMA. Pic of your AVB attached to the ticket might help.

Honestly the ABV is perfectly extracted. I can get it almost as dark as my Dynavap and Mighty. It isn't that it doesn't produce a lot of vapor and heat, because it does, it just doesn't seem to build up in the bong the way I though it would. I'm going to try the longer slower pulls and see if that is my problem.

Ah, sorry....I must be a bit slow today as I misunderstood.

What size bong are you using? Big tube or??

I use a DHGate Mobius Ion knockoff from stevenlmz79 (popularglass) with a 14mm dewar joint. Its not too dang big. Below is a pic of a real Mobius Matrix. Perhaps the volume of your bong is effecting the visual results...maybe?

Mods: this is NOT from DHGate but is a picture of an actual Mobius from Aqua Labs that I'm posting just to let the other member know what this configuration looks like.

Try doing a couple of short draws (without inhalong them) before going for the long, slow one. The initial air passing through the chamber serves to get things up to temperaturre and to get excess moisture evaporated off, all before vape production can really begin.

From Hopper...just saw it come in a minute ago, make of it what you will.

Shipping Update July
Find shipping updates below. For more information feel free to email support@grasshoppervape.com

Please note that this shipping update report is only an estimation and not an exact representation of delivery. The dates given here represent a range in of which Grasshopper products are shipping currently. Due to fluctuations in customer ordering and requested warranty service some date ranges are slower to move through than others. Production and warranty service speed also fluctuates with the supply of necessary components. If you Hopper is ready to ship but there are other out of stock items on your order it may cause a delay. You may elect for discounted shipping to split the order into two.

7/8/2017 - Production is currently at 200 units and warranties being produced or serviced per week. A few parts are on order from manufacturers that have caused a delay with specific new units.

Stainless Grasshopper - (Currently shipping Jan-Early April) Stainless Hoppers are running behind other devices due to the volume ordered in March and April. Most devices are 70-90% completed up to current ordering. We are currently waiting on a back-end component from an overseas supplier. They are late on delivery of this part but we expect it to arrive this month (July). 420 kits are at the front of the production schedule once this part arrives and will ship soon after.

Titanium Grasshopper - (Currently shipping June-July) Titanium Hoppers have been bouncing around caught up and a 1-2 week ship time. Once the new assembly lines were rolling, we were quickly able to fulfill these orders with on-hand inventory. The Titanium Grasshopper is the most "caught up" with almost all orders currently fulfilled. The lead time is now going to jump out to 4 weeks as supplies of a few parts are on order and have not arrived. We also expect the focus to shift later this month to Stainless Hoppers as parts arrive to complete the backlog of those units.

Color Grasshoppers - (Currently shipping Jan - Late April) Color Grasshoppers are delivering in a wide range of dates depending on the Color. Dark Grey and Blue are working their way to in May orders. Green and Purple sit around early April. Bronze Hoppers are catching up, but we were lagging behind previously. Rose and Electric Blue have had the longest delay due to the additional steps necessary to make these custom units. We can offer color switches but we expect them to start going out this month.

Heat Treated - (Current) Heat Treated Hoppers are currently being fulfilled in 1-2 days, and we expect them to remain current while they are in stock. HT units are produced in batches separate to regular Grasshopper Production.

Accessories - Accessories have their listed ship time displayed on the website

Out-of-stock and on order - (10-25 days) - Bronze PFEs, Blue PFEs

Pre-Order Items - The Stainless Case and External Charger both have had a lot of delays. They are expected to ship later this year. The exact date is not yet known but September/October is our current estimation. We have completed the design and testing phases and are just waiting on production and delivery for these items. Once here we will assemble and test each unit, then ship them to customers. We will have more progress updates as we go forward. Once released the pricing will change from pre-order prices to the higher normal pricing.

Warranty - Currently servicing January and February with standard upgrades and repairs. If you Hopper has more complex issues it may still be in service before these dates as a more experienced technician reviews them. We are expecting the backlog to be cleared in 12- 16 weeks. There are new warranty procedures which will inform you when your device is almost complete from service. You must reply to this address confirmation request or your device will not be returned. Too many devices have been shipped to old address due to the delay in service.

We wish to keep you informed and updated on all our progress. This post is in response to our most recent update and user requests for more information. Please feel free to give us further feedback at support@grasshoppervape.com. We are working extremely hard with limited staff to maintain a tight budget and deliver your warranties and ordered products.

Shocking that they it 16 Weeks to get a broken hopper repaired. I sent an my 3rd RMA request for a burning back end (actually the whole grasshopper gets burning hot) last week and haven't had a reply from them yet.

One other possibility is a faulty seal between the Grasshopper and your glass piece. This could be the result of imperfections in your PFE or your glass joint. If it’s a cheap glass piece there’s a chance the 14mm joint is slightly imperfect and letting air in, thus the wispy clouds. Although if it works with other vapes it may be your PFE.

If you have some sort of silicone tubing that you can put around your PFE it might help.
