How does silicon nitride compare to silicon carbide, quartz, and sapphire/ruby? Taste, durability, thermal properties, etc.

What size and how many would you recommend for something the size of the DNail Halos, specifically the New Vape VRod?

I've never used any spheres, but the general idea is to give more thermal mass and surface area, correct? Basically allowing you to turn the temp down a little more while not sacrificing vapor density?

The Balls also provide some stirring action to get the dab spread out to all of the hot surface area. I notice no different in taste when compared to Sapphire, but the thermal shock resistance is better with Silicon Nitride. I will post up some material specs today.
So far I am having great results using 2 balls in my various nails. The size should be the biggest that will fit in the Halo.

What's the largest size that fits into a 28mm dish like the Halo?

I have a couple of 6mm ruby spheres from Cryptic Culture.
They are too big to fit in the Halo; 5mm would probably fit.

Regarding the spheres In general I highly recommend them.
Using the two noted spheres in conjunction with the Liger V3 + sapphire insert I am down from 590* to 530* with bigger clouds and better taste.
