Discontinued The Herbalizer

lazylathe

Almost there...
I was wondering if there were more Herbalizers catching on fire than the ones we know about on here. I thought may be that is why the site is gone. Just speculation though.

Could be but this patent infringement sheds some more light on it.
Guess I should have sent my Herbie in for an upgrade when I thought about it at the beginning of the year...

11 Herbalizers in use for 4+ years in this community, all have not had issue.
Mine has been in use since mid 2013, and still functions as it did on day one.
It is one of the few vaporizers I enjoy using at maximum heat... and I use an extremely short vapor path with it ( 2 inches of glass)

Do you know why Herbalizer has gone MIA?
Sometimes you have that extra insider info...:brow:

There is much that would be better left unsaid at this time.
The Herbalizer.com website has been disconnected for a time, but http://herbalizer.net/ still works fine.
We all knew that the creator, and owner @Engineer was pushed out of his company by "other investors" that had different views of what their financial goals were.....
I would very likely support @Engineer in a crowd sourced project. We have his first project as proof that he does good work. I'd love to see his new vaporizer bury the corporate Herbalizer.
... and who is to know... perhaps that conflict is still going on behind the scenes.
I do not think that at this time anyone that is involved or has access to information is at liberty to discuss the situation and it's development.

Thanks for that @Vitolo but I cannot see anyone wanting to buy this vape when they cannot have it repaired anymore. The .net site is purely to buy, so that leaves a lot to be desired.
Hope they manage to sort it out and offer support again.

This site is merely a presentation clone of the original website and has no shopping application back end. Anyone try to buy anything from this page? Thought I might grab a few bowl screens. From my browser, it just references itself in a disappointing loopback. Took a few screenshots for posterity though.

When I click on the Buy Now button it takes me to Namaste vapes...

And when you try to buy something it redirects back to the .net page, completely disabled. Looks like the next move is in the courts, middle of August per the linked legal proceedings above.

Our old friend @ChooChooCharlie saw the posts about Herbalizer so had to drive by and look.
Door locked, lights off.
In his thinking..
maybe fighting that S&B patent infringement lawsuit was too expensive.
At least there wasn’t a “lease available “ sign on their door. Of course, nowadays if the web site goes dark, the company likely does too.

You all recall when individuals (unnamed) at Herbalizer conspired, and got 51% of the company, leaving @Engineer out in the cold. Josh was given the boot, in spite of being the inventor and owner of the company. The marketing specialist was let go, because it was felt that they were supportive of Josh.
In my experience actions like that rarely lack repercussions... and perhaps the repercussions of those actions taken against the owner/inventor and others still are having ripple effects that when joined with the S&B lawsuit have forced the company to cease and desist at least until they are no longer distracted by one lawsuit, and other possible legal actions.
The phone number still works, but it is only a recording... but it does still connect to each department (with other recordings).
I have reached out to a couple of the Herbalizer team, whose contact info I still have, and asked for updates.

Option 1: Injunction or stay came out of S&B proceedings (or another case?) causing what we've seen
Option 2: Management saw the writing on the wall and ran the clock as long as possible before pulling plug

Given the 20% fire sale on the webstore that preceded these events, I think option 2 is most likely. Just speculating of course. I feel extremely lucky to have gotten my unit replaced at the last freaking second.

Here's a hypothetical, if they re-opened for business tomorrow and pretended like nothing happened, would you trust their reputation any longer?

So with the apparent closing of herbie’s store, can I get a confirm on wether the easy valve fits snug if I use the @Ratchett v2 SonG? I’ve asked around and searched the search bar, but have yet to get a clear “Yes, you ferociously good looking individual. The pairs well with the easy valve. No need to hold it over the bowl. Now you can purchase the V2 SonG, the easy valve kit, and replacement bags.”

(I’ll also try emailing and seeing if @Ratchett can somehow check)

Hello everyone,

If you have a broken Herbalizer or know someone that has a broken Herbalizer, please visit my website. I worked for Herbalizer for four years fixing Herbalizers that needed repair under their warranty. I have the knowledge required and the parts necessary to fix your unit.

Hello all

Since some of you have been discussing the fate of Herbalizer in recent days I wanted to post a reported story that we ran today on the current fate of Herbalizer.

I am not here to sell anything or shill for my site. I'm here to provide information, some of which was gathered on this very informative forum (the above linked post references the original comments made by @Engineer as well as the fact that one @Vitolo went to far as to post a photo of the darkened doorway of the Herbalizer offices.

I have calls into several ex emlployees and to the lawyer representing 1Readdy, LLC in the patent case that Storz & Bickel brought against them.

My main goal is finding out for my customers whether the warranties will be honored (I suspect not but that questions has not been answered) and whether there will be any reputable service centers.

As a retailer with a direct relationship to the company I can tell you that the brand did not provide any information to its partners or its distributors.

I will update the blog post we published and this thread as new information becomes available. And thank you all for being so diligent and well informed.

Good article.
While still Facebook friends, I am not in contact regularly with @Engineer much these days.
I keep in regular contact with Sheila Hoyt, who has moved on, and has new interests in her preferred
field of expertise, Marketing.
I have also recently been in touch with Bob Pratt, who explained that he has been out of the picture at Herbalizer for some time now. He is working in his original area of expertise, of Spacecraft design.
None of these individuals has any idea of what is going on with the company.
Perhaps with time and a bit of digging, @SSG will find some answers for us.
I wish you good fortune with this endeavor, and look forward to hearing about what you learn.

I will keep digging, @Vitolo but I am not sure what I will yield. I have made calls the attorney representing the LLC in the ongoing case that Storz & Bickel has brought, but it has not yielded anything yet.

On my site I have made every Herhalizer item out of stock and am in the process of helping existing customers with whatever issues they have (to the extent I can).

One thing perhaps some on this forum can answer: Do the Easy Valve Replacement Balloons from S & B work with the Herablizer unit? I refer to the balloons that come six to a pack and that have a valve.

I have read that it may be possible. I have customers looking for replacement balloons.

Thanks for the support ... wishing you all a happy 4th of July

I recall some members had luck with the actual valve of the solid valve.
I no longer have the solid valve, so I can not test it...
I just did a session, using the Herbalizer chamber, and filled the EZ Valve bag, by leaving the lip part on the bag set-up, and holding the hole against the Herbie chamber, manually. That worked OK.

Thanks for the info...It doesn't sound like a seamless fix.

I am trying to make this right for customers who have placed orders for Herbalizer accessories within the past week or so.

Obviously nobody has access to any inventory (apart from what they hold and I am sold out).

haha..i replied before seeing your second post

I will offer that as a solution. Jerry rigged ingenuity!

Better idea....
I used a 14mm male to an 18mm Female .
The 14mm side clicks in pace very nicely, while the 18MM Female fits over the herbie "spout", as it seals against the Herbalizer "cool grip"

Would the SonG adapter be a suitable replacement for the 14/18 F Glass adapter?

I would have to see one. Pictures?

@Ratchett 's Delta 3D Studio Herbie adapter:

Note: I don't use the bags, prefer adding moisture with a hydratube onto the adapter----smooth and cool, even at 445F
