Discontinued The Venus Apollo

Emails doesn’t go through. You can’t order and people have waited for 2 months their vapes back from warrantyservice. Bankruptcy maybe?

Does anyone have the guide for replacing the globe?

I tried accessing it from the base but there’s not enough room to remove it that way without pulling on the leads.

It looks like I need to remove & insert the globe from the top but I can’t seem to get a grip on it from that angle even with rubber gloves.

I think there was a how to guide on the site but that’s still down.

A few tweaks could make this a great vaporiser, as it is now it’s got a few issues & it’s a bit awkward to use but if you’re willing to put in the effort it’ll produce some enormous clouds.

You need to push up the metal mesh above the globe from one side until it pops out. Not that easy to change the bulb, but possible then. My metal cage around the bulb was wiggeling from the start on, after half year it is now completely detached from the bottom part. Makes it quite easy to change the bulb now, but keeps wiggeling. Can live with that.

Good look with replacement!

Quoting out of a mail from @villekille2 :

We use ”beeswax oil for wood” here, but for example at home I oil my vapes with same oil I use for my face, it is some Yoyoba oil. You can use basically any oil but for example olive oil is not good as it has a strong aroma. And some vegetable oils go quickly rancid if they have too many polyunsaturated fats. My personal favourite is to use solid piece of beeswax, I got from an organic store some beeswax candles and i rub this on top of the wood as much as I can to fill all the small gaps in wood, and then I use the yoyoba oil to smoothen and dissolve this wax better into the wood and polish the surface. As a bonus, you get a nice very subtle smell of honey.

Burnings? Never happened to me!?
In the upper area of the heat shield heating of the herb already has happened so why do you want to isolate heat of the vapour? Sorry, maybe I'm wrong but it seems not to make a real sense to me.

I've only done it once but it's easy enough to burn yourself on the exposed crucible. It's possible that the higher you get, the more likely a burn gets but I don't use this thing back to back.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
I use my apollo quite often (until i broke last tube), never had a single issue with hot chamber and I have no need for extra covers, the shielded one is already a solution for hot chamber issues IMO (I rarely use the shielded one, performances are noticeably better without shield IME)

Good news: it seems the internet site is again up and running

on vacation while I write, I have yet to place an order for some glass tubes but I believe @villekille2 is back!

I just got an email from paypal that my order from a couple weeks ago got refunded, and the store page is down again. Hopefully all is well with @villekille2 and he's just still on holiday, although I'm a bit concerned as to why he would have refunded the order instead of just handling it when he's back. It will be quite sad if I'm never able to get my hands on the superchamber and cooling unit.

http://www.venusvaporizer.com is online and working for me, http://www.venusvaporizers.com (Plural - with "s") not - somehow the working page feels like an older version, but the shop has the newer apollo 50w model listed.

No answer to my contact email I sent from the shop, not sure if I should buy stuff now, or not. :(

The "shop" link is not directed to http://www.venusvaporizers.com, too. So the shop of older website version is now "offline", too. hmmmm....

Most likely just summer break
Hey this is conjecture and I have no facts to back it up, but could Venus and the Apollo have been caught up in the S&B lawsuit that killed Herbalizer?

The Venus Apollo II couldn’t fill a balloon and that was S&B’s beef with Herbalizer. Herbalizer’s web site, social media sources went dark in April just like Villekille2!

If they are monitoring this site for example, they (VilleKille2) could send out a one sentence statement, satisfy loyal customers, holiday or not!

Would you mind explaining this a little more? Is SB attacking others manufacturers?

In February of this year Storz & Bickel served suit on Herbalizer for patent infringement. Apparently S&B has a patent on the balloon function, not sure if utility or design patent or both? By April of this year, without a fight, Herbalizer ceased operations and closed it’s doors.
