Boundless Tera

It's great that you guys are finding clever ways to mod the vape. However, with this being the third iteration, surely things like this should have been sorted by now.

It seems crazy to me that I should pay so much for a vape that has had so many issues and still requires modding after 3 full revisions.

Have you never heard of Delta 3D Studios, DDave Mods, ... etc. All commercially creating mods for existing vapes. The Mighty, most of the Arizer line-up, Davinci, Grasshopper, 7th Floor, ... plus many more. All failures. Really?

For most products a vibrant mod community means a significantly longer life span for potential sales of the base unit.

The device works great without modding. We consider it fun to do though. Its not because its needed.

Just got my V3 from Eric and this thing is a MONSTER!!! Did some cleaning of mouthpieces and A few burn offs. No off gassing!!! A little bit of initial techno taste/smell, typical, that went away after a few bowls!!! It Is a bit more voracious than some of my other vapes, Milaana ,VapCap, HI, etc... but does a great job of extracting for sure!!! Great Unit!!! Very satisfied!!!

I'm really digging the Tera. Low temp tastes absolutely amazing. Probably not quite as good as the Milaana but much better than the Grasshopper. High temp puts out as much vapor as anyone could want and the concentrate mode (although I haven't tried it yet) seems pretty cool. The swappable batteries are awesome too. Still don't understand why some companies refuse to add swappable batteries *cough* S&B *cough*.

What low end temps are you liking??? What other batteries are you using???

This thing last and last. 6-10 sessions depending on how I use it. Thats pretty much an entire day of vaping for me. Even without a quick charge feature, i only really need to charge it at the end of the day.

My only complaint so far is the rubber on the glass and swivel mouthpiece puts off a very noticeable flavor even after washing with soap and water. Doesn't seem to be going away either. I'll be using the WPA exclusively until I can figure something out with them.

What kind of life you getting out of the stock batteries??? Im getting 7-8 sessions.
Haven't really tested yet. It always shows full bars after a full session though so I imagine it'll last a while.

Yah, I get what you say about the swivel mouthpiece. It does have an aroma, like the CFX did a first, that I hope will go away. I wish, also, they would use a matte finish on the mouthpiece-like the S&B units! The shiny finish scratches rather easily!. Im thinking the ariser stem mod!

Mistvape touch stem and a bit of silicone works pretty well too...

Just an update on my earlier post..managed to get some pretty good results using an og glass chillum. I can see this thing getting lots more use with no need to grind, and ability to microdose...

Which do you prefer , the blue stem or og chillum?
I hope Bndls carries more mouthpieces.

BigJr48,
So I just got a Tera 3.0 like a week or so ago, it's pretty amazing. So I replaced every screen with a mesh screen, and made a double screen inside. Replaced the original internal screen and put an internal screen on the heater element.

The major mod I decided to do was cut one of the rubber pieces, cutting off the entire screen part so I could fit an EQ basket inside. No, I don't fill the EQ basket, it's used as a spacer to half fill the bowl ish. I've found that if you don't keep a certain pack, it doesn't run well.

I also drilled out the bottom air holes and put a screen there as well, so the obvious CFV mods basically.

So far there needs to be MORE airflow, and I think the plastic mouth piece has some drag in there too. The batteries last forever, like 6+ sessions easily.

The bowl can comfortably share with two people, and if you cut down the mouth piece rubber, slap a screen inside and put in an EQ basket... It's like a perfect small bowl. Nice for kief bowls. Leave out the EQ basket and you've got a BIGGER bowl.....

All in all the Tera seems to be all the answers to the CFV minus the airflow. =( Ugh I'm talking like a few mm more, like a FEW!!!!

One issue I've yet to come up with a clever solution is the inside of the plastic mouth piece. In the CFV you could put a 2nd screen in easy, to ketch/collect oil and block small particulates. The Tera needs a better solution, which just might end up being a small screen. =( I just don't know if it'll be worth it. Maybe a washer, then a screen? Idk it's gonna be a trick.

OOO OOOOO OOOOOOO Planned mod I almost forgot about. So the glass pipe attachment is nice, somewhat. I was doing some thinking, uhoh! I have a good/simple clean mod that'll hopefully make a glass pipe attachment better. After finally using it with a bizzy, the glass on metal kinda sucks. So I was thinking about getting some glass on glass hookah fittings. Take the hose end, and run it to the glass mouthpiece base with the hose from the hookah fitting. Or I'll get some basic glass on glass to hose like this:

https://www.amazon.com/HMA012601-St...1530571674&sr=1-18&keywords=glass++hose+inlet

See where I'm going with this? I think that would have been a much better solution.

That should cover everything I've experienced with these so far. The only possible mod I'd think about is a 20700 mod, but that would really be pushing the housing, hahaha. I'd have to do some actual dremel work, and sadly my CFV work has stopped for now. New toy, hahaha. I think the CFV is much more personal, it's a nice "me" setup. It barley shares for 2, and with the EQ baskets it's a PERFECT single mod. It also gets a bit hotter, however the Tera performs very adequately and with a lot more to get out of it.

I'll see what more can be modded/tweaked but they did a dang good job on this device.

Thats kind of strange. This vape has probably the best air resistance ive had in a portable. Its extremely easy on my end to take a drag even when packed pretty tight. Also, try using the wpa as a mouthpiece instead. It works rather well.

I agree! It has good air flow IMHO. As good as my Milaana!
