This is interesting. Anyone else do this?

The whole theory is that the fine grind will cover more surface on the screen so you can get even...coverage...but this is really interesting.
I’ve yet to do it with this vape but I’ve done it before, it helps with flavor being in ground in my opinion, sneakypete does whole bud with a logvape

I personally do not but have tried it many times and while it is great for flavor chasers and a longer session it just does not get me to a 10 quick enough . If you like to savor flavor and have a nice slow session I highly recommend it with almost any vape.

Another thing while on the topic...

Micronug microdosing at 777 is great. Throw 2 or 3 tiny little rice-sized chunks of torn off nug on your screen and hit it. Tasty! :)

I've been saying full nug, and glass bowls, are the way and the light for months...
Glad to see other NewVape users are starting to agree! :D

I prefer my larger nug-roasting to be down in the 640-ish temp range, much better flavor than 777, although vapor production can sometimes be a chore as others have pointed out. I find that if I tear the nug in half or thirds, vapor production is greatly increased. This is not the fastest vaping method, but the flavor is far superior to ground, in my opinion. I find that most of my grinders are unused any more, though I occasionally do a bit of fine grind in the Lift or Lincig rotary blade scissors if I find myself missing hugecloudsville. :)

@Justpassedu just fine grind a bowl and follow it with whole nug bowl. Problem solved

@Chicken #420 been on the whole nug train with you. It's the tits. I just noticed we got lots of new users and thought they might have missed that period of time of this thread.

Pretty much everyone loves whole nug that tries it.

I honestly think that first hit tastes better than most extracts.

Unprocessed terps FTW

Whole nug is definitely tasty. As I learned from some of the elders previous posts, double weave Ti screen or basket screens help greatly by giving a sturdy surface to work the nug apart as you vape it.

I love that this device is so versatile that I can switch up endless variables and still hit the mark. But truth be told, it would be much slower progression without the invaluable insight all of you guys bring to the table  I’m grateful every day that I stumbled upon this thread during my research for a good desktop vape. Thank you all! Hope Monday is treating everyone well.

haha I'll try it man. I am not against it , flavor is great as I have done it a few times but it does take a bit more time like I said to get to a 10 and these days I need to get to a 10 quick with all the shit going on in my life. Weekends I usually have some more time to relax so I'll give it a go. Your idea is a good 1 though , very tempting.

Danksta....how big is your load and at what temp?

A nug that fills the bowl and 700 most days. After the first hit I flip the nug and vape other side. 3rd hit I crush the nug and get really nice milk. If I want I can break up the nug and get a 4th hit. 5th hit is usually not worth taking.

A lot with whole nugs and the flower pot is how you prepare the nug. You just don't stick a nug into the bowl and call it good even though you could.

When I do whole nugs the goal is to disturb as few of the trichomes as possible. To prepare a nug to vape I will pull it open and even break it into smaller chunks if needed. I also arrange things to cover the screen as much as possible which is very easy (yes the nugs are still whole). Draw after draw I break the bud with a poker into smaller and pieces until the vapor is spent.

Manipulate the bud, don't let the bud manipulate you.

EDIT:
Of course if you have no time as @Justpassedu pointed out this is not a quick method

Ever try like manicure scissors or small gardening sheers?

I have all the parts for the flowerpot except the E-nail controller/coil? What is the best controller to get for the Flowerpot ($80-$120)? Also do I need a e-nail handle?

Good news:

I received my Rev B post in the mail today, sealed safely in an envelope.

Bad news:

I bent the "neck" of my coil trying to take apart my Vrod. I still can't get the damn thing apart. I've tried it cold, slightly heated, and on the cool down from a session. I've used my hands, one of those gripping pads, even channel locks. I've melted part of a packing blanket (used to protect against the channel locks) onto the Vrod because it was still too hot. I applied so much force the head of the coil is not longer straight with the handle.

I still can't get it apart :(

Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to go rip the shit outta my SH and lick my wounds. Pretty pissed with myself right now.

Ah damn! Sorry to hear that. I have noticed on my Vrod it has two flats on the lower section, opposed 180 °, that I believe are there so that you could fit a latge adjustable or open end wrench onto it. That may give you more leverage to work with. In my short experience with these titanium parts, I’ve had more luck when the parts were cold but ymmv.
I hope it works out ok for ya.

I agree with @steama that the controller NewVape sells is a good option, and if you have or are considering the VRod then that’s the easiest way to go. There are some other good options, but most are a bit (or a lot) more expensive.

The handle is completely optional, but I’m happy to have it. If you like making things and you’re on a budget though, several members have built their own and you can look at their posts for inspiration.

Guys, sorry bothering you, but VAS is kicking and I just can’t justify it.

I’m reading this thread and every one just loves the Flowerpot, and I’m sure I would. Problem is I can’t afford it.

I have a Omnivap, Mighty, SB Jr and Milaana, and I don’t know, but reading this thread I get the feeling that those vapes are a joke compared to the Flowerpot. I mean, I know you guys love this vape and are maybe a little bit biased, but would the Flowerpot really change my world about vaporizing?

I love my vapes, but reading about the FP I feel like I’m missing too much, like I’m just drinking a shitty store beer while you guys are having a perfectly draft beer. Am I overreacting? Damn, even If I’m not, unfortunately, at the moment, I can’t get the FP.

Sorry the rant, but I think VAS is kicking in and I’m overreacting a bit.

Thank you.

I am very late but feel kind of obligated to answer this. I own and use an Omnivap, Mighty, SB Jr and Flowerpot Showerhead so should be able to give you a good feedback.
I guess that is not the answer your bank account wants to hear but short answer: Yes, the FP would change your Vaporizing world, it did change mine for sure.

Longer answer: The FP is for you if you want to be able to go through a lot of weed quick, if you are searching for the right tool to get you to a 10, if you want to reach your desired level quick and if you like to experiment and play / tinker around....
it is not so much for you or better said you don t need it so much if you have a low tolerance, if you want to vape (semi)stealthy, if you need a good WAF (women acceptance factor) which should be better named "non-partaking-partner-factor".

It is less a toy and more a tool for consumption, feels pretty serious and has to be treated like this (more caution required as with your other vapes...)

Feel free to ask more questions...

Did you see this or has it already been posted?

https://vapefiend.co.uk/collections...newvape-flowerpot-20mm-barrel-coil-for-d-nail

its a FP Coil with d-nail wireing.... @Hogni

i guess probably i am just late but this is something talked about quirte often in this thread.

Have a great day!

Sorry, but who is the one getting personal?

So stock Ti bowl? If so...seems like your putting in maybe 0.3g?

I do not use the stock bowl at all because I prefer glass....but I recall when I first used the stock Ti bowl....it was huge.

Thank you.
I own an Omnivap XL (that i dislike) and a Mighty which was used as my daily vape for months before moving to an EVO and then the NV showerhead.
Both of the desktop vapes I've tried so far are a lot more powerful.

I tried using the Mighty again yesterday but I find I get more out of my herb while using less in the FP.
The mighty will be staying in the drawer except for emergencies and outdoors

@Doktor Dub , many thanks for your advice. But pretty strange that this wasn't announced by @newvape918. And why aren't they offered at NV's site and not offered as 110v version for our US friends?
Or ist it special customized version only ordered and offered by Vapefiend?
I've asked Frankie from Vapefiend about the dnail coil and he's gone to find out some more details

[edit] apparently they are the same coil, it came from newvape... or rather the factory that makes the controllers.

[edit] Apparently George has been told by NV that it could be up to 3 months for VROD parts too :o :(
They've only just had samples

I do not use the stock bowl at all because I prefer glass....but I recall when I first used the stock Ti bowl....it was huge.

I use the stock one for whole nugs so I can safely crush the nug inside the bowl after the 2nd hit. My glass bowl screen is too risky for that.

However I DO sometimes take the glass screen out of the glass bowl and put a whole nug in there. It's WONDERFUL for flavor.

After a couple hits I take the nug out and finish it in the Ti bowl.
