Hey All
So Iv had the Evo for about 2-3 years now. Been combustion and tobacco free for about 18 months.
I’m finding In the last month or so I have to keep turning the unit down.
When I first started I’d vape or use the quartz nails at 2 o clock.
Recently I’m turning the unit down to 10-11 o’clock in order to produce vapour my lungs can handle. Anything above that and I’m coughing myself stupid.
Has anyone else found that over time after quitting combustion they need to lower their temps in order to carry on enjoying the vape.
Cheers j

Have you ruled out your herb? Did this coincide with a new batch? Make sure of that first. It could be what it is ferted with? Or some herb just needs a much lower/higher temp, can be harsher/smoother etc.
You might also want to question the possibility that you have some type of respiratory infection as this itself would make vapor more irritating to you.

Anyway I do hope you can figure it out and carry on enjoying your Evo.

Thank you for your response.
The herb is all grown by me 100% organic. I may need to go and get my lungs checked out. I chainsmoked for years whilst on immune system suppressing drugs for crohns and worry Iv knackered my lungs.
Look into Oil of Oregano. It is a miraculous support and healing remedy for the respiratory system. It has been shown to reverse irreparable damage in long term smokers lungs, after being written off by doctors.
Turning the clock back years. I have serious allergies and heavly compromised immune system and have to permanantly battle multiple respiratory infections.

I simply could not live without oil if oregano, every single day, its a life saver I swear. This is the good stuff. It must be diluted to 50/50 with olive oil, but 60/40 (olive to oregano) makes it a lot less fiery on the tongue. It will be hot initially due to there being so much work for it to do, but this dissipates fast as it clears stuff fast and you acclimate. You can buy it 50/50, 60/40, or neat.

I buy the pure oregano oil and mix my own up, you just need a spare dropper bottle.
Undiluted:

40 %, one from Amazon seems to be cheaper. Lots of different options:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZANE-HELLA...pID=419r319VfEL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ZANE-HEL...483691&hash=item4d67fe5678:g:AOMAAOSwbwJaFBPI

I get 2 or 4 30 ml pure bottles and mix at home. Good luck bro with finding the root cause.

Hey mate thanks for the reply. Just ordered my self a bottle of the 60/40 olive oil/oregano oil from amazon. Going to give that a go putting drops on my tongue and see how I get on.
Apart from that just been experimenting with low temp dabs with the quartz vapexnails about 10 o’clock on the Evo and lower temp vaping flower at 185c.

Ok I just want to say that VapeXhale the company really turned around for me from the beginning days 6 years ago. I’m in awe at the level of customer service I have received.

I would whole heartedly and absolutely recommend this vape to anyone I know (*cough* unlike my Grasshopper which has been in RMA since Feb 2nd *cough*).

Bravo Seibo and team. Bravo!!!!

Its my most often used vape. Love the EVO and must have missed the bad CS of the early days. Although my CS interactions have been limited in number, they have been clear, quick and responsive to me so far.

Cheers

I miss my damn evolver hydratree. That’s all I want to say.

Also, I miss the crazy old hydratubes like the SSFG Hydraline. And the symbiartic and the devastator.

Ok I’m finished. Back to hitting the cloud.
Was just using my Evolver 'tree last night. It is a smooth MF! (not trying to rub it in, but you know how nice it is)

I have a (non-production) Hydraline.

Completely missed out on the Devastator, but have the China knockoff. I have to admit, I brought it out last week & have to admit the Calyx makes one excellent mouthpiece on it!

(The Hydra mouthpiece I found is perfect for my Pax2 with the silicone adapter)

Recently used my Symbiartic Chandelier for the first time in a while. I think it's time to clean her up real good & let her find her way to the classifieds.

I was just using my HydraTree and HydraLine the past couple evenings. I still love the smoothness of the HT and the ice fun with the HL, which is also very smooth. Sometimes I mount these atop my Hydrafoot 2.0 (which itself has ~30 slits on its big circ), inverting my EVO. Huge but comfortable hits off these pieces. IMO these tubes are much nicer than the styles VXL offers now.

Sorry to say, I don't think you can exclude the possibility that your EVO's temp control or heater has malfunctioned. (Of course, presumably that is much better than you having some kind of physical/health issue rearing its head.) Perhaps warrants a call to vapefiend or an email to VXL support.

Hey guys, at max temp settings, are you supposed to achieve combustion with the EVO? I had purchased a brand new unit that I traded a while back ago and now am owner of second hand unit since I wanted to have an EVO back in rotation.

At full max temp, I'm getting quick and awesome vapor production but I'm wondering whether I should be combusting at max and whether my unit is running cold. Also, I have a bit of play where the power cord plugs into the body of the unit, the housing where it plugs in and mounts can shift up and downwards a tad. Should I be concerned? It's working excellent and its a non whistling unit, which I love. So I hate to send her in for repairs.

If anyone can chime it, I appreciate it.

My evo needs cleaning badly..
I bought the small + medium rubber plugs from:
https://delta3dstudios.com/search.php?search_query=plug&Search=

Sadly the small ones are just too big.. (at least it feels like it would shatter the bamboo if i pushed it in.) had them shipped internationally too. :(
Should i have bought the extra small ones?
Thanks

The bottom of the EVO bamboo is about 5mm. So the x-small would probably work, although it would be tight. Fwiw, you can do ISO cleaning of the bamboo with q-tips, unless you've somehow got crud inside the heat chamber (the middle section).

So you are not combusting on max but wonder if maybe you should be? I wouldn't be concerned at all. I can probably force my EVO to combust on max with the right load for that and using a very strong pull. But otherwise, it probably won't. And my unit works perfectly; it certainly does not run cold.

Re the male power cord connector, as long as its barely moving and you aren't getting a short or power outage, I'd leave it be. It's been a long time since I've had a unit opened up, but IIRC that connector is inserted into the housing from the outside and held by a bezel and then behind the connector inside there are a couple wires which run to the circuit board (just behind the switch). Damn but I just can't remember what secures the connector, but it may only be the tension between the bezel (on the outside) and the connector body (on the inside). If so, then moving the power connector a lot could conceivably dislodge the wires, but very small movement should be OK. If I'm wrong (likely someone will correct me if I am) and the connector is directly attached to the circuit board, then you probably don't want it moving; in that case, I'd fire an email off to Support to get their opinion.

I have an original straight ice-pinch hydro tube. I became afraid to use it after warnings of careless users burning up their units w/ice-melt overflow. It has "jewels". I am too clumsy to use some things everyday.

Its the bezel on mine that is moving a tad. Like when plugged in, if i give a little push there is minimal play in up and down motions of that bezel area.

Do you still have the red caps that came on the bamboo? Use those, if you have them. If not, try contacting VXL & see if you can buy a pair. Honestly, I have never had to use more than a Q-tip with ISO to clean mine.

Don't be afraid to use it! Just be careful... I don't have the same one, but as the same with my Hydraline all you have to watch for is the ice melts & fills the bottom chamber. Don't leave it on the EVO & watch the water level. When it fills, turn it upside down & blow to clear it out.

Does that take full-size cubes? I have to break mine up a bit.

Thanks.
Are those little red caps made from silicone/ safe with IPA?

I put something through it that i found questionable and want to give it a thorough clean.
Im pretty sure theres stuff in the middle section.. turns out its not very good for oil :)

Dunno the red cap material, but a number of folks have posted here that they use it as a cleaning stopper. I don't think it's a problem if using ISO. Fwiw I found a very small cork stopper that worked at my local Ace Hardware.
