You are choosing the "image link" instead of the "direct link". The direct link will have an i. before the imgur.com and finish with .jpg. If you drop the direct link into the image icon at the top of the compose window that will work, or just add the image tags to it. ([i m g]direct link [/i m g] without the spaces that will work.

So, it should look like this without the spaces [i m g]https://i.imgur.com/flsxgge.jpg[/i m g]

Ya got it. :) And you reminded me why I hate being a flatlander...

So, which one of these guys do we like better? More natural habitat or more isolated?

Edit: Ok, I really can’t figure it out. Uploaded an image on imgur, copied the link, pasted it where I think it should be paste. But I’m missing something or I’m too dumb I don’t know :\

You need to copy and paste the BBCode link. That one will display perfectly with no adjustment or additional HTML

Or, you can drop the "Direct Link" (that looks like this https://i.imgur.com/w5MfVqV.jpg) into the box that opens when you click the image icon in the compose window.

Thanks a lot @cybrguy

I am on a tab, so I have to take the picture and upload on imgur app, go to the photo in the app, click « open in chrome » and then, in chrome, I can have more options for the kind of link I want.... not very convenient. But at least it works

Yeah, it's way easier to do on a puter. I have loaded the imgur app on my android phone now and it works OK, but not as easily.

Glad to help.

OK, I give up on Live Leak Not!

Vimeo and Daily Motion seem to work like this...

[M E D I A=dailymotion]x6l0zo3[/M E D I A]

[M E D I A=vimeo]274326838[/M E D I A]

Take the spaces out of the media tags...

Well, THAT'S annoying. The MetaCafe vids have sound and they auto start.

I have to apologize again for those auto starting videos with sound from metacafe. Very annoying every time I come here. Never again using metacafe, I just wanted to show how to post it.:rolleyes:

FYI: They don’t auto start for me.

So, I would like to figure out how to turn this off. This is the code, and there isn't a (apparent) switch to turn the vid on automatically.

[M EDIA=metacafe]11689586[/MEDIA]

I suppose it could be a browser setting, but these metacafe vids are the only ones that seem to autostart. If I could just kill the sound that would be enough. The vid playing in the background will use resources, but at least it wouldn't be so annoying...

I know they don't auto start for @Jill NYC. How bout others out there, do they autostart for you?

As a data point, I am using FF as my browser...

OK, they don't autostart in Chrome, so it may well be a browser setting...

Damn, they don't even exist in the version of IE I have installed. "Your browser cannot reproduce this video"

AHAH! I could find no setting in FF's regular interface, but there was an "about:config" option to turn autoplay on that was set to true. Changing it to false did the trick

It is interesting that the only vid provider that needed this fix was metacafe.

Relief...

Well, that is interesting. Yes, I get relief, BUT I can't start them at all now, even clicking the play button. I guess I just won't be using metacafe with FF...
