Arizer Solo II

So, hoping to not sound stupid here. :mental: Does the light on the Solo 2 charger turn green from red when charge is done? The screen shows full batt pic but light on charger is still red. Just wondering when it is officially done. Thanks!

No, the light on the charger does not turn green, go by the battery indicator.

Perfect! Had a couple chargers in the past go Red/Green and didn't see any word about it in the manual.

I love Arizer. It felt odd, setting the old OG Air aside, but it was worth it. I am loving this new Solo 2. So much faster heat-up time. I am pretty damn sure, now, that the old Air's temps were more than a bit off. (Darker AVB and hotter than normal vapor on Green, etc.). Very happy with the Mystic Blue! I just started the first round @ 405* and went to town. I'll play around w/ it later but tonight, I was looking to get seated right away! I did not enjoy the stock short stem, vapor seemed hot. Went straight to a little hodge-podgey, set-up I was using with my OG AIR. De-tipped Air stem shoved into a bong party bowl. I can either run it through some glass I have or a piece of whip fits nicely right inside the 18mm male adapter. So water or whip cooled! Very happy with my purchase. Next question would be, any MUST-HAVE stems of wood or glass out there that just have to be had? Very happy, indeed!

Looking for a new stem or two for my Solo 2. Are there any that aren't glass that I don't have to worry about breaking? I have not seen the wood ones from Ed's in stock.

Looking for some alternatives to the glass. Also do all the shorter one have smaller bowls/chambers?

Why don’t you give @Ed’s TNT a PM. He’s expecting a new baby really soon. His wife may have already had the baby. So he’s a rather busy guy right now. Let Ed know what you are looking for. I have a few of his wood pieces and a Woodscents log vape made by Ed. He’s a very nice guy and talented too.

Make sure he knows it’s for the Solo 2. There is a slight difference in the size of the oven between the Solo OG and the Solo 2. The Solo 2’s oven is slightly smaller than my Solo OG.

Edit
Checked in the WS thread on Ed. The baby has been born.

Just got my solo 2 yesterday and I was so stoked! This is my first time vaporizing, been combusting for the last 15+ years so it is quite the difference. Def a learning experience. I think I really enjoy vaping (I vape e juice) but feel slightly disappointed. Maybe I need to give it some more time and see what works best for me.

I was getting pretty lit on 3/4 packed short stem but honestly the vapor production was underwhelming. It was more wispy than anything (I was temp stepping to 210C)

Going to try a looser pack this time. Anyone prefer long stem over short?

First of, howdy! Welcome to the Forum. Lots of good folks with experience based advice to share. Settle in an join the fun?

Great choice with Solo/Air/ArGo! For a 'first vape', no less. Did you do your homework first, or just lead a charmed life?

You're at an awkward point, right now, not really experiencing vaping yet. You see your mind has associated all the nasty junk in smoke with getting off. Ever hear 'if you don't cough, you won't get off'? Long ago (15 years?) you had serious rejection from your lungs to get past, your mind learned the reward for that was THC. The two get tied together in your mind, can't really have the results without choking on it.

You need to break that link, unlearn the lesson if you will.

That means no blazing. Zero. Not even one hit. 'For as long as it takes' which can be a few days to two or even 3 weeks. I'd say a week on average, maybe a bit less for non 'every day tokers'. You will reach a breakthrough, we all did, and know it. Then, if you try a few tokes from a handy joint you'll learn it's still just as disgusting as that first time. Very very few ever go back (and I worry about those guys.....).

You'll find that without all the poisons in smoke, 'red eye' disappears. Among other improvements (like you don't reek any more). Any your weed bill will tank. On average guys report their consumption dropping to 1/3 or even 1/4 of blazing. And quickly move up to that top shelf with all the lovely bud you can now truly taste and enjoy. But you have to stick to the drill to get there, no blazing! Don't even think about cheating a little bit, it can 'reset the clock' and force you to start all over.

So you get to enjoy more, save a bunch of bucks, and live longer to enjoy it all. Pretty good deal, doncha think?

BTW remember 'mission critical gear needs backup'. Should your Solo fail or get 'lost' (stolen or confiscated) falling back to blazing is not an allowed option. You should have a backup in place. I suggest a different sort of vape, and one that's fun to use in it's own right. Maybe something fire powered? VapMan is a personal favorite, VaporGene also has a very large following. Magic Flight Launch Box is also very popular and well used by many. All are under $100 making them cheap insurance IMO and are great vapes anyway. Ones you should try eventually. Different from Solo/Ari/ArGo and similar vapes like Fury 2.

I prefer the 110 mm stems the Vapor is cooler and any particulate that gets through the holes in the bowl usually stick to the walls well before you get a salad treat. As for vapor quality try a coarse grind lightly packed or just jam a nug in.

Hey OF!

Thanks for that really insightful post. Yea I did quite a bit of research, I also must have spend hours reading through all of these wonderful posts/threads, also have learned quite a bit from your posts alone, so ty :)

Reconditioning oneself hit home with me, it is just like feeling the need to have a smoke right after blazing up (that has been very hard to break for me, vaping ejuice saved me on that!)

I'm going to take your advice and take a week off from THC, normally I microdose daily but it would'nt be too difficult to take a break, I was already thinking about it anyway lol.

thanks again!

Mine should be here tomorrow.
Ordered four extra stems because glass..........my guess is all will be broken in a month.
Hard floors, cats and butterfingers abound here anyone know of a unbreakable stem?

Theres some really nice wood stems that are made, I think Ed's TnT does some and there was another place I think but not coming to me right now. Alot of people that have them say theyre awesome, Ive yet to try them

I'm sorry, I obviously wasn't clear enough. You should avoid BLAZING, not vaping! Do not avoid THC, rather embrace it, but by vaping. Avoid combustion?

Combustion is a silly idea, really. I mean using THC for fuel in some ill advised fire just to heat what's left of the load up enough to evaporate a fraction of the remainder to blend in with toxic junk you should be avoiding anyway? Not something a thinking man is likely to do.......

Keep vaping, one day soon you'll break through and get the effect of the THC without the stupefying effect of toxic junk.

You just think you like the taste of smoke. Soon you will learn first hand one of life's most important lessons:

"You don't have to stick your face in the camp fire to get off".

Trust me on this, past that point smoking becomes repulsive again. You'll start thinking about how to convert that old bong to a Water Tool for vaping. BTW, we've got a great fix for that long neglected bong, the one too nasty to show anyone?

You're quite welcome of course, glad to help when I can as are many others here 'bouts.

Regards to all.

Think I'm finally pulling the trigger on an Arizer product with this sweet Summer sale.

Anyone have an opinion on which color looks nicer after months of use?

Kinda like those black stems too. If anyone has a pic of those in their black or blue unit, I'd love to see one!

Just received a new unit. My 1st Arizer product but I'm familiar with other stem vapes.

I think the screens that came with it were from PIU but maybe they were originals in the Solo II box? Unpacked it with too much enthusiasm!

Do you all prefer screens in your glass stems or overkill if using a coarse grind?

Been using this for a month now and I got a say I'm loving it! I only use at night (so i can sleep) for 2 sessions before bed along with a dram or 2 of some nice Scotch.

Battery life is just amazing. I get 6 days before I'm in the 20ish% range and have to charge.

I'm thinking of getting the bent stem for easier use. I think I'll enjoy that.
