Practice seeing how hot you can get with your Aomai single flame as that will get you the least heat cycles and the most vapour. You’ll want to be riding the ragged edge of combustion if you want to toast the bowl in as few cycles as possible.

I’m usually getting dark dark brown herb on my second or third heat cycle and considering the load to be spent.

Hmm, I was afraid that this would be the answer... I guess I'll just have to be risking combustion then. I could do this with the SS tip. I'm not that good with the Ti yet I guess. (SS does seem like it takes too long to heat in hasty situations).
Thank you though!

With the Ti tip and the Aomai I heat for a couple of seconds after the click for the first hit (as low as possible and with the lighter at a 45° angle, if perpendicular it can mean combustion) and half a sec or a bit more after the click for the second hit. With medium quality herbs that's enough to finish a load. If the herbs are too resinous and/or top shelf it might need three of those to fully extract.
Again, an angled flame seems really important for better heat dissipation.... :2c:

Yaaaay! I'll try that! Thank you!

Lady V.....if you get an induction heater.......the vapcap becomes a much much more controllable vape. I can get almost exact extraction like you want with the IH. I go 1.5 seconds after the click and get nice dark brown abv in few draws. I use a Ti tip and glass body with no carb through water....always with my caps.

Usually I do a normal first draw at the click to warm things up and enjoy the terps. Then within 30 seconds I go for the 2nd draw and go 1.5 seconds past the click...........hard heavy extraction and no combusting.

To be able to do this with a torch is very hard. Stay away from multi jet torches to not combust as much or as easy. Sorry to say....you will need to have precise heating to get the exact temp range to achieve those fast heavy extractions in a few draw without going all charcoal :whoa: lol

Also to others.....if you are worried about using the vapcap and it coming off as sucking on a crack pipe.....get in induction heater and this will disappear instantly! Also it is cool to have so much control to get what you want out of the vapcap. Especially if you go through water.....makes using the vape so fast and effortless.

Good luck.

I wonder why you find it very hard to do that with a torch... It feels really easy to me...

I even used it at home where the family isn't very weed-friendly and no one seemed to notice a thing (and they are the types that would definitely say something about it).
In situations like this I make sure I don't even approach combustion. I may save ABV for later full extraction, but in this kind of environment combustion will entirely give up the game, so I stay on the lower temp end of the scale. It's all a matter of priorities and potential consequences of getting caught.

YMMV as usual...

Well, an induction heater is in my future purchase plans, along with some of those gorgeous custom stems that people mercilessly post here (it really hurts you guys:D:D:D). But I'm in a tough spot financially and I'm afraid I'll be in that spot for a while.
Anyway, on the lighter end, I'm not really combusting anymore, but whenever I fool around on higher temps, I can get carried away and char my flower and I don't like this at all. Tastes like slightly burned bread.
For now, I'll try to test @natural farmer 's suggestion.

That makes absolute sense, but sometimes I had a time-frame of 8-10 minutes in which I could vape as quickly as possible and had some time to get rid of the smell. Thankfully, I was alright every time. The "safe" short sessions interest me because I 'd like to have the option when needed.
If there is a risk of getting caught I just don't vape (you are right, priorities!)

happy camper....
I hadn’t realized that an XL Silo is now available. The regular silo is my fave way to carry my Blackwood S. In case I’m not the only one who didn’t know, here it is...

Super nice and super expensive. Should be half the cost. I try real hard to justify my purchases but am not at all sure I could justify this one. :)

Edit: I can see where this Silo might be handy for stealth...just put a Mascara sticker on the side and keep it with one’s cosmetics. (Sorry guys...no cosmetic stealth for you!) :D

Agreed. I like the concept, but when you still have to carry the lighter separately and find another case to carry them together, you might as well just use separate doob tubes at that point. Now a silo with a built in lighter compartment would be super handy, albeit expensive AF Im sure.

And awfully long I would think. With the stash on the end and the XL length it is already pretty long for a regular (jeans) pants pocket. Doable, but getting borderline. I think stashes that have room for a lighter should probably do that side by side.

Personally I don't mind a lighter in my pocket.

Hey there!
I was wondering if any of you got any suggestions about quick extraction without combustion. While I was away the past few days, I found myself in situations where I really needed to be done quickly. I guess quick extraction would mean potent vapour, thus lots of coughing, but there have been times I had to be very fast and I 'm not very pleased with my technique. Keep in mind I usually fill just 1/3 or 1/4 of the bowl (Ti tip with a hemp filter and 2 SS CCD screens), pretty much complete air restriction (upside down cocobolo stem with SS condenser).
Im in this situation all the time. I just use the device per the instructions and depending on ambient temp and lighter Im using, I may heat 1-1.5 seconds past the click on the first cycle. Now my filter and draw resistance is different than yours so IDK if that makes a difference, but doing the above makes for a very quick and effective 1-hitter. Ive never combusted doing this. Heating slighty past the click on the 1st cycle w a triple flame gets you in-n-out with a potent hit faster than any other dry herb vape on the market. When its cold out, Ive heated 2 seconds past the click just to get any performance at all. It depends on the ambient temp youre in.

thats what I meant, side by side, not inline. lol. so it would basically be a proprietary dynavap case.

Last summer I went to a movie that had an outside line. I stepped about 20 feet away and heated up my VC but being in a hurry I went a little too far and combusted. The whole line turned and looked at me. Fortunately there were no assholes* in the line and there were no consequences, but there easily could have been. Vaping doesn't HAVE to draw attention, but combusting always will, at least in illegal states.
(*actually there were lots of assholes, but you know what I meant)

Forgive if this has been asked, I’ve searched here and google and can’t come up with much.

I’ve recently started pressing rosin, so I have a growing supply of squished “rosin chips”, the smashed herb pucks.

Could I either grind these up and use them in a dynavap, or break pieces off and put them in whole?

(Also torn between the M and the Omni, if anyone has any insights there...)

or I heat before the cool down click.
This. Always this. And always because it's not my first vape of the day and time acts really weird sometimes :D
EDIT : Apart from the crack association the other elephant in the room is that I have to TURN THE MUSIC DOWN REALLY LOW every time I want to vape. And I love my Vapcaps :leaf:

Even my pot smoking friends won't touch it. They just scream CRACK.

I've never understood this, at least from people who KNOW it's not crack.
I mean....it's not crack...and I don't know how much more straightforwardly it can be put.

Understanding what words mean and comprehension of entire sentences may be hard for some people, but c'mon?!?
Maybe these people shouldn't be using any drugs at all, as their brains seem to be in a very unstable state, barely hanging onto reality as it is.

I used one of my caps digger outer for pushing the condenser out of my M and the whole thing (digger outer, not the condenser) bent pretty badly. I've mostly straightened it but it keeps bending anytime I use it now, I think because it lost its original shape and looks flat instead of round like the rest of the cap. Any idea how I could fix it?

I was thinking of leaving it on the M body as support and hammering away to "flatten" it to it's old shape so it stops having those deformations that seem to make it prone to bending again.

JMO but I didnt want an all metal vapcap (M and Ti Omni) because they look like crackpipes. Same with the glass OG, that thing looks like its straight out of an episode of Cops. But the woody, carbon fiber, or any of these gorgeous custom body VC's dont. They add a touch of high class that makes it impossible for them to look like anything a real crackhead would possess..

When I was on holiday in Amsterdam last year I asked the nice girl on the small canal boat tour if it was OK to vape some weed. Fine she said, but when I torched up my OG glass (first love ), I got some pretty filthy looks (not least from my [insert your own sibling story here]) .

If I may be so bold....I take a pinch of the puck and sprinkle it over a little weed in the tip. It works well... a little more cleaning( gets more sticky stuff in the VC ). As far as a first vapcap, I go for the M. It is a good entry point. If you become a fan, which most do, there is a whole world of VC's to play with.
