I have that brown on there too. I might try the magic eraser. I must admit that I only dabbled in concentrate since the Cera but with this 5sec heat up and 25 temp select I’m being converted. Live rosin? I found that it’s fuckingcombustion incredible!!!

i fucking love this thing too lol. i just need to find out how to get glass chamber clean, Im going to leave iso in the chamber over night and see if it removes the gunk from the glass

Dudes and dudettes!!! I’ve been taking a whole dense nug and plugging it right in the cup. I have advanced cyan half up the scale and GO:cool:. Then I let the vapor build for a four count then draw for like an 11 count. :brow: I have it set for something like 15 sec or so. The taste is incredible no BS. Then I take the 7th floor pick for length and poke 3 holes in the bud and fire it up again and more sweet vapor.:ko: Then stir a touch and one final draw:science:. Done:sherlock:

using any non-Dr. Dabber branded cups could break your Switch or cause you bodily harm, and will definitely void your warranty.

Sounds like Arizer Air with 18650 batteries, Dr.D needs to get on top of making some decent cups themselves if they don`t want people like DDave to cut their lunch. I guess they say the same about the bubbler on top?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they upgrade the induction cups at some point. Obviously they need to have Ti or a metal of some kind on the outside of the cup for the induction heating to conduct heat, but eventually a smoother, thicker ceramic covering the cup would be nice. DD said it themselves that various accessories and different bubbler attachments would be comin down the pike, so I imagine it’s only a matter of time before little upgraded accessories like that become available. With the amount of power this thing is pushing out, n with the size of the well for accessories or cup upgrades, the possibilities are endless for potential upgrades. I wonder which will be the next brand to make a different e-rig to compete with the Peak, n now Switch. Guaranteed before the end of the year there will be another cool new vape/e-rig coming out that is going to require me to spend hundreds of dollars on it, even tho I already own multiple things that will ultimately do the same thing, lol.

you need metal to conduct the heat. It won't even start heating without metal in it. I think the nails are Ti with a ceramic powder coating-type of thing. Anyone with a quartz nail can take the quartz out and use that Ti bucket to dab.
Surely a firmware update would change that

I was wondering the same thing. There doesn't seem to be any opening and it even says in the manual that you can put iso in the joint so I don't see why we can't just put flower/trates directly into the joint without a cup. Might be time to experiment....

Induction only heats magnetic metals, a pure ceramic/quartz/sapphire or anything like that would not get hot. Evcen pure Ti isn't magnetic enough for induction. Without the magnetic metal cup, your peak would stay cold even at full temps, so no go there.

So a metal or at least metal coated cup is the only way to achieve an induction rig. That being said, I am surprised the quartz wrapped with metal doesn't work the best, it seems like it would but I haven't hit one.

Perhaps they could try a Ti lined metal nail? I know Ti itself isn't magnetic but they could easily wrap their alloy around a Ti cup too. I also know that sounds like a step backwards, but it may allow for easier cleaning than the "ceramic" and better heat transfer than the Quartz for quicker burnoffs?
I don't know. Just brainstorming because I wanted to love this. I wanted a Peak like device that I could get 120 hit from!!! @Dr.Dabber I am looking forward to some tweaks and revisions so I can jump on this thing!

Yes, an Iso bath/scrub will help with this. We recommend removing the induction cup and cleaning out the heating chamber whenever necessary. This will help eliminate any unwanted residue below the induction cups.

i filled mine with kosher salt and iso and used my finger to grind the salt all around.

it felt absolutely disgusting, but it removed MOST of the brown.

If it works, it works. Salt + Iso is usually the best on glass.

Received mine today. Haven't had chance to use it much. One thing I don't understand the self cleaning mode. When I hold down the + and reaches highest setting should't it start heating after 5 seconds?

The Switch comes with a programmed self cleaning cycle for CERAMIC induction cups. Using the (+) button, adjust the heat to the highest setting and release. Then, press and hold the (+) button for 5 seconds until the heating chamber lights illuminate PURPLE and the unit starts a heating cycle with the ascending red LED lights. The unit will start a cooling cycle, with the descending blue LED lights, when the cleaning cycle is complete.

The cooling cycle may last anywhere from 1-5 minutes after a cleaning cycle. You may also use a torch to clean induction cups or soak them in ISO alcohol for 10-20 minutes.

So far mixed feelings on the switch. Out of the box's settings where the first thing I tried. Honestly was disappointed in it. If that's all there was to the switch I can understand the dislike.

It wasn't till i started playing with advance settings that I began to see what this device is able to do. No matter how low I set it in normally mode it blackened the material in leaf mode. I began to wonder if was defective.

Switching to advance mode along with adjusting the hold time greatly improved things. I currently using advance mode in the 3rd blue color. Hold time short maybe 6-7 seconds with the black cup. I fill cup around half full then pack it down lightly.

My first impression outa the box was kinda really bad, but after using it and diving into the advance settings I am much more happy with the switch. Was going dive into the quartz cup but realized that i just had spent 5 five mins. watching the lights on the switch and it was break time.

Thanks my owners manual instructions are slightly different it's working now. Opps I just realized I doubled posted.

The current cups are grade 2 Ti lined with a medical grade ceramic and the outer cup for the quartz nail is Grade 2 Ti as well.. We will be coming out with a variety of new inserts and glass tops soon, stay tuned!
I wonder if a screen cup with top like on the evo would preform better with flower? As a cup or insert for cup. Thoughts?

I was thinking that as well, Minivap has mesh baskets that would fit nicely into the switch chamber. I asked this same question to one of the beta team testers and this was what I was told "Screens are not very good at absorbing the induction energy, so not having a good load in the switch makes the coil and the top end exposed to more magnetic field which might be bad, like running a microwave without any food in it. Also, if the screens aren’t heavy enough the Switch won’t detect them and it won’t turn on. Most any metal should work - it’s based on resistance."

I'm interested in trying the mesh basket but I don't want to fuck up my new toy
