Grinding To Go

Medium, fine, or both for my road trips this summer? I have a SCS and a GR8TR but I'm planning to just grind in advance and pack some 5ml tubes.

My available travel vapes in this scenario are:

Fury 2 (with dosing caps!)
Omnivap
Lil Bud (when it arrives)
Solo II

I'm most likely to use the Fury 2 because torching is less practical for the first few trips and the Solo II is less portable.

When I do seed runs I process the seeds out of the buds then store the calyxs in a sealed mason jar.
Keep cool and out of direct light it stays "good"for months..........good indeed.

You could also not grind.
All my vapes are fine without grinding. taste lasts longer too.
I don't grind. I don't have a grinder. I prefer my bud whole. I pinch a nug off a flower and if necessary break it up finer with my fingernail. I always have it with me and never have to worry about forgetting it. Easy to handle compared to chopped up material especially in the dark or in awkward positions.

I tend to find myself vaping in interesting new positions more frequently than one might imagine. I can hold things together much better with intact flowers.

+1 for medium....

I grind enough for two weeks but keep the ground stuff in air tight containers.

I have three levels of grind:
- Small, Almost Powder: My MFLB likes it that way.
- Medium Grind: A little larger than the size of regular ground coffee with some tiny buds less than the size of a BB.
- Large Grind: Crumbling a bud up in my palm or not crumbling the bud at all.

I use the medium grind for my conduction vapes (other than the MFLB) and for my convection vapes. The large grind is reserved for just my convection vapes when I'm flavor chasing and just want a "taking my time, chillin and enjoying the taste" session.

if I grind enough for a week and dip into it every day (oxygen), by the 5th day or so, the herbs are getting too dry and taste is not as good. I rarely grind more than a 7 day supply for that reason.

Awesome - thanks! I only use a vape on rare occasion so I should probably look at a minimal dose to grind (not let it sit for a full week).

What do you mean interesting new positions?

I'm just picturing him as Tom Cruise in a Mission Impossible film, trying to pack his vape while hung upside down over laser beams. :science:

Edit - There's a Lounge thread idea - strangest or funniest places people have vaped.

I also no longer friends d while travelling. I tend to only bring Vapcaps while traveling (a torch lighter and my ps mini are just way easier than packing along my other Vapes and their batteries + spares.

I used to bring a grinder with or pre-grind, but along the way I've adopted whole nugs on the go thanks to @stickstones and @Squiby. When I’ve got good material it is total flavor overload!
