Discontinued Ghost MV1

The removal crucible is outstandingly easy to clean. That's why I like it. You can go from one to another quickly is nice too. I do wish, however, the lid didnt require constant cleaning. A ceramic lid that sealed where the lid touches the green silicone would be ideal, I think. I also would like a bigger crucible.

Every 100th unit should come with weed too...

Ah im sorry that happened * big hug* how long ago did you get it? As well do you know if ghost vapes has a profile here? lol

No, Ghost vapes only has a profile on VLF. @Johatsu shita was expecting his vape sometime this week.

@Brewervapesalot, I don't mind the crucibles at all. I usually fill 2 @ a time. If I go back to fill a 3rd at a later time, I reuse the same crucible & just put a new lid on. ISO works like a dream on the lids & only takes a couple of minutes of soaking.

FYI- per ghost-ops on VLF, "One thing I can tell you is that we should shortly have sets of concentrate pads and crucible lids available for sale on our site as we know that customers don't want to have to purchase a crucible kit (lids, pads and crucibles) just to get their hands on these."

I finally got mine today after a shit ton of shipping shenanigans that I wouldn't wish on anyone. It will have it's first charge done in about 3 more hours so after I get acquainted with it and run a few crucibles through it you can expect a full review from me.:brow::rockon::tup:

Fuuuck man. I've already ordered one but here's the problem. You guys got me worried as hell now that I'm gonna get a defective vape. Wish I had read this thread sooner:doh:Unfortunately I got way too excited after watching VC's YouTube review and pulled the trigger. I've always trusted his word and demos and it's never let me down in the past but now I'm wishing I waited as well. Wish me luck boys, hope I get a good one...:uhoh:

VC stopped being a critic when he started getting paid by Ghost.

In my opinion every review he gives should be suspect from the day he started shilling. He's not a critic, he's bought and paid for.

Here's the thing. And I believe it concerns the health of this and every community immensely.

VC is not your typical member. He claims to be an authority on vapes and a CRITIC. Many members (including myself) purchased a MV1 based upon the glowing review and praise given to the unit through his YouTube videos.

What I received was not remotely close to what was claimed nor produced the results shown. The replacement HS did not help the issue and the unit they replaced it with has issues as well. I think the product has some nice ideas in theory but it's simply not ready.

Now we come to see that he is being paid by Ghost for units he sells (based on his reviews). This is tantamount to the Consumer Union of the USA doing the same and then continuing to claim to be a voice for fair and objective reviews of consumer products. It simply does not work by nature as there's bias involved and a preference to a certain company.

No offense to Bud or anyone else who may have objected to my statement. I'm sure he's a nice person and I have no intention of flaming him from a personal level. I do however believe you raise yourself to a level above the regular user when you refer to yourself as a "critic" as you possess a high level of purchasing influence. Bottom line is true critics don't take kickbacks in any form.

If you feel what I previously wrote or am writing now deserves a strike or some other consequence so be it. I feel it's beneficial to the community.

Peace.

A shill is someone who secretly touts a product while having a stake in it. This is against forum rules and we don't allow it. If you suspect someone is indeed a shill, please report it to the staff and let us deal with it. Pubilcly calling another member a shill is against forum rules. Just report it and leave public accusations aside.

You'll notice that we don't allow affiliate links here on FC as we'd be a rich target for anyone looking to making a buck selling shit vapes. We get enough spam as it is, but I digress... We do however allow members who have sites with affiliate links to participate here on FC as many of them have a lot of experience with vaporizers and can be an asset to the community. We only ask that they not promote their sites or link to them and for the most part this has worked well for us. People can and do judge these members by not only the quality of their content, but their advice about these products. The court of public opinion will ultimately adjudicate the validity of these endorsements.

I'm not here to tip scales one way or the other, I'm just here to keep this place civil, so your cooperation in that endeavor is greatly appreciated.

@Benzo100, herein is lies the crux of the matter. @BudVC never hid the fact that he was working with GV as a collaborator & collaborators do get remuneration for their participation. AND he offered a 30-day, personal refund to anyone who wasn't pleased with the vape, which he honored for well over 30-days due the the rollout issues.

Benzo every other reviewer gets paid the same way, but I'm the most open and transparent about my business. Everyone, except for you I guess, knew from day one that I had a relationship with Ghost, I never once tried to hide that, why would I?

I'm also having trouble finding any other reviewers who don't like this vape, except for one?

I don't get surprised or rattled by comments like yours anymore but at least if you're going to try then you should know what you're talking about, bruva.

Bud gets paid when he sells vapes, so do all your other favorite reviewers, and so does every website that posts vape reviews.

Main difference with me is I have a reputation I've spent 7 years building that I value more than quick money, it doesn't benefit me to talk good about bad products. (Switch?)

I got a comment like yours on IG the other day too, it's getting so old now, really, this has to be my last response to this nonsense.

I suppose you're choosing to ignore all of the reviews from users who like it?

It's not the best vape ever, nor is it the best vape for everyone, but to say it's crap and thus I'm crap is plain ignorant and makes you sound very foolish.

Stay up!

I nearly bought one based on the same YouTube videos.
I must have also missed where you said you were being paid by ghost.
Fortunately I looked around a bit more first..........reading this here now makes me glad for that.
Who else pays the reviewers is my question now.

Look in any reviewers description on their video. Idc if it’s VC, 420 vapezone, vaporizer wizard, sneaky Pete, vape fiend or vapelifex. I’m not calling anyone out, those are all the reviewers I watch and I like and respect all of them. My point is go look in any of their video descriptions. There’s gonna be an affiliate link to the vape they’re reviewing and if you buy through that link they get paid. Simple as that. Everyone does it and everyone gets paid the same way. Now a couple of the people I mentioned review for their own site so they just link to their site but that’s the same thing to me. I mean they’re doing the review to try to get people to click the link and go to theyre site. Fact is VCbud is just the same as any other reviewer. And at least he’s honest about it.. some are not. From what I’ve seen though, most reviewers don’t mind admitting they get paid through affiliate links. I know I don’t mind. They can’t do they’re job for free..

Vapecritics glowing reviews doesnt mean u have to buy it, money is urs, decision to buy is urs, if it turns out to be bad he offered a full buyback, i mean why the complaints ? Its like a free test trial, he liked it so much he put his money behind his words, thats good enough for 99% of the people out there imo

Ghost said I would have a replacement in July, and that's getting closer :)

After watching Vapecritic's review did I think this was the best ever. Nope. Did I think i was guaranteed a non defective unit, or units, as was my case--nope.

Has it been the best vape ever for me even on its best day? Nope. But I'm still excited 'cause it's likely that a working unit in my hands will be a very good convection vape with super low draw resistance that packs a punch and delivers quality flavor....

What i love about the company is their customer service i have never found any like them they simply rock! and you know i like how they keep trying to fix anything wrong with the vaporizer by sending you a part or getting in a replacement to fix it. its all about patience and if i think about it! im impressed they manage to make quality vapor a on demand thing which is crazy...

I truly believe, if you're not subject to bad luck &, therefore, don't have any issues with this unit, it's gonna fulfill your above desires.

I don't know if you've ever tried the e-nano, but best as I'm able to describe, the high of the 2 devices are similar in vapor taste & purity of 'high.' Huge advantage to me is that the Ghost is portable.

how come VC and other reviewers won't give MiniVap a shot? It's been out there since early Volcano times, more than 10 years ago?.. it kind of makes this vape look like a newbie.. how come people interested in the MV1 is not interested in the MiniVap? :S.. it has to be a matter of propaganda I suspect.. MiniVap doesn't get much of that and still packs quite a punch... at least it seems way better tan S&B portables, and way better than this one of course.

I would at least suspect of a person that a few years ago argued the PAX to be his absolute favourite due to portability, look and discreetnes and now is considering the MV1 to be the absolute best… weird

You're question is OT, but for a simple answer, before we conclude this discussion all-together: it is the MV's design (having googled & seen it for the 1st time) which doesn't appeal to me. It's the Solo; that cylindrical body with a straw. It's not the style of vape I choose to relax with. Vape design choice, being subjective, is like having an alcoholic drink -- to most, the glass does matter. The glass can either make or break the enjoyment of the drink.

And how come beer drinkers don't use beer glasses at home anymore? It's such an elegant presentation of a good beer. ;)

Why? Remember, I said vape style is subjective above? So for some, the Ghost is preferable to the PAX. Not weird at all. You're making a judgment based on your taste & perception.

is the outcome of my "taste and perception" that that person earns money for that review?.. for a person whose priorities are portability, look, discreetness, design, size, bulkiness, etc... I can't see how that person can go from the PAX to the MV1.. weird to say the least.

MV1 and MiniVap they both fit the same niche, still the MiniVap hasn't got one single review (after 10+ years in the market?) from the most important reviewers out there while the MV1 got them before even released…with really high scores in all of them by the way… WEIRD

Well, to each his own. I love my MV1, & as I previously posted, or at least I think I did, that out of my 4 vapes which I love equally, if I could only have 1 it would be the Ghost for sure. And, I assure you that I'm not weird.

And I don't know what you mean that a person makes money for reviews in the context of your 1st quote. :hmm:

I wouldn't trust the most important reviewers reviews blindy.. just be careful

Yes, but maybe this guy sees what I see in the Ghost, &, as such, he prefers it, however odd that might be to you. Doesn't mean he completely threw the PAX over, just put it on the backburner. Maybe I could at least understand your position if you it had said the IQ.

nah, there's just money involved, it's fairly obvious

MiniVap and Mistvape Touch won't even belong to the top 25 best portable vapes list of 2018 for some reviewers.... ROFL... it just feels like MistVape touch and MiniVap didn't pay those guys, nothing more
