Yessssssssssssssssssss!

That was probably me on the FT forums

Re. the loose tips: I keep a length of cotton thread in my kit bag to wrap around the o rings for a more snug fit in my glass collection.

If it truly was YOU...then thanks a billion! HA :)

Now as for that thread trick...I’ve used that for my regular vape attys, etc, but got the impression that making the O-ring fatter with glass/heat would cause it to break. Somebody put that idea to rest and that’s good because it’s an easy fix.

Well, nice seeing you again...enjoy your stay! :D

Does anyone have any tips on going into combustion temperatures? Such as max safe time to heat past the click and general safe wait times before adding oxygen in the pull?

When I first got my M, I used to max out and find out where the edge was. Then I realized I was missing flavor in the speed.
So I slowed down and found candles had their place too.
Recently, I remembered a Dynavap video where George mentioned the non-combustion option. Yet, I haven't caught many conversations here on the subject.

I was kind of hoping @Squiby might have already dedicated one of her soldiers to exploring these ranges? ☺
Anyone?

The problem with coming up with such precise instructions is that the number of variables that come in to play is so high and their effect (and interaction) so crucial that it defies easy description. Type and number of nozzles on your torch, how close to the tip you hold it, how high is the flame, where on the cap is it pointed, tip metal type, etc etc. Moisture content and grind of your goods. Almost everything you do effects your hit and the temp of the tip and cap.

The very basics are common to all, and we point them out, but the precise method is probably different for everyone.

Hi there, in my short time as a "vapist" since just before 4-20, I have come to understand that having one point of consistency with the heating process really helps: I stop the moment I hear the first of two clicks. The second click happens as I am putting down the torch and fumbling to get my finger over the carb and then I take a long steady draw. Keeping that one consistency makes adjusting the temperature only from where the torch is aimed a much more reliable process. After a couple of heating cycles I dump and examine the herb for any green, then re-pack from the palm of my hand - a very easy process. I cannot believe how many draws I get from the ti tip with the screen placed for half bowls. I also have one, two, and three burner torches, LOL. Here's at least a couple of weeks worth of ABV:

whew, got the image in there, LOL

This is why context is everything when it comes to quotes. Who knew o-rings could sound so sexy!

Dude, you gotta post this here:

@natural farmer what did you use for the bottle cap end to stick the omnivap into? at first i thought you had just melted in a glass adapter but then for the close up at the end i have no idea what it is lol

This post should answer your question.

Haha @Summer! No, it wouldn't... :p

This new cap is improved, the VC is placed and removed very easy and it also doubles as a great mouthpiece.
So, @Tronzo669 , it's an old fat mouthpiece from Dynavap, one of the stiff ones, not the very soft silicone like they shipped at some point. It's securely fitted in the hole I bore on a cap with 3 orings which are glued together with gasket paste and form a single fatter oring. This fat oring was used for my Project Eraser by Pipes to be able to use a VC as a stem. I am sure they can be replaced with some 1/2inch silicone tubing like mentioned on the post @Summer linked and then just friction fit the fat mouthpiece in there. A combination like this gives a far more secure and tight fit for the VC than using only some silicone tubing or the fat mouthpiece alone.
Need pics??? :D

Oh Omni, such a trusty companion in life...
Long live George and his beautiful mind!

Disclaimer: I'm notoriously clumsy and I'm 99,9% sure you won't have the same cleaning issue as me.

A cleaning question.

I used a Q-tip and some ISO to clean the condenser tube. I have the same problem like I had with the alcohol wipes: tiny pieces get stuck in the condenser tube. I already torched it (lots of smoke escaped from the tube) and rinsed it in water. My next step is to throw the condenser in coconut milk and rinse it afterwards.

Any other recommendations to remove those pieces? I'm afraid pipe cleaners would also leave some tiny bits behind.

Yesterday Mary Jane Expo was very nice. I spent just a little time with George. There were too much people I had to meet up the whole day.

Back to your inquiries.

1) SS tips only will be offered the next few weeks.
2) George hopes that release of the IH will be about Oct./Nov.

Tried hash (from the dispensary) for the first time using the Vapcap. I used a tiny, tiny amount and heated the vape three seconds past the click. Clouds were huge and the effects were overwhelming. These vaporizers are amazing.
Definitely going to try me some hash - mostly used to crumble into cigarette tobacco back in the day to make scuzzy joints, but I did like to hit on "hot knives" or a small piece smoldouring on a pin inside a bottomless plastic soda bottle.

If you've been dilligent and not combusted, the condenser reclaim is an awesome dreamy high (at least for me). Degummed hemp fibre rolled into a ball and pushed through the condenser a couple of times should get most of it. Some clumpy bits will form, sometimes it's almost treacly - doesn't matter. Try to get a fairly even distribution on the hemp and chuck it into the chamber. Should be good for a couple or three cycles. THEN soak the condenser :D

Thanks for the fiber tip  They say a glass of warm milk in the evening is good for sleeping. I think your milk works better!

Whoa! A new word I never heard. Yes, I did google. ;) For those who don't know -- molasses. :)

Glad you had a nice time. BTW, the ss tips are not in the parts section on the website. :\

They changed the way the inventory is presented on the website. Instead of a grid type layout where, with 1 or 2 scrolls, you could get a birds eye view of all offerings, you now only see 2 items side-by-side at a time & have to scroll down continually to see everything. You lose the ability to visually compare woods, etc. without scrolling back & forth repeatedly. It's worse for me cause I use a larger font on my laptop so even more scrolling. Don't like at all. @VapCap, just my :2c:. :)

Man, I got a gift of a small dispenser of (Dutch) Royal Queen Seeds "Power Sleep" which is per 1 ml: 2.5 mg cbd, 1 .5 mg melatonin and 0.7 mg vitamin B6. (I know these are not laboratory figures) This sends me off ot the Land of Nod sharpish (I will probably have had 3 or 4 one- third loaded Vapcaps over the evening as well).

As a person matures, the body produces less and less of the natural sleep hormone melatonin, resulting
In less and less hours sleeping, and more and more hours staring into cyber space....

A little melatonin goes a long way, add a toke of your VapCap, and Dreamland!

The next morning, you are

I don't produce melatonin at all and they found that out when I was an adolescent. 5mg melatonin and a Vapcap filled with an indica helps me greatly to visit Dream Lala Land

Ditto. Meaning with some melatonin/VapCap snoozing is a piece of cake—until some anxious wet
Muzzle gently wakes you up in the middle of your night....

PS I totally got your signage (AKA “Café George”) —had hoped for pictures of
smiling VapCaps, et al!

@Hogni ain’t producing no pictures, nyet all. Nyet all.

As I've said the day before yesterday there were just 2,3 pics which could be worth being published. Not my cam. Have to look first how to transfer them. Yesterday I took no pics. Just short in time, have to walk the dog and then start again to the MJ.
