Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Just got my backup 24cm mobius matrix clone from Popular Glass.... and it's smaller than what I have now. The entire glass piece is slightly smaller, but the mouthpiece is significantly smaller, and worst of all - I get water in my mouth. Useless! The GAS continues.... i'm done with these dewaar joints, this one doesn't even fit my dnail slim series base AT ALL (major wobble, no seal)... I wonder if I was sent a "B stock"? It was discounted by $10 due to a chip in a water tool from a previous purchase from Steven. Think i'll ask him about it, although i'm guessing this is pretty standard with cheap, china glass?

I just received 2 of these from Popular Glass, they sent an extra because the first was 3 weeks overdue.
They are slightly different, the newer one (by a week) is shorter overall(220mm v225mmm), shorter in the body(2mm), smaller diameter body(2.5mm), shallower mouthpiece(better), shorter mouthpiece tube(2mm) and has a thicker base(1mm) and weighs 10grams less. I prefer the newer smaller one to the older one, but my D020-d seems better than both as it is easier to pull but the mouthpiece tube has hardly any bend in it and makes it awkward to use with larger vapes..
One thing to note is my HR Fury2 will not work in either new sidecar as the joint is too low and the body of the Fury2 hits the top of the rigs.(easy fixed using an 18 to 14mm adapter)
As you said, the GAS continues.

Thanks @LesPlenty I thought you were on to something until I read "sidecar". The piece i'm referring to is:

[link removed]

shallower mouthpiece(better)

Much worse for me....I love the larger sized cone. With this shallower one I find it much harder to make a seal. Then again, I think 99% of the mouthpieces out there absolutely suck, especially the most common flat style that is completely non ergonomic to me. But overall the breaking point for me was its function, and water up the neck/mouthpiece. But like I said, we're probably not even comparing apples here?

I heard back from Steven quickly!

Friend, this style have 2 kinds size.
one is 24cm tall, another one is 30cm tall, before did you buy 30cm tall?
Friend,if all are 24cm,they should be same, becasue we only have one kinds mould for each size.

Which is pretty much what I expected him to say. Sigh. GAS on!

Ah, that piece, I always thought it looked like the bottom was missing. When I said one of my sidecars mouthpiece was shallower, it was only by a small amount, still well scalloped, the way I like it. It just feels more natural not having to mold your lips to anything, it is like a mini oxygen mask or should I say laughing gas mask.

Those type of bongs look like you should use them standing up at a bar, not much good for sitting back relaxing.
Speaking of bent necks, all my glass pieces neck tubes have barely any bend in them, they are not far off straight. I have asked sellers about this and they say to ask for a really bent one in the message when I buy. I am going to have a go at heating up one piece I ended getting for free and will try to bend the neck a bit. I have plenty of welding safety gear so don`t worry about OHS, I only have the large butane torches for copper braising etc. to heat so I don`t know how I will go, slow and steady. :)

Last year I got the sunshinestore hydrabase with circle perc and the chandelier hydratube. I find the base is basically unusable with water. It gets water into the bottom of the hydratube. Anyone have any luck finding a hydrabase that you can put water in and it won’t splash into the tube?

Hi all, thank you very much for your feedback on the first design for the Q-Tip/ISO Jar. I've brought over your suggestions to the seller. The most popular suggestion was to make the ISO chamber bigger, so we did that.

A few people expressed interest in downsizing the joint to 14mm to use the plug for their other glass rigs. Some people also wanted to stay with 18mm because it was easier to pour alcohol in, and the 18mm provides more volume. The seller may either make both 14 and 18mm available for both designs, or may just make Sample 1 as 18mm and Sample 2 as 14mm.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions or questions. These should be available next week on DHgate.

Thanks for sharing that. I looked at those options from Sunshinestore. I bought an Evo half price last week to try it out. It won't work for me so I've already arranged to sell it to a friend.

I was going to suggest the Hydrabase setup from there.
The reviews are generally pretty good though? I wonder if it makes a difference if you use your own Hydratube or the one offered with the Hydrabase?

No all my hydratubes get water in the base. IMO the perc either needs to lower in the can or the can needs to be taller. The hydratube from them is awesome but the base with circle perc sucks. I may try the tree perc from sunshinestore or one of the bases from Stevenlmz as they look taller.

Guess also that it isn't stable enough. Base too small and light and if iso is filled in point of gravity will change to that side in addition. Needs a wider and thicker glass base at least IMHO

WAY BETTER :2c:

What do you guys think is fair? I'd pay no more than $30, and even that's pushing it. Would be nice though, presently using a shot glass for the distilled water and small mason jar for the swabs.
