With the lineup you have I’m not sure why you want either...if you need a small battery powered portable I get it, otherwise I doubt either will impress you after something like the Mighty or E-Nano from what I’ve heard.

If you just want something new and different I’d recommend a good desktop or something like a Sticky Brick since you seem to like torches, or a maybe a Milaana, Splinter or Tubo...even better a Nomad if you can wait for it. :)

There’s a lot of good stuff out there, and while I hear the Pax 3 and Starry are both decent, I don’t often hear favorable comparisons of them to other good vaporizers.

If you need something small and battery powered though, they might be what you need and hopefully someone else will have better advice. The DaVinci IQ might be worth looking at too in that case.

You looking for a small portable and discrete ?

otherwise if your just looking for a powerhouse I can recommend the Hydrobrick from Stickybrick labs

I got the Enano and grasshopper but the hydrobrick can with right technique blow them out of the water with its huge bowl and instant heat up time (its a torch vape) ;)

That's right guys.
Small, quick to warm up, preferably with changeable battery and that allows to use the technique mouth to lung.
I'm really in doubt between pax 3 and starry 2, but I'm afraid starry v2 is too "chinese"...?

Yeah then you have the same problem as me
own a good portable battery power vape but you want a second one

I been looking at the Xmas Starry v2, Spirit and the Force from HealthyRips but think I might go for the Fury 2 because I am planning on getting a powerbank anyway for my grasshopper and that is suppose to complement the Fury 2 and its internal battery

Only thing is that I am not sure I want to go back to the conduction oval oven off the Davinci Ascent that basically ate weed and what shit quality build and that seams to be my problem with Starry/Spirit and maybe the Force also ? :/

but I want a silent small discreet vape under 200 bucks that is preferable convection

Agreed on fury 2 being better..pax 3 is fast but I think fury is faster..you already have the Argo which is small and fast enough..the pax is conduction city and so is starry I think..which is fine but it’s gonna be a step back from what u already have,. I get vas but step forward....not back..

Fury2 no need to look elsewhere.
Best small vape on the market.
Low low price.

Fury 2 stomps both the Pax 3 and the starry but Fury 2 kills the starry to death.

Agreed on fury 2 being better.

Thank you guys
I had discarded the fury2 for being convection ... does it allow the mouth-to-lung technique? Not too "Chinese"? I do not like the mouth piece.

Another thing I forgot to say, I never use bongs

"Mouth to lung" technique is something I was just confused about, you mean filling just your mouth with thick vapor and then pulling that into the lungs ?

I personally go with the "vape bowl to lung" method where I just inhale until lungs are full :D

but then you better have a smooth vape that is not harsh, that took some fiddling and DIY with the grasshopper until I could do that

I agree with the Fury2 recommendation but will add the grasshopper. If you want a conduction vape, pax is great and the pax 3 has really fast heat up. Great build quality too

That's right. Conduction!
If this is the main reason you think pax3 is the best?
And Quality of construction too?

I honestly don’t have experience with the Starry, but I do with pax. Solid company, solid vape. Yes to your questions.

I’m a form and function guy, and pax really suits that.

I recently got the Pax 3 (after hating the Pax OG years ago) and I am really happy with it.
I get a very different high with it than other vapes I use, probably because it is the only conduction vape in my regular lineup.
It is a great MTL vape. The only thing I dislike about it is that you have to vape a decent amount of herb with it. In other words, not efficient.
I can’t compare it to Starry, as I’ve never used it before, but the Pax 3 has been impressing me since I got it a couple of months ago.
I wouldn’t recommend it as someone’s only vape, but if you are looking to broaden your vape signatures and want MTL - the Pax 3 is a great choice.

Got both the Pax3 and the Starry V2, the Pax3 is a very small and sleek unit but more a sipper than a big hitter, you can't microdose but with the reduced lid you can use a small amount. It doesn't works well with coarse grind or full flowers, use a medium-fine grind for best results. It was my vaporizer of choice when i was going to the restaurant or somewhere i want to be very discreet!

Starry V2 get some advantages in my opinion despite to be slightly bigger: replacable battery, more powerfull heater offering bigger hits, efficient concentrâtes use, no fancy app and a lot less expensive. A very good travel vape and for sharing in a concert or when in the wild. Can i add you can toss it ungrounded flowers with great success (Something I like when I'm lazy!)

They are equals in term of cleaning (both need regular cleaning), in term of heating method (both conduction), in term of components quality(lot opf doubtfulls components like in a lot of portable vapes) and they offers similar flavor profiles. Both need a sort of cure to get ride of an initial factory taste but I found the Starry to be slightly better in this topic but others might get a different experience.

I'm Under the impression Pax get the advantage to be a large company with a pretty good CS (I didn't experienced it myself) and X-Vape is a chinese company with a quasi non-existent CS but you'll get one through your retailer (choose a good and reputable one).

For myself I ended to trade my Pax3 for some big colas and I still use my Starry V2 on an ocasionnal basis (but i own a lot of others vapes for the same purpose: Fury, Alfa,FM Nano, Fog, Prima,...)

IDK if it will help you though....

What's your opinion on the Fog vs the Starry V2?

Hi, @herbalism
Pretty similar design but when it comes to performances they are very different since the Starry is full conduction and the Fog is full convection. Starry is nice for walk around since heating method allow you to take short but dense hits and the Fog need long and deeper inhalations to offers nice thick hits.

Starry seems to work better with concentrâtes.

Fog offer a better taste and is conservative with our meds.

Both are pretty stealth but the Fog is slightly smaller footprint.
Hope it helps!

really?! Pax3 is 15 seconds 10 seconds or less is crazy
15s! to lowest setting maybe but when used at 3 palms I have to wait up of 30s and to heat the Starry to 200°C I need less than 30s (around 25).... maybe my Pax3 wasn't working properly...?!
