Does anyone know of an ABV recovery technique for volcano poo that doesn’t stink up the house (and isn’t dangerous)?

I’m looking to get something vapable out of it, not for edibles.

The EZ Valve truly is a game changer. And paired with the Reducer you have the most personal experience with the Volcano (IMO)

It sounds like you have an excellent start!! Maybe a storage container for ABV if you’re into cooking or that sort of thing? The really important things are: Storage, a grinder and a scale. Oh and maybe a notebook to keep track of strain information and dosing.

Delta3DStudios has a few goodies for cheap, I personally recommend this dude as he does all these creations himself. Truly out of love xP

https://delta3dstudios.com/plugin-vaporizer-accessories/volcano-vaporizer/

I actually have a pax3 accessory from Delta3DStudios that I love! I’ll definitely check out his volcano stuff.

After having my new ez valve for a few days, I now realize that I was just completely fucking up medicating with the solid valve in general. It was literally taking me hours to medicate and I think the problem was because I could only do one bag at a time with the solid valve, the whole thing was just taking so long that by the time the whole process was done, I had to start all over again almost.

So I’ve now got it dialed in to half a gram of material, 2 bags at 410° and I’m usually pretty good. Someone please tell me if that’s super inefficient or something, but it seems to work. I tried Vitolo’s suggestion of starting at 370°, but I get only very light vapor at that temp (not sure if I’m doing something wrong).

The third bag at 410° still has good vapor but it hurts my throat, just too harsh. I’m number one on the waiting list for the next obsidian shipment, so I’m hoping that might help.

BUT...I have a bunch of kief that I think would be good to use in the reducer but I’m not quite sure how. I’ve seen talk of sandwiches, but do you need to do something to the kief, like squish it or something so it doesn’t blow away? Because doesn’t it all kind of just blow around inside the chamber?

The dosing capsules and reducer are awesome for straight keif.
Don't pack too tight set the dial on 7 and I get five bags of awesome with no mess.

Do you need to use a certain amount or you can pretty much use any amount in the dosing capsule? Do you need to put some kind of extra screen or anything?

I’ve actually made a post regarding the loss of surface area needing compensation of raising of temperature.. I think you’re dialed in at the proper temp (I actually use that exact temp 210C) and find the proper extraction to leftover ABV. It also doesn’t harsh up the bag-o’s.

Keep at it!! You’re getting it down!!

I ordered yesterday my magma and i'm waiting!

If you want i have a guide to make oil from abv. I used this method recently, i think that this recipe works, but my oil wasn't so good, i think for my fault. The guide is in italian because i'm from Italy.

Grazie Nicola, I actually found a friend who is going to do the abv recovery for me. So happy that I don’t have to do it myself!

I wonder if the vapor is filetered by water in magma... How much "high" is stolen by water?

Go buy some 192 proof polish alcohol.

Many stores sell it.

Take 1 oz of ABV

PUT IT INTO a big mason jar. Add one cup of the alcohol. More if required.
Some people say time is needed for this soak. I say a few hours is enough.

Now pour this alcohol into a filter made from cheese cloth and or coffee filters.

Once you have done you will need to evaporate the alcohol. Use heat carefully to speed things up
Alchohl burns be careful.
Anyway after a time once alchohl has evaporated you will end up with a goooo which is capable of vapping. The other easy thing to do is Make cannabutter. Buy the device on amazon. So freaking easy. Makes butter for cooking and eating.

It's better to water cure abv to improve taste before extracting with alcool.

Really? I found many recipes that talk about max 3 minutes of soaking. And i also found cold extraction is better: mason jar + alcool + abv in freezer since night before soaking and then soaking still in freezer. Do you agree?

Volcano is too harsh and dry for me. It's my least used vape out of my collection. Vapexhale is my favorite and then a Dynavap for portable

Have you had a chance to try it with a Magma?? If so, do you still feel it to be dry/harsh??

Could you tell me why you prefer the VapeXhale to the Volcano?? (Flavor, efficiency, cloud production etc.)

I LOVE my OmniVap and have been finding myself using it ALOT lately

Vapexhale....hands down. Flavor and potency are superior. And freshness. With the Vapexhale you use smaller bowls so the hits always have a fresh taste. With the lynx adapter and a whip, the Vapexhale has the smoothing hits.

Ease of use goes to the Volcano...and the evenness of the vaped material. Also if I was a medical patient, I may go volcano of I needed low draw resistance or the Ease of loading the bigger chamber

That’s really interesting — And I appreciate your insight on it.
I’m about to pick up a Woodscent Aromalog from Ed (he hasn’t been turning lately but he’s promised me he will very soon.) I believe they are pretty much the same idea as a VapeXhale, or at least similar in design.

Convection style heating + WPA. So yeah, very similar. Also DynaVap compatible

If there was a way to hook up a whip to the Volcano (like a Plenty) it’d be on some next level shit. I mean we all did the tubing for 2 seconds but I mean a legit setup.

Perfect timing...I had the Evo and volcano with magma out last night for a small gathering. Evo is smoother than volcano with magma, imo. The first magma bag is great, but still got a little harshness on the second bag, although better than without magma. Evo was never harsh. I ran them with same temps.

@stickstones

What do you call "magma" ?

Do you use your Evo dry or with a water-tool ? ( i wish i could test it ... maybe a day ).
Is the dry mouth piece of the Evo may cool the vapor better than the bag system of the volcano ?

I find Volcano vapor smoother when filtred by water. ( True for all vaporizers in my own experience/preference ).

He is referring to this tool for the volcano: https://www.magma-industries.com/

In the meantime, while I’m waiting for my obsidian to arrive, I use a water pipe with the volcano balloon. Does anybody know of a doodad or something to make the balloon stay on the pipe so I don’t have to manually hold it the whole time?

Every now and then the Volcano comes off harsh. I think this happens when I load large amounts on higher temps. In these cases, I like to go from bag through water, but I think the Magma smoothes it out even better than this.

We used the Evo with a cheap hydratube last night. It's amazing for anyone who likes to vape through water. I use the dry tube all the time for even better flavor.

I have not tried a Magma...i had to Google it. It looks nice and I will order one because I do love the ease of use and consistency of Volcano but there is something about a fresh Vapexhale hit that just feels so good

IMO those vaporizers are very different. There are many convection vapes on the market and they all perform differently.

I used the Volcano for years as a daily driver but I had to stop using the Volcano due to harshness. I know quite a few on the forum who have said the same. I always assumed it was something with the bag system, maybe just a sign the bag is dirty, IDK.

This Magma thing seems pretty interesting, but knowing that vapor doesn't like to be cooled, I assume it leads to more condensation?
