A little different to what I have seen, it is called a gravity bong here, no bag on the bottom, water in a bucket/larger bottle than you use for the bong is used by pulling the bong up and the water and gravity do the work of your bag.

this is called "Eimer" where I live

Huh! You guys think you recognise (where am I from, @kushkush ?) the MUNCHIES, but I've been prescribed Mirtazapine 15mg for insomnia ( Remeron, Rexer etc. depending on how BigPharma has divvied up (@kushkish?) our planet). Now that 'lil pill provokes the mightiest munchies known to man, Nothing is safe in fridge or pantry! Nothing. Cocoa and chocolate biscuits at 11PM. Sardine sandwiches at 11.3o. A Cadbury's milk chocolate Twirl for pudding (@akushkush ?). Truly scrumptious!
NOTE: I'm only teasing @kushkush - I'm a teacher of English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) - these things amuse me :peace:
Location: Oz....short for Australia, I will fix, most Aussies can speak quite good English, unless they are from Queensland, Ay But.
'Carn the Bombers! Let's win that flag (2020 ). Who do you barrack (@kushkush?) for @LesPlenty ?

Back when it was worth following (VFL days), Carlton, nowadays Gold Coast Suns  if any. I would rather watch State of Origin, Queensland of course.
Back on track, I seem to have combusted again , I have found that a little bit of dishwashing liquid in an ultrasonic cleaner seems to do wonders for the smell instead of Iso.
I have been hammering the 2 flame Honest and heated a little low on the cap, only to the `Click` but still got a hint of char, did not really see `smoke` but I think I am turning into a bit of a flavour snob. :) Hard to believe I used to smoke 25-30 spliffs a day less than 12 months ago :mental:

@Summer now that’s what I call a really fine video. I’m sending it to my friend because I ordered two of those at about $11 each (one is for her) from DHGate and I want her to see how it works. I got her an M not so long ago and am encouraging her to vape instead of combust. Thanks for that really great video...she knows just exactly what needs to be seen and heard.

^ For the above conversation:

Of course one can make a lung ( Vung, in this case? ) out of the top half as well, if one were so inclined..
Or just cut any other beautiful glass bottle's (wine, champagne, beer ones!) bottom, smooth it out and make a maybe even more durable one and also free! Thanks for the idea buddy! On the lookout for one!!! There are some really pretty ones out there just from a short googling! :brow:

@kuskkush

Damn, this bucket is so much more cumbersome to use than a vapor lung! And is it cleanable?

I honestly don't know the deal.
What's the point of these wonky things, to cool down the vapor more?
I'd be interested [but I thought I heard the gal mention 'harshness' anyway?]

Yes! The vapor can still be harsh no matter what device you use to inhale it, but usually it does help to filter it thru something to cool it down just a little bit.

As for cleaning the accordian-like gravity bong...I thought about that too but after a while just thought, who cares? Is resin ever really ‘dirty’? I can see wanting to clean glass because it would look yucky after a while, and you can easily change out the plastic bag with the Vapor Lung. But with that Gravity Bong....it probably doesn’t really matter. :)

Since someone mentioned that there is a new tip on the horizon, I would really like to know where DV is going with it. What will be different? Will it replace the current tip or be an option going forward? How far off is it? Should I wait (the reason not to pre announce) for it if I know I'm gonna need another?

Inquiring minds and all that...

I gotta say this is really tempting, and for $10 more a lot less work than doing it myself...

Wow combustion is wasteful...I could use a VapCap for several days straight on the material she burned there... :disgust:

I do have a low tolerance, but even someone who vaporized that much at once would get several huge draws out of it and none of it would have that gross “indoor smoker’s walls” color, etc.

I know you posted the video to show the device rather than what went into it, but it’s still a good reminder of the advantages of vaporizers. :)

Took my M to a bbq yesterday, gave it to a friend to try (i did the heating) immediately upon caching the bowl he went online and ordered his own!

My third vapcap convert!

Nice

So far I've had two friends text me the next day after showing them my M, asking me for their website. One bought an M, and one bought a Vong. I was proud of myself :-)
(The one that bought the Vong already had a Mighty, but had never heard of a Vapcap, but the guy that bought the M did not vape before this)

Hell yeah. You can buy a bottle-cutter. I've been meaning to get one for a while so I can make cups from nice bottles.

I honestly don't know the deal.

It's more to get a larger hit. Some people like it because they find it easier to inhale a large rip on one of these because of the way moving the full bottle down pushed the vapor/smoke (these were around for combusting long before people used them for vapor) out, rather than having to pull it out with resistance.

Good luck with that accordion thing after you have used it for a while and it gets sticky...

Yeah. I bought one of those at a local head-shop in a town I was living in 15-years ago. I took it out of the packaging, looked at it and immediately returned and exchanged it for something else.

Make or buy a gravity bong or a waterfall bong if you want this kind of experience. Don't buy this garbage.

For me, the vapor-lung specifically, not only filters and cools down the vapor in the most affordable way, which are very important reasons on their own, but also, and most importantly, pulls out a competent different vapor from some specific devices. From my experience the vapes that made the best pair with a vapor-lung so far were the Solo, the Hot-Pod (a now discontinued log vape) and most recently the Vapcap. I hated the taste of the Solo's vapor dry or with bubblers and such but I adored it pulled out with a vapor-lung! :luv:
The full convection Hot-Pod log benefited more from the cooling effect to be honest.
And the Vapcap, ohh the Vapcap...!!! The Vapcap gives a completely different vapor through a lung! Similarly to the Solo, the vapor is smoother to the throat and lungs, fresher, more convectiony, richer, the clouds are obviously bigger and more satisfying when exhaled. The aromas are more intense, and they last throughout the bowl to the finish! No popcorn taste for me through a lung. It's even better tasting than full convection vapor and I am not exaggerating.

So yeah, the vapor profile as well...:drool::drool::p:D

I think bacteria is developed and vapor becomes harsher... Vapor is always better through a clean surface ime. :2c:

I’m not very worried about it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used my Vapor Lung and I can’t tell there’s been any vapor in that bag at all yet. If resin does ever become a problem, I’ll either just throw the Gravity Bong away or rinse it out with my super-duper Purple Power (which I’ve never used yet....). :D

My third vapcap convert!
I think I may have lost a convert. I gave an M to a friend just about a year ago. At the time she had been a joint smoker and was very pleased with the Vapcap. Throughout the year whenever we got together we used our Vapcaps to vape.

Then last week she came over and told me of a recent visit she made to a dispensary and described the myriad of choices. I asked her what she bought and she said, ' oh, nothing. Just a small glass pipe. I wanted something that I could get a quick hit off of.' WTF?

Seriously. WTF??? Why do people go back to combustion? Especially when you have a Vapcap at your disposal? I really don't understand. I know I can't possibly combust anymore. It would just be too irritating to my lungs. I mean, I can get a quick hit probably just as fast as toking on a pipe, or very near to it.

Is it the combustion element that some people find hard to shake?

I rarely, but occasionally, combust when I'm in the mood.
It's a different type of experience that I rarely, but occasionally want.

The 2 people I thought I had converted, or at least showed promise were just being lazy when they went back. They were not motivated and it is just easier for them to smoke than to bother with vaping. Or at least it seems that way to me. One of them hassles me that I won't smoke with him when we see each other. He just doesn't get it.

I once took a hit just to shut him up and it was awful, and that won't be happening again. He still has his VC but I don't think he ever uses it anymore. I always have mine with me these days and when I stop by his place I make sure I have a second, but he is never game anymore.

His loss, of course, but I liked the idea of getting him away from smoking.

My one small success turned into a monster. He picked up the 420 vong I ordered for him last week and has been txting me at odd hours everyday. I get one txt every night after I’m sleeping about how great his vong is and 1 txt about ordering him a phattpiggie long stem :uhh:
