Yup..what OF said.... how not to get stuff on/in the oven bottom which will cause a more harsh taste.

Keep the vape upside down and take the first draw.....load should stick together in place and you can use upright again.

Of course when using a water unit.... this is not an issue at all.

I just load a stem, set temp to whatever I’m feeling (daytime is lower temp for a more functional high, evening I crank it up for a heavy stone) and have the session timer set to 5 minutes. I take however many hits I’m in the mood for, no special way, and just inhale normally. On my last hit, I turn the unit off and take a nice long cooling hit until there is no visible vapor. Then I pop the top up and pocket the unit, or put it on the shelf if I’m staying home. The herb stays put without issue for me. If there is a crumb or two that falls onto the heater, I just shake it lightly while inverted without the stem installed. If it doesn’t come out, I wait for the unit to cool and use a Q-tip to gently swab the area and dislodge it. I don’t take any special care of the unit otherwise. I don’t wanna get too OCD with it, if I do, I won’t enjoy it because I’ll be worried about every little thing. Life is short, ArGo On!

As far as splitting sessions goes, I leave a loaded stem in the unit. If I stop seeing vapor, I turn the temp up. I don’t think too hard on it. Vape, repeat, reload. I generallly vape between 380 and 400, maybe higher if I’m finishing a bowl off, but that’s about it. I’m coming from using a Sticky Brick Jr, and OmniVap, so I’m kind of a short session, on/off kinda guy. The ArGo is a great transition back to a battery powered portable.

:quick update to my “error 2” issue. It was the cable. I had a spare cable from my phone which worked perfectly. I emailed Arizer last night, and woke up to a message from their CS. They asked for my addresss, to send me a new cable with free shipping. In the time it took to post this here in this thread I already got a shipping notification from Arizer. That’s faster than I could have gotten a burger from McDonalds lol. Stellar service if you ask me!

This is sort of the reason I wanted/needed the Argo.

I will use it like this when I am outdoors and when I go fishing.

then add.....

then use like this for some more stealthy use so from a further distance no one would tell any different...

I store it like this...

:) Thanks all for your replies @OF @LabPong @IntoTheVoid !
i will try to slip my session with two different method : leaving the stem in and pulling the stem.
With the Argo I vape between 180° C -220°.
If pulling the stem is a hassle, just turn the power off on your final inhale and the device will cool as you inhale. It’s pretty easy and worry free this way. I’d pull the stem but I’m more worried about dropping it and it breaking. ArGo is good at even cooking and conserving material. Better than other battery powered vapes I’ve owned.

Yesterday I pocket carried it all day to see how it would hold up, and it was great.

The other night I just wanted a micro dose. I wanted to finish it quick so I set the temp at 420 and started to inhale about at 320. I did it upside down for most of the hits and by the time it reached 420 in about 3 minutes it was well spent. I am experimenting with this way of vaping which is simple. No temp increases or decreases when done.

Hey guys, I'm currently debating on getting the Fury 2 or the ArGo, anyone has both so he can recommend me the best one? I want something portable, stealthy and durable.

Arizer products have been very durable. This one seems a bit more fragile, more portable.
Argo is good at stealthy but not grasshopper stealthy. Very portable especially with the case that nicely transports the glass.
It is Arizer and their history that most leans me their way.

My Argo has proved durable and efficient compared to other battery powered session vapes. Not as efficient as my wax pen or my Sticky Brick Jr, but for a session vape it’s great. It does conduct heat between hits but I seem to be able to get 3-4, 5 minute sessions on one full load. I mainly use it around the house but I’ve taken it out and about a bit too. Also, smell hasn’t been an issue.

I have used both and can give you some idea of what to expect. But it also depends on what you have experienced and what you might want or need out of a vape.

First and foremost...one can seperate these two vapes instantly by large margins....of the cost! But do not sum them up by that alone, though it is important if your on a budget and also because most feel the price of the argo is a little to high on average...especially if you compare the argo to the air and solo. But it is what it is and that is the price you pay for a very small arizer.

Now taking the $ out of the equation and going by other variables.......

The amount of draws per charge are heavily in the favor of the argo. Fury has a much more shortened use time per charge because it has smaller built in battery. But it is more of an issue that comes up that you will soon be in the position of not having enough battery to finish or start a load with the Fury and you will have to wait.....wait....wait.....unless you have another vape ready to use. This is a huge deal if you need to medicate several times per day. If you only need a few sessions per day....this should not be a big problem then.

As far as build quality goes...both are great. I will just say that some of the comments you will read about the argo feeling cheap...is only because the little pop up plastic top piece. I do not use it...and leave it pushed down. I also do not use the argo to hit directly off of....always through water with me....so keep this in mind of my opinions. Hopefully arizer will just ditch the pop up piece all together.

With the Fury I found an issue with the size of the glass mouth pieces I would use....the wpa or the bent glass mouth piece on the Fury. Basically the glass pieces you load the flower into is much smaller diameter on the Fury than the Argo. Argo can allow a bigger load but also easier to fill and clean out in my opinion. If you use the stock plastic mouthpiece on the Fury...then you are using the vape much differently. You will not load the flower directly into the oven on the Fury....but if you use the other mouth pieces...you load the flower into the glass piece that then inserts into the oven after it is heated up. So that is a big difference in use case...and may or may not be an issue for someone selecting the Fury.

I really like the Arizer products and have several....always high taste and easy to clean and use. I only have airs and an argo...all with replaceable batteries.....huge plus if you use back to back or often.

As far as vapor quality goes.....Fury will give thicker vapor and faster as it heats up super quick....like 15 or so seconds.....Argo...about 40-30 seconds. Tastes goes to the Argo and any Arizer as far as that goes comparing to a Fury.

Those are basically the big differences of use and what to expect. Hope this helps those that are on the fence or are wondering about them.

I agree about the pop top. I do use mine but I feel the mouthpiece is in far enough that for general use and carry you don’t need to pop it up. Maybe in a messenger bag or pack just to keep it safe from chipping. But otherwise it’s kinda not needed.

Me, too....

If I'm not going to use it for a while I usually cap the stem to keep the smell in and insects and such out.

If it comes to more serious protection, these standard 1 by 2 inch tube caps do a much better job I think. A 'worst case' (stem first) fall onto the deck even if the cover is up is just going to collapse the cover down and use it as a guide to be sure all the forces are concentrated straight down the stem and into the oven....... Almost guaranteeing a broken (or rather shattered) stem.
2NaxN8V.jpg

The caps work well, and are also handy for capping loaded stems to carry:
dypyHdD.jpg

For use capping the stem installed in the unit I cut them back a bit, so they have maybe 1/8 inch 'left' when pushed down on the stem (that is the stem lips don't go quite all the way to the bottom of the cap). That way you can pinch the tip with a thumbnail (between the bottom of the cap and the top of the lips) and pluck the cap off very handily. Those caps are metric, 12mm. 3/8 is too tight, 1/2 too loose. Like the square ones, they are common items on EBay.

Regards to all.

Hello fellow ARGo owners. Anyone looking for a super cheap($1) hard case check out these Top Care soap containers. I have some spare foam from a Pelican case I've been thinking about adding as padding but I've been carrying it around this way for a couple months and it's been great. Helps a lot with the smell too.

Also I've found that mouthpieces from other vapes fit in the ARGo's stem. The one on the left if from an old old Dr. Dabber pen and the one on the right is from an Atmos Transporter. Don't really use them very often as I prefer the straight glass but Transporter fits into 10mm female joints and the flat mouthpiece is comfortable so I just keep them around.

That pop top has saved my stems on more the one occasion. Plus that click it makes when you put it up reminds me of the phones they used in the Matrix. Haha. Personally I love the pop top, mine started to not "pop" as much for some reason, but now it's back to what it was like when it was new.

Why turning it upside down? Doesn't that move it farther from the heater?

Not the stem, the whole Argo is upside down.

I get that... I'm still having a hard time understanding why that would help though. The bud is technically being moved away from the heater when you do that. However the person I quoted mentioned using it to micro-dose in 3mins. So it seems there's something I'm missing as to why hitting it with the ARGo upside down is any better.

Since he sets it at 'full blast' I suspect he's try to slow ('stretch out') the heating so he can 'grab a few hits at lower temperatures' before it heats fully? That is trying to stretch the normal one minute or so to solid vapor out enough to get a few lower temp hits, rather than stepping up the heat?

Inversion won't stop it, the (hot) metal cup runs to the top of the stem chamber, but IMO interesting technique for guys in a hurry? The first few hits, if they're heavy ones as I suspect, also slows the race to the top some as well?

The first part makes a lot of sense. However even though the metal chamber does goes up higher like you said, the heater is still at the bottom of the chamber. I devised a micro-dosing stem where I reduced the bowl size by about 2/3's while also moving the material closer to the heater. This results in never more then a 5 min session without having to use it at full temp or even go above 390 and without having to turn upside down, which works on the seemingly opposite principle. That's why I'm confused on the inversion part.

Your call. But inversion is not a factor with Solo or Air (lots of guys use them inverted over WTs).

Some guys take a hit or two inverted so herb doesn't contact the metal bottom, then turn it upright. It's known as 'hamster style'.

Some even use Solo/Air horizontally, generally on their backs in bed.

It doesn't matter, or at least should not? Heat comes from the cup walls.

Yeah I guess I was just thinking that it some how increase the vapor production in some way. I've tried various ways of having the material not contact the metal and maybe my palette isn't sensitive enough or something but I've never really noticed a difference in either the ARGo or the Air. I would put a glass honeycomb screen on the top of the Air bowl and still do when I add keif. I've done similar things with the ARGo as well, including the "hamster method", but have not really noticed a difference. In fact the only difference I noticed is when I moved the material closer to the end of the ARGo stem, closer to the where the ceramic heater is in the chamber. .

It’s different for me I guess. I find I can get a solid session regardless of if I fill the stem all the way, and take a few sessions to kill it, or fill it 1/4 the way to microdose off it and finish in one session. The 1/4 pack method takes a few extra slow hits to bring the temp into the bud, but otherwise it’s the same as a full chamber for me. I do t use any domed screens or anything to take up chamber space either.
