Ok. I'll concede that I don't truly know if you're interested in discussion or if you believe somehow you're capable of making political statements without anyone feeling the need to respond to you.

If you can't see how and why someone may be moved to discuss your conclusions I don't have much else to say here.

Was that your purpose behind this thread?
To make people aware of how they are being manipulated by the media.

That graph shows Breitbart as much farther to the Right than HuffPo is to the Left. But I don't care about their biases. I do care about how "liberal" they are with the facts. And Breitbart objectively has HuffPo beat there.

Now there is a Left Wing Equivalent to Breitbart, namely "OccupyDemocrats". The difference is... virtually no one reads it or takes it seriously, while Breitbart is extremely popular. And its Editor was given a high ranking Admin position.

Once again you have stated your opinion as a fact. Beyond that, I am not going to get into equivocating the spin of one side versus the spin of the other side, there are too many bad examples on both sides on too many issues to excuse either.

None of those entries discuss Breitbart. Maybe AllSides is too embarrassed to include a site that runs headlines like:
'The solution to online 'harassment' is simple: Women should log off'

'Birth control makes women unattractive and crazy'

And it's not like only "leftists" believe Brietbart is beyond the pale. From "The American Conservative":

There is a difference between stating something as a fact and stating it as an opinion and its not established via revisionism in my opinion.

You're right Howie. I should follow every sentence with "in my opinion" from now on. Ridiculous.

They don't claim ANY newsiness at all. On their home page, "The Babylon Bee is Your Trusted Source For Christian News Satire."

It's The Onion from a different perspective.

That you thought it an "Alt right loony tune website" just shows how far the news media have fallen.

(As to the multiple CNN stories that you feel very fair because they showed more than the 10 sec clip, WHY were they on the news at all? It is a newsworthy event to have a teen smile at a guy banging a drum? Only if you get to the narrative they wanted to tell do you find anything newsworthy about the focus of the coverage.)

You posted a story from this website which was attacking a real news story in the Fake News Thread . . . I guess I read your heading of "completely circular: is it fake if it's on purpose?" as applying to the story the linked article is about and attacking and not the linked article itself. . .

i see what you were getting at but when you venture out and read comments on websites like AOL or Huffpost the trump loving lemmings posting there seem to actually believe all the stories in these type of websites. You see where they quote crap like this or judicial watch and info-wars as gospel.

Judicial Watch is a serious place that posts facts they find out through Freedom of Information act demands and litigation. (Along with state open-government laws.) There is no comparison to Infowars. Sometimes spokesholes from JW go on TV "news" and opine on matters and that expression of feelings is more entertainment than news. However, that does not place the organization in the category of fake news and Infowars.

"Fake News" does not depend on if one agrees with the conclusion, but on how the conclusion is drawn. Other than a link to a spokeshole on a show, are there any stories on the current site you find fake?
