I was lucky enough to score a free gram of GSC shatter so i tried it in my volcano as i dont have a dab rig. I had previously tried some other shatter i had in there with ok results.

I temped up to 446 and put the liquid pad in the chamber. I placed 2 balls of wax (nothing big) near the middle of the pad. I got about 4 or 5 thick bags of vapor and probably can still get some more. But i was high enough so I called it a night lol

Either the code doesn't work or it doesn't apply to the volcano. Tried to place the order last night. I emailed them but haven't gotten a response yet. They also offered a 20 dollar off coupon that also didn't work. I will have to see what they respond with.

It may not apply for S&B — all good. Here is a code for 15% supplied from Vape Critic.

VAPENOW15

This is/was the actual code I used like a year ago *thumbs up*

Edit: this code gives you Free Overnight Shipping + Carrying Case

I have one and don’t use it as much as I should. It really does do wonders for your vapor tho especially if you are a cougher. It really shines at the higher temps.

I picked up the traditional red one, but the glass one cools down the vapor more still. These things DO WORK!!

Great, so i think i finally buy it, now i'm using a normal bong and is just fantastic but unconfortable

I also have a separate SS Vocano Pad....
When I clean my concentrate tools, I pour the iso into a shot glass.....
I then immerse the extra pad into the Iso/residue solution.
I go in room and rotate the pad for a couple of days until all liquid has evaporated, and all that remains is a golden colored pad... which I leave to completely dry for a few more days to eliminate the Iso remnants.
That pad will fill up many bags with thick concentrate vapor.

Man, you’re a BEAST. I really like this.

You also get MUCH different results when you blow the Vapor through water as it is forming than once it has been formed. These things are on a whole other level, Nic. You’ll see what I mean soon enough.

This review has some good information on it that helped me prior to use. (Mostly how to setup the O-rings)

Is the obsidian worth the price difference? I wish they werent sold out of the clear magma

I messed up this morning and i think it was a sign.

So i just got this “Los Angeles Kush” prerolled in (im on the eastcoast in a med state so i dont often get legit meds) and smoked a bit of it last night. This AM i went to wake and bake, dropped it, and it broke at the filter.

I broke the rest of it open to save the remaining herb. I ended up vaping a chamber. Now the bag i used tastes like a giant ashtray.

Fuck combustion

That’s rough man, maybe the taste will dissipate after running some more bags through it.

If not, time to make a new one.

As far as the difference — it’s hardly noticeable. The idea here is that you are raising the humidity in your vapor, the means by which this is done is not a variable worth factoring in. I own the Magma and will probably end up buying an Obsidian over time (maybe not even) only because I prefer Glass over anything else (in most cases).

I probably would have picked it up already but haven’t since my Magma even doesn’t get much use. I found myself refilling to match the water line pretty often (maybe every 4 bags) and my only concern was where exactly this water was ending up?

Thanks you for the link, i wonder why this magma/obsidian is not well known, i think that it's a fantastic idea

I know it sounds counterintuitive, but water vapor in your lungs is a good thing, not a bad thing. That’s why they advise you to put a humidifier in your bedroom when you have a respiratory illness - the lungs prefer air that is cool and moist. Hot and dry are the harshest conditions for the lungs, hence all the accessories for cooling and moistening the vapor coming out of any vaporizer. So pick up that Magma again and get to it!

When do you guys consider your chamber spent?

I havent gotten a bag without plenty of vapor yet, aside from when im at low temps and i get the tasty but wispy vapor. Ive been temp stepping. Do you guys ever actually get bags with no visible vapor at temps of +380 F?

I have been running this little bit of shatter for a couple days now and still getting full thick bags of vapor. Only the liquid pad is in tbe chamber. The wax of course has melted into the pad so i can no longer see anything. Im like 8 bags in on the same small bit of wax.

What i guess im asking is...is it possible for there to be “empty” vapor?

The arizer air/solo bubble straws/stem mps fit into the EZ valve baloons, the stem opening seems to seal good enough by holding it on the chamber outlet or even direct onto the chamber reducer - but no time for testing now...

Hard to say how long it lasts, depends on amount and quality, it just gets thinner till nothing is vislble (or track it with a scale) - to finish it off i'd run it at max temp and sprinkle a bit of herb below the pad

I asked the same question long ago in this thread and that was suggested to me. My volcano has been sitting dead in the closet for a while, it needs the same part, takes over 5 minutes to fill a bag. I kinda just wanna give it to somebody but its so beat I think I'd feel bad. I might have the most beat volcano out there, it doesn't have a single screw in the outer faceplate as they have all backed themselves out from vibration lol. 2006 model!

Haven't taken a volcano pump apart (yet), but that sounds like the membrane/piston seal is leaking (i've used bicycle inner tube to repair other membrane pumps...)
In theory the 2 valves also could be prevented from sealing by dirt - but where should it come from?
Pressure and volume flow of the replacement pump should match the original specs, besides that any frankenstein could be made work

I've seen a volcano been used as a whip vape - with ripped out pump  so there is some life left... or maybe use it like a large showerhead :brow: it just needs a little handle

OK everybody, I have the opportunity to set up a virgin space for my volcano and accompanying meds and accessories. This is a space where I’ll be processing the material and medicating as well. What are your favorite must-have‘s and nice-to-haves to go along with your volcano to keep things nice, clean, and organized. Pretend there’s no budget - what should I get?

Preferably, I would love a set up where I could somehow very easily hide everything away so that it’s not obvious what’s going on in the room when you walk in. I have a long ikea computer desk to work with.

yes, and there is quite some 'reclaim dust' inside the shell on used units - but most that falls down the heater is blown up again. Don't think anything can get around the corner at the heater, through the connection to the valve inside the pump and the intake is filtered, so no worrys about dust affecting the pump life ;)
@arthritisbites - no limit eh?
how about mounting the cano on top of some Bang & Olufsen Beolab 5 speakers? (needs a 2. one for symmetry, and better not look up the speaker price...)

So I spent the better part of yesterday with my Magma and I gotta say — I missed it!! The quality that the vapor becomes is just phenomenal. Definitely see myself putting it back into the mix at least if anything a couple days out of the week.

I didn’t notice any extra hacks today nor changes in my voice patterns. (And it’s not like I ever did before, but still — gotta ask)

All the chambers I ran yesterday I ran until no more vapor came out. I used to bump up the temps to extract even more, but the 10 (plus or minus) bag quantity that I pull from said chamber at 187C is considered a successful extraction for my personal taste.

The leftover ABV I just eat. I really recommend this!!

It’s for VapeWorld.. and yes, I just checked if it worked and it does. (Took a screenshot but I still don’t know how to post pics lol) This is a direct link to VapeCritic’s review and where he presents the code. Scroll down a little bit — the code is at the end of the review.

You've done your homework... now it is time to pull the trigger on this bad boy.
I never met a vaporist that was disappointed with this decision!

Volcano Digital with solid valve ( just ordered the easy valve and reducer, they arrive on Thursday! So excited! )
In terms of accessories: small scale, 2 small mason jars with tools, komax biokips 11.5q boxes x 2, pax3, couple grinders, large hoss bong, bunch of little mason jars...I think that’s about it.

The EZ Valve truly is a game changer. And paired with the Reducer you have the most personal experience with the Volcano (IMO)

It sounds like you have an excellent start!! Maybe a storage container for ABV if you’re into cooking or that sort of thing? The really important things are: Storage, a grinder and a scale. Oh and maybe a notebook to keep track of strain information and dosing.

Delta3DStudios has a few goodies for cheap, I personally recommend this dude as he does all these creations himself. Truly out of love xP

Welp, just ordered a Magma. Opted for the 2 day shipping so im hoping itll be here for the long holiday weekend. When i start to go over 410 F or so i start coughing so im thinking this may help. Was really hoping to find one of the limited edition glass versions but was unsuccessful in my search.

I think my perfect temp for overall taste, thick vapor, etc is about 380 F. I temp up to finish a chamber. I really did not realize how many bags i can get from one chamber at 380.

Ive been saving my abv from the volcano and my vapcap in a large mason jar. I had over an O of abv from my pax3 last year but it was so dark i decided not to even try to use it. My current stuff looks like it will lead to a much better end product so looking forward to putting it to use in something eventually.

Also, im trying to create my vaping hub in my garage. Right now my volcano pitifully sits on a stack of boxes with car rims in them. Trying to figure out possibly some kind of desk setup.

I also just placed an order for the dust cover from @delta3dstudios @Ratchett. At the snd of my order i saw their contact number and it has the same area code as me. Theyre only about 30 minutes up the road from me! Always exciting to see things in my small state of Delaware. Just thought that was cool.

Just some random thoughts as I sit at work for another hour. Cant wait to get home and turn my heater on....

I’m glad you posted his FC name because I been meaning to find him on here. The dude is really talented!!

I read this a while ago and was what initially got me to save ABV and use it for other things (use the whole buffalo!)
