I’m deep cleaning mine..im kinda worried as I never got my deep cleaning tool with my pre order or my extras adventurer pack..I was supposed to get it with my accessories pack that was lost and just got here yesterday. I think I’m still missing two pods as well but they did throw in 2 coils. I thought I had gotten 1 deep clean tool originally but it was my extra 4 pod insert that can be preloaded.. I got 2of those with the deal. I know it’s not haze fault as I know they had a lot going on but it was very confusing with buying a add on pack with all the accessories that were offered and then to have your order split up into 2 shipments unfortunately that was the effect of all the chaos. But I’m gonna give the reassemble a go..I never contacted haze cuz I’m tired of bothering them. I will just buy the accessories when I get some funds..I got Enuff stuff to keep me going now. I just hope no more combustion. I only put maybe 7 bowls and the insides of the screens were gunned up..I did put a dab on a bowl twice. So that could be why but air flow was restricted when I combusted. I’m ready to taste this baby in use again. Got some sour diesel I wanna run through it.

It is never a bother. @hitmeman also got his package stuck somewhere in transit after leaving GA and possibly lost by USPS at this point. We shipped him another package and we will deal with the claim. We shipped out so many packages out so it is nightmare dealing with USPS.

Please PM me exactly what you are missing and what you got already. I will take care of it.

It's taken me a bit, but I've got the method down on my Square now.

I fill the bowls to just below the rim, loose, no tamping, medium grind. I set the haze to the temp I want (usually start at 380F). I press the button, hold till it buzzes, then slowly draw. This gives me my first 'flavor' hit -- not a lot of visible vapor but great taste and effect.

Continuing, I press the button again, wait for it to buzz, start drawing for about 2 seconds, and then quickly release and repress the button. I hold the button for a second or two and then release again as I keep drawing. How long I hold the button after the second press determines how huge a cloud I get (it's easy to overdo this and choke, so I go easy). On some herb, the second press is too much, one is enough.

Very powerful effects this way. I rarely raise the temp past 380 anymore. I get 5-10 hits, it varies a bit. I can't usually get through a whole bowl without stopping (and I'm not exactly a lightweight).

Using this method it's possible to completely extract, resulting in nicely browned abv.

When I first got the Square I was very disappointed with it, but I've completely changed my mind.

I thought it felt too heavy, but now it seems about right. I thought the button was hard to press, but I figured out a way to hold it with my thumb on the button and it works easily that way. I was getting no vapor, but now I have to be careful not to get too much.

So there's a learning curve to this thing, but it's capable of delivering.

Count me as a happy camper.

PS you really have to keep it clean for good performance.

I did some more testing last night after my great success using the same dbl tap method @django7 just described above but ridding the button about 6 seconds on the second go, same temp and everything. Round 2 things went horribly wrong, combustion after combustion it was like playing Russian roulette with my tastiest of herb. I must note the combustion spots where always in the exact same place. I quickly abandoned the method and started using it the way Haze Instructs. I was getting "ok" results this way, every now and then a nice thick flavourful draw but mostly it seemed inconsistent. My AVB never roasted evenly, mostly a light sandy coloured AVB with bits of green and darker AVB all over the mix.

Here's a pic, it's wildly different then my first 2 bowls

I started breaking the Square down this morning for it's second deep cleaning and I think I found the issue. My coils sits about 2-3mm higher one side then the other, this would explain the combustion spots and the recent uneven extraction. I'm wondering if when I was pushing the Square with the dbl button presses it stressed the coil and caused it to warp like a hot pan in an oven? IS that a thing?

Here's a pic:
jaZMxkd.jpg

This photo was taken after many attempts of manipulating the coil into sitting evenly. It's better but not by much. You can also see a bunch off small scuff marks on the left side of the coil housing from my bowls scraping overtop.

I guess I will have to contact Haze , maybe a new coil can fix both issues and I won't have to send this magical creature back into the evil postal system. This is some of the most enjoyable vapour I've experienced, with those 385 dbl button powerhouse hits this will be the perfect portable companion for my Flower Pot. Can't wait to get everything running smoothly

Coil is not hard soldered for easy removal/replacement by users. You can simply take it out and push it back into its place if you accidentally altered its position. Uneven coil may easily cause hot spots in your bowl.

The other very common reason is blocked pod holes or blocked air path filters.

That ABV you showed is 2 bowls not one right?

And the coil, did you try taking it out and aligning it yourself?

Haze - did you notice this is the same thing I Sent mine in for , cause heater was scraping pods so it was not due to the pods I accidentally poked with a pin. The pic above from easywider shows the rub marks on the heating element. I will let you know if lowering element fixes mine. Gotta love first runs

Fixed ! Thanks Haze

About 6 bowls , been getting my most even results with Medium grind loose about 80% full bowl. Enough that it wont shift if tipped on its side.

Yes the scrape is real:
vfJPZbJ.jpg
they thought I caused it by deforming the pods by cleaning holes with a pin- that actually pushed all the way thru and in turn caused bowls to push out but I assured them I had two brand new never touched by a pin pods with scrapes thanks for validating my beliefs easywider . They told me they lowered it and then I told them about the two pods I have here and supposedly they lowered it some more, will get back Saturday and will test w/ new pods I purchased to replace ones with pin marks. My thought process has been that this may be causing hot spots ,combust, or uneven spots (not to mention blowing thru product) let alone issues with too much air coming thru.

Yes but the reported issue was charring on certain spots on a unit that was working fine before. The scraping may happen on units where the seal was correct to begin with but the oven was slightly raised or on units we applied the seal fix where the oven was slightly higher than where it needs to be. This is not a cause for spot charring. It causes cosmetic issue under the pods. The Phase 2 units addressed all these but if anyone has a unit where you need us to take a look for this, please pm me and we will do.

The spot charring may happen due to the coil placement, as well as the blocked pods and/or blocked air filters.

@Easywider I had same issue. I removed and reseated coil so it sits in bottom perfectly. I thought this solved my issue of combustion but I had another event.

My ABV looks just like yours. A mix of green brown and black.

@Haze Vaporizers I'm now kind of at a loss of what to try. I just can't believe my char is due to user error. I have had combustion under every single temperature and draw style

HAZE -I understand his issue was different I m just saying his comments about his heating element having black marks on them as well the shot of the four pods with scrapes is actually how mine looked at the beginning. His pods were scraping the left side of element just like mine. Are the pods ok to use with light scrapes on them or rub marks or do they need to be preplaced with new ones ? MIne I sent it were down to the metal. let me know thanks

hey guys I wanted to share this from vapelife - Haze said ….."as Haze, we never focus on visible vapor. We focus more on extraction. For our users who prefer visible vapor, the best way to get it is to get the device setup with higher temperatures. I would recommend you set your temps higher and try it that way." I hope this helps.

Whoa yeah! Back in the saddle

This was my nicest bowl yet. Apparently a flush coil is very important for even extraction.
I went in and lowered all my temps for some dbl button fun time.

I pressed the button waited for green, inhaled 2 seconds then pressed button again and continued inhaling about 4-6 seconds after it went green for the second time.

1st Hit @ 365 Great tasting moderate vapour production
2nd Hit @ 385 Huge tasty cloud
3rd Hit @ 385 Wispy not so tasty cloud
4th Hit @ 395 Huge Cloud flavour gone
5th Hit @ 395 Wispy cloud

The ABV is perfectly even accept the very top is just a tad lighter in colour.
Picture Of the before and after:

OwaOy8Z.jpg

So all in all this bowl was crushed in 5 hits, no draw was longer then 10 seconds. Super fast extraction and this is exactly what I wanted out of the square. I think Im going to start bumping my temp up between each draw on the next bowl to eliminate the wispy hits and save some battery.

Damn those bowls pack a lot. I’ll be a micro dose accessory for sure. Anyone try to micro dose in the current pods?

You're right I think. Even a semi-firm pack that takes up half the oven seems to take a while to get through. I like the bowl dimensions for hand packing, though.

I lost count already but might be on 12 draws on #1, and the stuff is barely lightened to brown. Think I need to pulse it more. Just using 1st and 2nd temps. Still getting the full effect, however!

You're not the only one buddy , I've only used the first two lowest temps as the rest are just not needed! That's with full packed bowls and I've had the unit for months now!

Deff agree about ABV being mixed colored/vaporized... My combustion @ 350, i never thought to check coil...

Talk to the Beard
For me, the inconsistent ABV went away once I started loading smaller bowls - I've been doing roughly half full bowls. I start at 385, get between 6-8 hits, to to 390 for a couple more. I usually draw until the second vibration, holding the button the entire time. I've tried to dbl-press, but I think it just over-heats, imho

My ABV looks completely cooked. About half way thru I also turn the unit upside down (button down) and tap it a few times with my finger to shake off some of the load off the SS plate. (Half full also means the bowl contents are never pressed up against the bottom where the heat comes thru, so no chance of cumbustion)

I'd also highly recommend the cleaning tray - not sure I could put it back together without it. With it, I completely cleaned the unit in under 5 mins (I spend twice that time cleaning the Dual). The reclaim on the plates is a golden color - I am guessing it's very potent (I'll dissolve it in coconut oil and make chocolates)

Can't wait to see what they do with a micro-dose bowl, but in the short term, half fills not only seem to work better, but now the bowls don't seem so big.

Just made an account so I could give everyone my personal experience with this product. I’ve owned only two vaporizers. An apx (only for $60) and the pax 2 ($150 current price).

But this vaporizer.... I fucking love it. I have the Pro version. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I had it. Now I only use my pax while I’m cleaning the haze square. Another perk of cleaning is that the device can be divided in two parts. Which means you can charge your device and clean your device.

With the Charging it can possibly be 30 minutes charge time. If you use the specific wall charger you get with the device. I haven’t used usb yet, haven’t needed to. I have finished all 4 bowls while still having more battery left to do some more pre packed bowls (I purchased them, worth it but should of gotten two more concentrate pads as well).

My personal technique (spongebob reference)
TECHNIQUE!!
Grind your bud and make sure your bud is dry. If it’s not dry leave it out maybe by a window (make sure it’s not windy).

My device came with a loading tool which also helps resembles the haze square after a deep cleaning. I can resemble the product without the tool but it’s way easier with the tool.

I fill the bowls almost full. I pack it tight and compact.

Place the concentrate pad on top of your bud and give it a light push down to even the surface of the bowl, or use your fingers.

Now when taking hits I usually hold the haze square in my right hand. This way when you take a hit your hand is over the oven. Press gently on the two half’s of the device together when device heats up. This helps with Vapor Production I believe cause I get better tokes.

I sometimes like to go through all 4 bowls and just get really baked.

Flower
To ensure I get through all 4 bowls I make sure I start at low temps for each bowl and then make my way up until temp 3 doesn’t have much vapor left but is still hitting good. I now switch over to the next bowl and repeat. After you did a full cycle (good luck) you will end up at the same bowl you started at.

Now you can either repack new bowls

Or if your like me and want to get as much vapor out of your buds then use temp 4 and go through the rest of the bowls on that temp setting. You might have enough power for a couple of more bowls.

Concentrates
Packing was simple, my issue was I am new to vaporizing concentrates. Cause of that I wasn’t sure if I put too little or too much. If it was too little I wouldn’t get much vapor. If I packed it a lot I would get so much vapor but the downside is the device gets messy cause of the over packing. If anyone is more experienced with concentrates do give me some tips I would appreciate it. But my experience with the concentrates on the device was awesome! And concentates are better for when you have family over.

Cons
When reaching out to this company via email it was difficult to receive a response. When I didn’t receive a response it made me kinda worried. I did spend $200+ (extra products included) on this device. However I found this thread and most of the necessary information I needed to know was from all of you guys here. I honestly appreciate it cause I was tempted to cancel my product.

When I received my product it wasn’t in the best condition. In between my temp buttons there were small dents. Nothing major but noticeable.

Pros
Everything about it (as long as you don’t get a faulty product which I’m glad I didn’t).

Finally
Thank you haze technologies. You made my dream vaporizer and I know your gonna find ways to make it even better. It even has the cool mouth piece which goes in the device. Always wanted that in a vaporizer. Keeps everything low key

:clap:YES! We have it guys! I got my baby back today … reminder they lowered my heating element due to fact it was rubbing on all four pods! Looked fantastic ! The element was way lower and the seal looked good all the way around. They even cleaned off the black rub marks off the element:tup:! So after talking with HAZE I was told to try it by just hold down the button till its green and buzzes then let go of the button and don't draw till then. Wow I see why HAZE says they are about extraction at the lower temps the flavor was AMAZING!!!!It sits in your mouth like a mouthwash. I did not see as much vapor the first two or three draws but as it got heat soaked I saw more visible vapor. As I ramped up the temps to the higher settings way more visible vapor. But the most amazing part of all of it was I could now hear the suction coming off the heating element to the pods. This is what it needed, glad they listened to me that there was an issue and lowered it - its made all the difference in the world. In terms of potentcy I had to set it down several times due to the effects afterwards...., I hope this helps anyone who has had similar issues. I will try to get some pics of abv(even all way around no worries) and element but my phone is acting up. Back to it !!:smug:

@haze- unfortunately although it fired up right off the bat; it took several minutes to recognize device the second time around seems to be after its not been in use or transit that it fires right up...but I'm happy either way !!!!!!!

So haze recommended to only draw once you let off the button? Heat it up. After it’s green let go and draw? You never draw as you hold button down?
