I still think I'm learning with the plenty too. I seem to have more success with the standard chamber + liquid pad over the reduced chamber and dosing capsule.

With the standard + liquid pad last night I got about half an hours use. Temp about 6 and 5 heat cycles.

With the reducer either with the pad or with a capsule I'm getting less than 10 pulls before the vapour is all gone. I think I need to experiment.

Not sure if pre heating the chamber helped me get that monster session. I think it could also be due to the amount of material used too. Dosing capsule vs full chamber giving more surface area.

Having said that I have only had my unit a week. Had the mighty about a month and one thing I noticed with that was the avb was very light. I then used a dc and half liquid pad and drew very slow. This made the avb much darker. I can't get this with the plenty though.

More research will keep checking in

Temp about 6 and 5 heat cycles.

After vapor stops, turn up to 7 (still under 400f) to get a bit more extraction and will brown up you ABV a bit more.

Another trick I read quite a few pages back is to mount the orange part of the filling chamber on the Plenty before installing the black mouthpiece holder on top. You will notice the orange part will screw down a bit further without any extra pressure (the orange handle will sit on the left hand side of the Caution Hot Surface triangle instead of the middle of it)

More research is always fun :)

I definitely think that pre heating the chamber helps either with or without the reducer. I may be over thinking but there is more mass to the reducer chamber which is going to take more time to heat up-plenty is still a hybrid.

I have just used the reducer, pre heated though 4 cycles (held handle in and did nothing, just let the plenty do it's thing) I had the orange and black piece on together.

When the heater clicked on for the 4th time I had a dosing cap. It was packed very loosely with the lid on, I guess as standard. I only had to do 1 priming hit and then it was flowing. I lost track of the good hits.

I also tried the reducer with liquid pad and a dosing capsule with a liquid pad. These felt a little better than previous attempts when not pre heating. I will have to get a scale to accurately measure loads.

Must be some variance in Plenty temps. 6.5 takes my Plenty to 400f....7 buries the needle at 420f.

Mine is a 6 month old AU version, it only goes to 202C by the S&B Quick Start Guide and my temp needle agrees. You are lucky to have one that gets warmer as it will help when using concentrates. I even tried running mine off a 12v Modified Sine Wave power inverter as they can make some AC appliances run hotter, the needle still refused to go over 200C.

Could be the temperature gauges are not accurate. I don't know (understand) enough of the technology to evaluate either.

I’m getting my Plenty today. I’ve been reading through the thread, and one thing I want to ask. It’s going to be for just my personal use. I’m going to get the reducer for the micro dosing. Until then. I know you can use the concentrate pad for a smaller dose.

What I’m wanting to know is, if I pack the chamber full, can I use it for multiple sessions? Can I take a few hits and come back later, or will it continue to cook my flower?

TIA

The Plenty is a session vape designed to be loaded and the whole chamber vaped. However you can load up a chamber, heat up the Plenty and then add the chamber and take a few hits, remove the chamber and continue to inhale air through the load until it is cool. Then you can do this again until you ha e finished the load. I would not recommend this though as the taste will get progressively worse after each heat up.

I found the best way to use my Plenty was to use a fine grind and just cover the lower screen and then add the oil pad on top. Add chamber to Plenty and heat up to 6, once it clicks go to town!
Nice long slow draws work best!

I just had my first session. I did as you said here, worked like a charm. I didn’t think the session would ever end Lol

From what I’ve read about the Plenty, I have to agree. Just from this first bowl I’ve gotten more effect than any of my portables ever gave me. This is my first desktop btw, why did I wait so long.

My experience was the exact opposite with same vapes.

I make a full load in the Plenty (1+grams) last for 3 or 4 sessions.
To not leave the herb hot and heating while waiting for the unit to cool, I use the method described by @lazylathe :
you can load up a chamber, heat up the Plenty and then add the chamber and take a few hits, remove the chamber and continue to inhale air through the load until it is cool.
I find that with the chamber removed and no Plenty attached to it, I can get 2-3 hits as the load in the chamber cools down... to sit at ready for the next session.

I have read that others have used PBW with good success, I use 99 Iso so I get free dabs for my cleaning efforts.

PBW works best with glass.
The coil responds very well to cleaning with 91% Iso.
I believe 99% Iso will work even better, and parts will dry faster also.

I insert my coil into a glass jar filled with 99.9 iso (the same as all my vape parts get), this jar sits in a pan of water I have brought to the boil and removed to a safe place. Then I rinse with hot water and dish soap. Everything comes out looking new except my silicone hopper mouthpiece and my s&b dosing capsules. Iso is reclaimed into oil which I give to my friends uncle who has cancer - not easy to get oil round here and expensive - $100 gram.
Hi does anybody encountered this greyish like residue from Iso? I poured some by accident on my desk and few cds and it left this whitish greyish residue, like when I cleaned grinder, the glass side of it was fully white from it. Is it unsafe for doing reclaims? I bought it as 99% iso

I have had my Plenty for 4 years. I always comeback to my Plenty during stopping a session with a full bowl. To me it always taste fresher than any conduction vape that I have. You will have no problem with it.

Iso does not react well to prolonged contact with various plastics/acrylics.
Anyone from the mid 60's will remember that if they decided to clean their rainbow colored acrylic bongs, they would crackle like a hot marble dropped in cold water.
I use Iso to wipe off acrylic or plastic surfaces, then wipe them off with a cloth moistened with water, then dry them (use cotton tand not paper towel to dry these parts... paper towel also scratches and dulls acrylates and plastics...... even eyeglasses).

I would like to add that I get good results by adding a pinch of fresh herb to avb in the chamber. The taste isn't really affected so much as long as I don't max out the temperature on the earlier sessions (where said avb is coming from) I even feel like the fresh material allows me to extract a little more goodness out of the avb - probably just in my head.

I also like to use the dosing capsule with a liquid pad that I managed to split in to 3 (I've only done this split successfully once, forgot the technique - tried again recently and failed miserably) I find the full liquid pads in the dosing capsules too tight to keep removing.

Iso does not like a lot of plastics, be careful not to get any on your hands then use a jet lighter(if you have one) straight after as the plast8c tank will fail almost immediately pissing propane everywhere.

Your Iso is the same strength that I use and I am not dead yet, just make sure you purge your mixture until you can smell honey not alcohol.

I would invest in a decent grinder too, I never liked the plastic one that came with the Plenty, too many orange particles found in with herb.(maybe I did not clean it before first use)

The chipping of the grinder is ther you were not trippin, It happened to me also, I use aluminum ones but this one got the side with the bolt design and plastic side, Im glad that I can use it for the reclaims, I throwed out some much iso with reclaim, I was only scraping the cu on my mighty to get some reclaim, I wanted to ask you about if you use double boiler or something, yet the iso was already on the stove boiling of the heat in a borosilicate piece, got a gas top stove, I was watching it from another room, suddenly, flames everywhere reaching to that stove extractor exhaust ... crazy!! crazy flames, I added little bit of water and now its boiling of :D/ I decided to flush it in the toilet it smelled really bad like some iso + plastic, actually now Im smelling of it or hopefully not :D need to get this right to avoid putting house on fire, those flames were crazy, there was no spark just spontanious ignition:bang::doh::brow::lol::D:science::freak::razz::hmm::worms:

Fuck....I would not use a stove to evaporate ISO, you found out the hard way. ISO boils at about 80°C, fumes are what will get you. I use my digital ultrasonic cleaner for the task set at about 40°C in a well ventilated room (just the heater, not the ultrasonic part). I have heard just pointing a fan at the ISO will speed up evaporation too, and would be safer to boot..

The good thing is that I did not freaked out, not even ruining that nice glob of reclaim that I should possibly get from it, didnt pissed me off. Im happy to learn and evolve from this experience :D The most important thing is that I did not blew up like some people who tried to make bho, saw some awful explosions vids :tinfoil: I would ask first next time :myday:, That sounds really good, I mean that heater of the ultrasonic cleaner method , how long do you leave it that way? and only 40c? what kind of glassware do you keep it in, when you put it in the ultrasonic device. Mine is couple liters big, nothing too much just about 2-3liters., how big is yours? do you think it will be enough?:hmm: The iso is always dark gold Im wondering if it can yield a nice glob for good sesh :brow::ko::D

I am also (usually) a single user and I use the same method with great results. Very satisfied and I haven't noticed any issues with taste. Even though I also have the reducer...I don't bother with it....just fine grind and load up the Plenty chamber for smooth, effortless, potent hits.
I find that with the chamber removed and no Plenty attached to it, I can get 2-3 hits as the load in the chamber cools down... to sit at ready for the next session.
Again....I use this same method.....and it works just fine. Actually works better than fine. Those "extra" couple of hits really helps the Plenty kick my ass.....which it does EVERY time.

I would also agree with the posters that suggested starting at about 5 - 5.5 on the temp gauge and move up gradually in subsequent sessions.

Enjoy your new Plenty.....it will definitely get the job done.

I've used mine both with the chamber reducer and without, pack her up full, heat it up to 6, take a few hits. Turn it off. yank the cooling coil/chamber off main unit and take a couple more hits as it cools. Then later in the day, I'll put it back on heat it up to 6 1/2, and do it all again. Taste does suffer a bit, but not vapor production or the effects. Absolutely love this power tool of a vape.
