If the vrod ends up being what I think it is, both my SH and WA are going in a box and I'll have more space at my vape station. I've been messing with nail options but so far I'm strugglng to find suitable upgrades for anything. The vrod sounds like it kills two heads in one for me.

Hearing the longer preheat times compared to the WA head, I am curious as well regarding @invertedisdead inquiry, and also curious what the dish temps compare at between WA and Vrod with the same Halo at the same temps.

I agree. How does this not eventually replace the WA or SH? What does the Showerhead provide that the Vrod cannot? Same goes for the Wrap Around?

I am just trying to think of any reason why myself or anyone else would want to buy the showerhead at this point now that the Vrod is or will be available.

I guess if your coils dont fit, then you will get a SH or WA. But you could also just get the newvape enail and coil.

As soon as I saw the V Rod compatibility on the D-Nail dish, I knew there were going to be some people unhappy about the timing...to be fair, no matter when a new product is released there will probably be people who have just bought it, but a lot of people did just buy FlowerPot setups...

If it makes you feel any better though, from what @newvape918 says this is not better than the ShowerHead for flower, or necessarily better than the Wrap-Around for concentrates, so if you primarily do one or the other you're not missing out on much but a new style.

Also, if you bought their controller and coil on or after 4/20, it sounds like it's compatible with the new battery if that interests you.

I've been hit with the same kind of thing before, and even with this I've had my FP for less than 6 months, so I do understand the frustration of just getting a product and having a new version released...if they weren't going to release it before the 4/20 sale (which probably helped them clear out some old stock), it would have been nice if they'd let us know the new model was on the horizon so people could either take the discount on current models or wait a while. We have known for quite a while that it was coming, but not exactly when.

Every version of the FP works great though, so for anyone "stuck" with a current model, just remember you have one of the best vaporizers in existence, and for people who heavily use one type of material (flower/concentrate) over the other there's no compelling reason to upgrade.

Some people don't vape concentrates but I agree I do not see a reason why I would have bought my showerhead if the vrod was out then but I am impatient and probably wouldn't have waited anyways. Could also be 100 more or so than the showerhead depending on dish choice and price of the vrod top

I been using the VRod & new Carb Cap for awhile now. It is very similar to the showerhead with exactly what’s shown that added benefit of better airflow and being able to use a larger dish . The new style head with the coil twist direction imo has been helping transfer the heat well to the dish allowing me to go a bit lower on my temps and also finding a good medium sweet spot I like at 640f for Twax Rips. I think you guys will like it allot, flavor has been on point with the dnail Sic halo and even the quartz dish. Another good option combining my favorite two vapes the wrap around and shower head . Wanted to come by with a quick pic and video for you guys :

This is at 640F using both Flower and a drop of Concentrate , try adjusting the quality of the video if you can, wasn’t prepared for that big hit lol :

The way I see it performing better is the sleek design, I never felt the flowerpot fit just right and seemed to unthread alittle sometimes and I don't love the idea of something that hot unthreading at all unless I do it by hand, the wrap around is threaded even less so that doesn't make me feel much better so eventually I'll go to the VROD for that reason

Really? I've never experienced anything remotely related to my Flowerpot unthreading. The titanium expands when heated so it gets even harder to unthread while its still warm. I've tried to disassemble it quickly after dropping it on the carpet and always have to let it cool down completely before being able to unscrew it.

Most of us can relate and have done the same thing and have learned that New Vape is always improving their gear without notification. I just had purchased the OG 16mm Flower Pot for a very short time when the Shower Head came out. I do not mind this rapid product improvement for the reason that everything I have from New Vape is by far the best performing and the best made gear I have. Sometimes it is hard to get used to how amazing New Vape is. I can be hard to keep up.

As far as the vrod goes I am wondering if there is any reason for a 'flower only' person to grab one if I already have the showerhead?

Thats along my line of thinking. I vape flower only and would figure it obsolete only when it stops serving its current purpose. WIth the shelf life of Ti i figure that will be a couple thousand lifetimes forward.

I have no plans or reason to move past my current rig. Its darn near perfect for my purpose.

Goddamn that sucks...could of saved over a 100$ had I known that they were going to stock it...
Now I'll need the Wraparound D-Nail at 40$+the d-nail SiC dish and while at it might as well put the D-Nail sapphire insert v2 lol for like 250$CAD+ LOL

That's weird, because just a day or two ago you were telling me about how much you deserved to skip ahead of me in the shipping queue and how urgently you needed a vaporizer for your medical conditions.

I don't!
Do you depend on Cannabis for medical purposes? Hell Yeah! As in, I'm not functional without it, and with it I'm at least able to stay afloat and live (more like fake but whatever works, right?).

I'm a bit bummed that this new head has come out right as I'm waiting for my (still unshipped) order, but my vape is on its last legs and I'm desperate for a replacement. I just wish they would ship it. @newvape918 can I get an update on when orders placed on the 8th will ship?

I can understand the frustration, but this new head has been something that we've been asking/waiting for for quite a while. Tomorrow is always the best day to buy something but you never have it unless you bought it yesterday. You will all be very happy with your FP vaporizers, and if you're not it's only because you want the vrod more! But, as far as I can tell, my experience with both the SH and WA each independently have been the absolute top of the vaporizer game.

I understand how everyone feels as when I bought my OG 16mm fp there was no handle bowls and literally the day my order ships the handle bowls comes out. Same with the wraparound head and showerhead both released within a month of me getting the fp. That meant a new coil as well since everything was going to 20mm coils.

I just bit the bullet and got them and was happy as hell I did. I look at as buying a race car. Even though it’s fast as hell there are always a possibility to make it faster and that always comes with a price. You have the base unit which is freaking awesome now you can just upgrade for not much money.

Looks like I’m going to have to order a NewVape coil and solder on an xlr connector to use the vrod head.

a few grams of rosin and a lil hand held 18mm bubbler and I think I will take an extended vacation =)
