I would like get the hit in as few hits as possible,
Can I change the tip on a "m 2018" ?
I find that the steel tip of the M allows for getting your extraction in as few hits as possible, as it allows you to draw for longer before the cool-down click. I find the only way to get good hits is with the carb fully closed. If I want the largest hit possible, I just hold the carb closed through the entire straight-to-lung hit and open it a second before I finish the pull a second or two after the cool-down click.
Basically, I find that the Ti tip loses heat too quick, and the steel tip allows for a longer pull before the vapor stops.
Don't get me wrong, I don't always want the largest hits possible...but when I do, It feels like it can often be easier with the steel tip.
I am still trying to figure out exactly how to load the Omni chamber from the stash.
I honestly prefer to load from my dynastash.
I grind to a medium to medium-fine consistency and fill my dynastash's storage compartment in the mornings by filling it about a third of the way, then lightly tamping with the end of my M or something else similarly sized and flat on the end like a pen, then fill it another third and do the same thing (not packing it in, just lightly tamping with the weight of the M), then I do the same one more time, packing just a tad stiffer at the top.
Then I load by setting the open end of my tip on the herb and applying light pressure down while twisting...think of it as I'm not really trying to smash it down to pack it any tighter, but to twist and cut with enough pressure as to cut into the pack without losing any of the denseness of the pack in the dynastash.
I usually have to do that at least three times, each time picking it up and pressing down while twisting on the other side of the top of the stack of herm in the dynastash as the last twist, till it feels packed properly (if I packed the dynastash too tight, I can only twist once and it'll be full, but it'll be too tight). Then I stick the tip of my pinky in the end and twist a couple times to make a dimple in the herb that keeps it off my cap, and begin heating.....
Honestly, in my opinion, most of getting it right for me is a lot easier if I get the dynastash itself packed just right. Not too lose, but not too tight. Get that right, and the rest is a lot easier.
