I'm really digging the Flower Pot "E-nail Battery Chasis" too.
With the battery pack it really makes the FP a portable power house.

I dab mostly but TBH, I prefer the FP WA as a base/heater than the flat coil and d-nail's base. The WA head is a behemoth of a heater. When I do hit flowers I really like the wide airpath from the SH but moving the coils sucks.

$ 5 Dollars is just a place holder , I wish... lol

It's coming get ready soon. Been in some testing for awhile now and I can say it is amazing. Best of both worlds incorporating the Shower Head with a head that can fit Dnail Sic halo and larger dishes with similar airflow to the Showerhead and a new way to heat everything as there is no more center post. It was designed so the NV coil locks in and makes great contact with the head and nut. Just a quick example but you can see how the coil fits into the shape in this pic as it was made and designed to fit the coil perfectly :

Hope it fits other coils as well. Have you tried it with any other coils?

Edit: Does the dnail carb cap will still work or do you need the vrod carb cap. I really love the dnail carb cap I hope it can still be used!

Yes I tried it with 2 I own and it will not work with other coils unless they are 4 wraps ( it will fit other coils but wont disperse heat evenly at all ) , 17mm height and in a clockwise direction like the NewVape coil. So the best and safest bet is to use the coil NV supplies as it was designed around it to fit perfectly. I now have mine off my Hex-Nail and I am using it with the NV controller until I have time to solder xlr dnail style connector so I can use it on my Hexnail but it has been working great. The way it was designed without the center post is so the coil wraps in and locks into place on the top head so it is making even and perfect contact with the head and dispersing heat all throughout , the coil nut is now built into the design so one is not needed as well.

Haha I was editing my post when you posted this. Can you still use the dnail carb cap?

I don't have the Dnail Carb cap but I am almost 90% sure it would work , the old style Sh carb cap NV has also works and the new style they are coming out with works perfect as well maybe even better than Dnails as it fits my Sic dish like a glove man .

LOl @psychonaut sorry man , was just trying to help. I'll try and get you guys a video when time prevails so the pictures don't temp you much.

so the Battery Powered VROD secret is out.

With the vrod we are planning on tightening up the clearance between the nut and bowl / heat post. We have been using a .01" clearance and plan on cutting this in half to .005". We will be implementing the necessary plug and ring QC inspection gauges to hold these tolerances. My question to the forum is this a good idea or bad idea???

I would expect the vrod parts to be available by the end of the week or beginning of next week. At this time we are calling the vrod a 3rd head not a replacement for the wraparound or showerhead.

As it turned out attempting to combine the 2 heads into one with the same performance of each was a bigger task than we imagined. The showerhead / flower function was the easy part. The current wraparound head transfers the heat to the dish quite well. With the Vrod head the heat must transfer across a thread. To compensate for the thread we added a 3axis ramp cut to mate up with the helical coil. After plenty of bench testing we are satisfied that the vrod offers 100% performance of the showerhead and 90% of the performance of the wraparound. The 10% difference can easily be compensated for by allowing an additional 60 - 90 sec of heat up time. The coil cover and coil nut have been incorporated into the head. The decision to lead with the larger 28mm dishes should be well received for dabbers. We have made a new carb cap for the 28mm dishes. I'm not sure if the dnail carb cap will work or not. We have signed on to be a d-nail re seller so we will have the 28mm dishes available on the NV site. We also have some cheaper 28mm sic dishes on order that are still 30 days out.

Thank you for the information! Can you tell me this 10% difference you speak of, wouldn't this be moot if the vrod head is always on?

Your correct @psychonaut if left on it doesn't matter. The only differences I've seen between the vrod and the wraparound is a little more heat up time required.

So is this Vrod used for concentrates only?

And the only difference from wrap around head is heat up time essentially?

Will the coil from my dhgate enail work?
it's stuck in there at the moment tho as I can't get the bottom nut off the showerhead lol
I'm not sure if the nut has warped slightly from getting stuck on the post

When will the new parts with tighter tolerances be introduced?

Think they said in before post end of this week start of next the vrod parts will be available

any clue on price? also?? think i will have to purchase newvape controller as well as I have a highfive enail/coil

Do you notice any differences in the added convective heat when dabbing off the VROD versus the Wraparound? That's one thing I learned from dabbing off the Showerhead, but I've never heard anyone mention it with the WA.

Just a dude
Heck yeah, that's just pretty! I can appreciate it even though I don't need it personally. I bet some of my favourite rosineers like @psychonaut & @invertedisdead would really be rocking the VRod and putting it to good use. I can't wait to hear what all of the concentrate connoisseurs think of the VRod once it's out in the wild. I think of all the amazing research and reports flying around in the weeks to come and it just gets me excited! @steama & @emmdeemo out-doing one another until someone passes out, stuff like that.

@Splingy it doesn't make the SH obsolete, that hasn't been the NewVape way thus far.

I really dig that it's a third head in the range and not a replacement product. IIRC, that was Edwyn's original concept with the Flowerpot system: to have many heads and bowls so that the customer can buy according to their needs and use-case and tailor their setup over time. I freakin love that @NewVape710 does it all in-house and in such a way that I can get the new thing or a legacy part if I want, without a bunch of planned obsolescence constantly forcing an upgrade. But you know that New Vape isn't going to sit still, there will always be innovative ideas and tweaks and they will execute them!
