Hi,I wanted to say that @funkyjunky took care of the issue of my card/paypal being declined and we arranged the payment via bank transfer. He was very kind to offer the 4/20 discount I couldn't get because of the problems. Now,patience and fingers crossed that we won't have problems with customs...:zombie:

Thanks FJ!
Glad you got sorted out ! Which model did you get ?

I've never heard of a vapor cooler before. Does it work well? Where did you get that one?

I'm waiting on my beech + blue to be built, I can't wait.

I got my evic back in early february, and it's been my daily driver since then. I can safely say that this is the best vape I've ever used, definitely killed the crafty for me. When it's on the cooler end, the flavour is unbeatable, and at the higher end it gets complete extraction. I've got a set up with a water pipe and the whip, and the vapor is incredible. One thing is that I haven't seen too many clouds with this thing, which doesn't bother me, since I'm mainly focused on vapor taste. Others have reported great clouds, I just don't think I've got the set ups right.

One thing I'd love to hear from @funkyjunky about is the recommended settings for the evic box. There's a lot of options in there to do with tons of different firing modes. I've played around with these some, but I don't really know what I'm doing. It'd be nice to hear from the maker what they think about these options.

All in all, definitely recommend, great for all purposes, though it's not the most radically portable vape. It'll fit easily in a coat pocket, though, and it's durable as hell.

Hmm, waiting is starting to get a little frustrating, especially when it seems people are getting theirs who ordered a week and a half after you :ugh::shrug::rip:
Hey ,dude i think the backorder is 6 weeks (42 days) The guy from above ordered 3/23 and got it 15/05 (53 days) with the shipping time included , from what i see you placed order at 4/13 which 33 days ago.
I dont know who are you referring to when saying that someone got his TUBO earlier than you but it seems like you got like 10 more days before you should start complaining that your unit hasnt shipped. We are all baked here and impatient but FJ is a man of his word and i doubt he would neglect anyone on purpose .

I'm actually so dumb, I was a month off on when I ordered. I thought I ordered 3/13 but it was actually 4/13. My bad :doh: it's just been so long and I guess I'm just too high:\
Apologies.

:D No worries ,mate. I am quite the hothead and always get frustrated with waiting ,you should see me in a traffic jam.
Being too high aint a bad thing, you should prepare your tolerance for the TUBO,it is a monster..

I sympathize with impatience completely, and yeah I'm getting high to prepare for the tubo.

First post.
FYI , I got my TUBOx (birch) on March 31, ordered on Jan 23. I was getting impatient there too, but trust you will not be forgotten.
I have a VTC Dual powering my TUBOx, and I was running into an issue where my heater was running cold and my Dual would overheat, but it seems the issue was residue on the pin. Once I cleaned it, not sure why I did, the unlocked resistance reading was significant lower (.257 from .297) and my adjusted locked resistance (.252) was scorching my herb. I dialed it down and you'll be happy to know it's performing like a champ now. Anyway I scored a clearance Wismic Reuleaux Gen3 for $25 and I'm hoping I can load up FJs custom firmware onto that. You guys think it will work?

Did anyone tried the tubo evic and the tubox? How do they compare to each other?
In basic they are identical as far as the heater part goes.
Tubo EVIC is much more ergonomic, and better looking. One hand operation is far more easy to use on the go and in general.Cons are that is it single battery and it supplies max power 70w,and there is some minor heat reflected from the chamber to the evic part, which might help the chip show too hot message if you are really doing long back to back sessions.
TUBOx is a beast when paired with 4 battery mod. It is really pleasant to use as a desktop with the 4 batteries i can get multiple load + it heats less because battery drain is distributed evenly across multiple cells. It is really heavy though the mod is over 300 grams and the tubox is like 80.
TUBOx is better in case your mod fries, because you can just attach it to a new one , the 510 connection is user service-able ,i fucked up mine and manage to change it with a 510 from another mod. If you plan on unscrewing it often it might fuckup the connection of your mod so suggest getting a 510 to 510 adapter or heatsink adapter.
In general i prefer TUBOx because i can use it with 4 battery mod ,not that it is much pain in the ass to switch batteries. I like it because it can do numerous back to back bowls and be a party vape. I vape only trough water.I i was going to use direct draw i would go with the TUBO evic anytime :).
In performance i must say that TUBOevic with Power Adapter is equal to the TUBOx with 4 battery mod.

Well i have the Wismec RX300,another great choice is the Cuboid200 which is 3 battery mod it is a bit taller but thinner that the RX300, the size of the flowermate. I prefer the rx300 because it is more stable on the table :),but you can get the other one for on the go,i snatched one Cuboid for 16$ some time ago and still waiting for it to come from China,my WISMECRX300 costed me 45-50$.

Well, I'm wondering, even if I can't get the TUBO myevic working I should be able to use the mod on demand, right? I see that the gen3 is supported in artic fox and the latest version of myevic, and at some point we need to start exploring other mods for future proofing or devices, right? Seems the gen3 would be the next logical mod to incorporate.

If you cannot get the myevic working ,than all the awesome software is useless. Well EVIC AND RX300 are not years old,and they are proven worthy. Why ditch all the work sofar on the software (which is a lot) and start a new just to get it working with the latest gadget which is in no way superior then the ones from the list, there is not yet much of a break trough in the affordable price ranged mods, IMO choice is wide enough with the current situation,as far as it goes to shape and function.

Well, I'm not presenting this out of left field.
The TUBOx is a nice piece of kit and if it would be easy to expand device support without abandoning or scratching the current software build
2 things to bear in mind:
1. The Gen3 is an update of the RX300. it is a 300w RX. I'm not sure how different the chipset is, but it will be recognized by NFE Essentials.
2. The myevic software should already be updated by the open source community for compatibility with the Gen3 as indicated at https://www.judgecloud.net/custom-firmware-multiple-vape-devices/

Look, you are right that it probably won't work. But, by FJ opening the mytuboevic software to the community (lamart, splinter thread), modifications that increase support can be iterated by the open source community. I don't think expansion of device support should be abandoned as a listless venture. I love the TUBOx and want it to having the longest legs possible.
