I find that sucking the flower up and in is too much. The pax loading scoop works perfect for the glass stems. I can just lightly get it full to what ever level and barely use the flat end of the tool to gently just square off the top of the load. Just so I get an even height layer of the flower and keep a little open gap till the end. I also stir the load at some point, maybe 1 or 2 times per load.

With some strains you may get more build up in the holes obviously....as well as moisture content being a possible issue as well. This is why I use a screen. I can clean it quickly with a pic afterwards and just blow out anything else. I usually then clean the screen and stem out after about 4-6 sessions. It keeps decent air flow this way for me.

Also I use the WPA's and not sure if they are aftermarket stock stems with a welded on WPA joint...or fully custom stems with possible difference in hole sizes from stock stems. I thought at one point one of the two WPA's I got (from PUI and S-Pete), had slightly better air flow and maybe better than the stock stems.

I would love to see a more open glass screen/hole area on these stems. But I did not find it an issue at all for direct drawing use. And I am used to arizers......and I find this fairly easy to draw on without tiring my wind bags out like other session vapes. I even put a small piece of organic cotton in the stem to see what the difference in taste/smoothness is. Then the draw resistance was an issue.....with only the smallest amount of cotton to stop any tiny bits.

So, much as I do with my Enano stems, then?

Just had a buddy tell me that the Solo and Air draw resistance is worse and so many people like them very much...I guess I'm just spoiled a bit (a real wimp am I LOL).

I own the original solo but selling to a friend.

Any reason to pick this over an air II aside from discreetness? Cost not being a factor.

I’m having the most difficult time picking between them.

That tear down post makes me worry it won’t last whereas my solo was bulletproof. Air II seems solid.

That was the trick, my man. I use the Pax loading tool that way for Nano stems, ELB's, and my GH.

But yes, sucking the herb up into the chamber resulted in excessive draw resistance and just a tiring session.

Loaded it just like a Nano stem. That is, just scoop it in there with no tamp.

I then ran a load of GG through it at 400 F and while not gigantic clouds I certainly got steady visible vapor AND the draw resistance was suddenly very acceptable.

I still don't see this as a daily driver type vape for me. But it's intended to be a highly portable/pocketable while still working to an acceptable level as a vape and it does indeed do that.

I'm an older guy at 65 and what kind of vape we really like often depends on our personal circumstance and desires. I generally always vape at home so pocketability isn't a major concern of mine so I also tend to be a bit less tolerant of any design or performance trade-offs made in the name of portability. But for many, this is an important criteria and they may well really like the Argo.

I still like the overall packaging of it and how it feels to hand. Very nice.

Small criticism.....the manual leaves a bit to be desired...e.g. it tells you that button "m" and + at the same time turns it on. It doesn't tell you that "m" and - is how you turn it off. It says what functions you can get from the menu, but doesn't show and define the icons that are used in the menu. Only one of them was a bit unclear but still.

Oh, and the taste was really good at first then died out as expected.

Seems like a very nice package for someone wanting pocketability and stealth.

Yes, that is exactly how I would describe it for my uses. Glad you got the loading deal sorted out. I also stir the load some so I can get as much taste as possible....after the 3-4th draw...its all medicating draws for most portables anyway......

All the version 2's have better draw resistance than OG models. I have not used the solo's..but Airs and now the argo. I would say go with the Air2 especially if you want to use with a water unit. Go with the argo if you need to use while mobile or need stealth use if possible.

I use my Air2 and Air1's with water only. Because of the use type with my Argo....I do direct draw when away from home and use it to .....as Baron23 so properly stated..."working to an acceptable level as a vape".

I like how easy and fast it is to use the Air's with a WPA and keep them clean. All with great taste and decent vapor amount. The argo does not give you as thick vapor compared to the Air. But still does the job well.

Any suggestions...I kind of see different feedback on this. Has a consensus emerged about grind, load, and packing?

Its a very cool package. As an older med patient, I really don't vape out and about that much (really hardly at all) so I'm not certain that this vape fits a use case of mine. But I do so like the packaging of it that I really would like to figure out how to optimize its performance and see what I think then.

Thanks

This is the best way I've found to load it. Sucking it into the stem does NOT work at all with this vape. If you do it like I did in the video you'll notice a huge increase in airflow if you do it right.

So I just realized the person I replied to already figured it out, but I'm just going to leave this here for anyone else having issues packing it.

My Arizer Go should be coming in either today or tomorrow. I still have some catching up to do in this thread, but I've gotten loads of useful tips and information already, so thanks for that guys and girls!

Thank you.....they may want to actually PUT THAT IN THE DAMN MANUAL! hahaha ;):brow::lol:

At one point when I was using the argo in a water unit...(it's upside down at this point)....I turned it off as I was drawing.....I thought I hit the M and the - button.....

Now I know just the M button will work to turn off. Thanks for that info canabis.pro!

No doubt...why is that not in the manual?

Does the Argo produce more vapor than the Air 2? I found the Air 2 to be a little weak in the vapor production department. When I had my Solo 2 though the vapor production was fantastic.

It will not be any stronger than the Air2. I have both and think the argo is just a bit lighter....not much but it is different because of how the load is more vertical and narrower. You get quicker extraction with the Air's.

I think the ArGo has a cleaner airpath than the stock Air2 setup. That plastic driptip gets unbearably hot for me on the Air2. On the other hand, I also don't feel the ArGo gets as hot as some people proclaim, but perhaps that is because I don't go over 385˚F.

I agree the Air2 can hit harder, especially as the session progresses and all the glass is heat soaked but the mouthpiece kills it for me as by that time I'm burning my lips.

I should of mentioned it...I mainly use through water and is what my opinion is based on here. Although I do use the argo direct draw with the WPA on some occasions when I am out and need to ...

About how much smaller? Like a noticeable amount? I've devised my own micro-dosing stem that holds about 2/3 less then the stock stem. It's basically just two glass screens sandwiched between two metal screens(one being domed) but it does "fall apart" sometimes when I go to empty it which can be kind of annoying if I'm not at home.

Sorry for the late reply.
After testing with my scale, which didn't register anything, I'd estimate that the black stem holds about 5-6/8th of what the clear stem can hold... approximately.

Lately, I like packing a little bit of peppermint before my herb, it tastes and smell fresh and also serves as a sort of filter for my other herb.

Sneaky Pete has got it going ON! Dude comes up with the killer glass pieces first on the Argo and other new vapes it seems.

Long stems are out in clear and black!

So I've had my Argo for about 2 months now and it's lived up to all of my expectations.

I've been using the Argo almost daily both by itself and in conjunction with some of my other vapes and it's really a great addition to my vaporizer lineup.

The Argo shines for me because it's so easy to use, so easy to clean, and the portability makes it easy for me to pick up whenever or wherever. I love the stem loading system and it lives up to being essentially "maintenance free" even for someone like me who's pretty particular about cleaning my vaporizers.

The vapor quality is quite good and the flavor is really excellent especially in the beginning.

It's not a huge cloud machine at lower temps but at high temps it can hold its own for sure.

I really enjoy the more sip focused session and the Argo has taken over the niche for daytime use, it allows me to get the perfect amount of medication for daytime use where my Mighty would probably be overboard.

Cleaning is a big deal for me as I'm pretty meticulous about making sure the inside of my vape is clean.

The Argo is awesomely easy to clean, I literally throw the Argo stem in with my Mighty pieces that I'm already cleaning and clean the Argo at the same time with no added effort at all.

The body of the device is solid, it's that metal/plastic/rubber mix but it feels very well put together.
(I've knocked it over a few times and it's survived without a scratch and no issues :))

I don't really have anything bad to say about the Argo. Maybe I'll say that I really don't use the pop-top at all, instead preferring to use a rubber cap over the stem but that's not really a problem at all.

I'm still getting used to exactly how to draw and what temperatures I prefer best but the Argo performs and gets the job done every time. It's an all around solid vape and I'd say its easily one of the best portables at it's size.

I think my Argo will end up lasting me essentially forever considering the removable batteries and replaceable stems which is really awesome.

Definitely glad I purchased an Argo and I think it's gonna serve me well for a long time to come!

Yes! Yes! This is the only really and truly portable vape I can take across the border (on a plane) cause you can get it clean to the point where it does not have that smokey telltale smell. And the stems being shorter than solo stems (for example) make it able to be cleaned with a q-tip and a bit of iso. And I am guessing that the reliability of the device is not quite soloish but given the company I bet it is pretty good over time.

I definitely agree, the Argo is one of the least smelly Vapes I have for sure.

I just drop the stems in a jar of iso then run under hot water and they're good as new.

Ease of cleaning in any vape gets huge bonus points from me

I normally hit them with an ISO swabbed Q-Tip so they dry quicker then waiting for water to dry. Our water has a lot of minerals in it, so it seems to keep things clear as well long term with the glass.

Hello Argonaut !

I have received my Argo from @VapeFiend.com ! Du to an error in my command, they kindly give me a free black mouthpiece , WPA and a spare battery. @VapeFiend.com have an awesome customer service !

It's my first Arizer product, I own two mighty. I'm very pleased with the overall experience. : form factor, heat up times, flavor and the smooth vapor. The vapor @200° is smoother and cooler than the mighty (@180°). I was thinking the vapor will be harsher than my mighty but it's the opposite ! It's perfect for taking your time when you're vaping, the load in the stem don't get cook too much when you are not inhaling. With the mighty, the vapor became hot and harsh if you don't inhale regularly. I know the Argo is a session vape too, but the convection thingy is appreciable.

I'm very very pleased with Argo, I'm really happy I didn't take the Tera during 4/20.

Just got my Argo today. Other than a “error 2” message when I plugged it in (search revealed a charging cable issue among users), but a change of cable to a better one I already had fixed the problem, it’s a stellar vape. Gets a little warm but nothing that bothers me.

I had an IQ when they first came out but didn’t like the lack of efficiency. Then went purely butane for the last 6 months, this is my return to a battery powered portable. I am not disappointed at all. The flavour is amazing with this one. The efficiency and ability to split a bowl into a few sessions without totally ruining flavour, is what impresses me. The pop top is a little odd, but I’m gonna use it as intended and enjoy it. If this unit is built like the Air and Solo, I’m sure it will last a long while. My brother still uses the original Solo, and although it’s taken some bumps over the years, it’s going strong. Let’s hope the ArGo can carry this legacy lol

Hey fellow Argonaut,

I have some questions for you :

How do you split your session ?
Can i preload the stem ? I'm afraid the herb I will fall from the stem into the heater.

-I have tried the Argo with the D020D bubbler, it's more enjoyable than the Mighty !
-I have also tested (€uropean) hash in a sandwich of herb, good flavor and longggggg session .
-How much minute did you have set your session timer ?
+At what temperature your begin your session ? Did you step up it or you do another session at higher temperatures ?

I thinks, this little vape is perfect for €uropean user : very discret, hash compatibility, 18650 cells, loading is quick and easy ! I havent touched my Mighty, since I got my Argo.

Sure you can preload. I use standard 12mm caps to keep it in place, and a second one on the MP end to keep the smell contained:

If you're really worried about debris getting caught (I'm not), take the first hit or two 'hamster style' (upside down like a hamster water bottle). The load gets 'glued together', and you can hold it any way you want.

You can pull a partially used stem, let it cool a bit, then cap it. Or simply leave it in place and raise the cover (what I do). Also worth considering is a standard 1 X 2 inch cap over the top:
2NaxN8V.jpg

You can fine high temperature caps, but they are much stiffer and won't go over the flare on the top of the stem, I recommend the standard (140F rated) ones.
