There is a mod in place from the cfx that also works on the tera to catch reclaim. If you use and elbow screen and keep the screen in the mouth piece thats already there. The flat screen will catch all the goo just as on the cfx.

Feels like the CF/X hijacked this Tera thread
While at it, I'll share what I already did in the CF/X thread :D

FYI the top part of the swivel mouthpiece that comes with the Boundless Tera, fits perfectly into the the CF/X mouthpiece, and it increases the airflow and also feels nicer than the CF/X mouthpiece which is very wide.

I use a modified glass mouthpiece on the Tera so I have no use for the swivel piece and installed it on my CF which is my backup vape. Probably not many of you are in a same situation to find this little mod useful, but just letting you know :D

The Tera isn’t bad..I don’t really ever do burn offs..imo it can do more harm than good but that’s another thread another day...I got mine yesterday and have ran 1 dry bowl and got good vapor at 365..and then did the wpa at 390 then bumped up to 400..nice clouds but not super thick..very big hits but not that thick milk..just reporting my findings..but the main point is it tasted decent and got me high..I really like the way the battery door has the magnets which I know others reported a rattle but I still like the magnets on this vape. Easy removal of mp and just overall easy to change mp and so forth. And the vape just feels good in the hand. I can’t wait to get my square back and try them head to head..

I will add that the device has a premium feel to it comparing to plastic based vapes. The plastic part is coated with rubber, and the door is metal.. the mouthpiece plastic is also a very strong one. On top of that the device is heavy due to having 2 batteries, which adds to the feeling :p

Yes i do agree. It definitely has heft to it. And I like that they do listen to us and the unit comes with everything especially the best mini Dab tool/ scraper in the game..

I must say that I've sent mine back for a refund. I'll be back when the CFX 2 is out (if it has quick charging). Right now, I'm just gonna stick with the cfx. I cant really find a reason not to.

Well I sat down and had a blow out session with both units. I think the quick charge feature is a little better for my usage as compared to the Tera. It didnt have any off gassing issues. It did smell for a while, but nothing huge. There wasnt a specific issue i'd like to single out that made me change my mind. Mostly it was the price tag mixed with why do I need it. It doesn't have any features i'd really go for before the CFX. Both give great clouds and even vape. The changeable batteries are great but why change out batteries when I can just charge the CFX for 15 minutes?

If it were a replacement for my CFX i'd love it, but i just dont see that happening.

So you just told your seller that you're unhappy and got a refund after already using the device?

I guess it's extra easy with the Tera, given the Teflon controversy, Boundless said they'd issue refund for those who ask, and I assume the vendors will follow if you mention this issue.
Either way, this must be the first case I see someone preferring the CFX over the Tera, I find the Tera a better vape overall and most importantly it gets me higher. I did mod it quite a bit though, and of course to each their own.

Yeah my smell has gone away after 6 bowls and the tera will milk some glass and the cfx will as well but with the tera for me its a better overall experience..definately not gonna knock my mighty out of rotation but ill use it..i still bring my mighty to work with me as i feel at times its the only device that will do the trick. Its just a security thing as i know its a tank and has good battery life. This tera has really good batt life so far..ive ran 5 bowls 3 of them through water snd have half of batt life left..thats not bad at all..

Hey everyone,

I would like to give an update regarding the Boundless Tera and the Boundless Technology brand. In regards to the Tera, we along with our collaborators have been running tests on both returned and personal units.

Randy( @PuffItUp ) has shared with me a video of a working Tera that has been ripped open to check for any off-gassing or irregularities. It was found that bits of herb were getting stuck to the heating element and producing vapor on an updated Tera unit that had been shipped out to him. The video can be seen here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ndqjexpb2rym3i9/20180427_130910.mp4?dl=0

Randy also tested and tore open his sample unit, that he has been using for the past month, to show if any deterioration was found on the Teflon AF 2400. Teflon AF 2400 is the material used as a buffer between the ceramic heating element and stainless steel spiral that sits on the heating element. It was reported that no discoloration or deformation was found

https://db.tt/mZSJgJx48P - Here is his photo gallery of the broken down Tera that Randy has been using for the past month.

We have also received results from a stress test that @stickstones has taken the time in performing. The following is a rundown of the test performed:

“Here's what I did to the unit:

-fully charged set of Boundless batteries

-set unit to concentrate mode

-started heating

-once it timed out I immediately restarted the heater

-repeated until it stopped going to concentrate temps (it was overheating and wouldn't do concentrates again until the next night)

-continued to run cycles like this on herb mode until the battery died.

-put in a set of fresh batteries a day later and ran a few more concentrate modes to stress it, but only did this for a few sessions before stopping

-a few days later I opened it up and found a rough spot on the teflon that wasn't on any other unit I opened up

-closeups reveal cracking and splits.”

These images of the Teflon from @stickstones unit conveys that there is some degradation of the material after the stress test. I am doing my best to attain information whether the testing conditions played a factor in causing the apparent lesions. This is concerning enough to justify letting the community know the results; all Tera pre-order customers and all resellers will be notified of these results.

Boundless has the advantage to listen to the community and directly relay the thoughts or suggested changes of our units to our manufacturer. We are also users of our own products and share the same concerns with the community. Boundless has been in the process reworking the Tera to be able to function without any material on the internal heating element. We have been on hold with manufacturing new Tera units and will not restart production until the unit is functioning correctly without the material.

In regards to the brand, all of us at Boundless trust in our manufacturer and the safety of our units. We also believe in maintaining a healthy relationship and a consistently high interaction and discussion within the forums. Past internal issues initially led a chain reaction of rushed decisions and misdirection that is currently being worked out within the Boundless team.

The Boundless team is taking the necessary actions to prevent any rushed releases and to ensure that all future units will be performing as expected with health in mind. The first step towards restructuring our brand, with hopes to gain the confidence lost from some community members, was the decision to move forward without our former management team. Although the entire Boundless team has been close friends and partners for many years, the rushed decisions made by our previous management team has caused us to re-evaluate our product releases and restructure our team internally to be more aware of all manufacturing processes and steps.

Our team is dedicated to the community and will move forward in doing our best to regain the communities confidence in our units. Please reach out with any questions to Eric@bndlstech.com and I will do my best to help out.

Guess I'll wait then to do burnoffs, no sense.
Received my new unit from PIU last week.
They told me to do many 500* burnoffs before using it, letting it cool between.

Have not had time to do burnoffs too busy working before knee surgery yesterday, was planning on starting them tomorrow.
Gonna have few weeks off now to play:smug:

So what now? Do we keep our units? Or return them? And btw how does unit even go aboce 428??
Press main button to toggle to concentrate mode then up to 500*

Was just on their site and the Tera is out of stock

Sent email to PIU waiting to hear back

I will share a comment I posted on the /r/vaporents forum:

The intent of this post was to share with the community the results of two cases. One after a continuous month of use was found to not have any sign of degradation while the other, which went through a heavy stress test, was found to have apparent lesions. Our team has been examining the material on our personal units as well and have matched up to Randy's results. It has not been declared a recall but we will be working with our resellers to compensate for those customers who wish to return the unit and will also be accepting returned units. Our goal is to compensate all of those who purchased the Tera with an updated version regardless if they return the unit and I will be updating as I get more information. Please feel free to email me Eric@bndlstech.com if you have further questions.
