Yep, and I remember you guys doing them so I didn’t have to... but fast forward to now and I’m pretty much the only one left here to defend claims like this:

But wtf bother, right? Posts of cannabis products and rap videos will always be much more appreciated...

Oh I didn’t see this. While it is true that each battery reacts just a tad differently, out of that many batteries I simply don’t see all of them being bad. I do have one that I hit out of the four I have that gives sub-par performance anything less than three leds it seems. However, the rest which are all of the newer generation I haven’t had any issues with.
The only time I’ve really seen performance suffer between multiple batteries is when there is an airbypass somewhere. This was occuring with me using cracked stems. I was refusing to throw them out and continued using them. There was an ever so slight bypass going on and that was enough to make it do what he’s describing.

Short of that though, nah.. not that many. Something is going on there. Unless it is the unit.. dunno, hard to speculate, dude needs to hand it to me through the screen so I can play :D preferably loaded up too :)

I continue to support the MV1 and the Ghost team. I really can't find anything bad to say about the vape. If stealth isn't an issue, I will reach for the MV1 every time. Good flavor and great effects. Where my usage pattern differs is that I rarely try to use multiple crucibles in an evening but if I do, I'm not trying to mainline them and can wait until the active crucible cools. The crucibles seem to cool down much faster than the crucible for the Venus Apollo, which can stay remarkably hot, even when set in front of a partially open window with a 50 degree outside temp and with occasional 180 flips to cool both sides.

The MV1 and the Firewoods are the vapes I would recommend without reservation.

the good.

thing hits well clouds at 220

battery is a beast 2 days with heavy use for me

quite like the crucibles no need for oven scrubbing and screen replacements, just keep on top of it.

App works like its meant to

the bad

15 second draw timer isnt enough its like just as im tucking into the best bit of the meal the server comes and whips it off the table.

clouds are non existent under 200

for some reason if you touch the back button then let off and hit it again you wont get a long enough preheat and no clouds, it must think your on the 2nd draw and it doesn't need to fully heat

i get only one nice draw per crucible then one measly after stir draw ( could be good or bad if you consider it fully extracted) unless i sit at low temp and get unfulfilling light clouds.

vape defo has a hotspot in the centre of the load, reminds me of a log vape

why did they include cut in half q-tips, the shittest money saving idea ever, please include brush since customers are paying you a fortune.

result:

for me this thing is a portable one hit machine, one great cloud then a refill is needed, no good for relaxing with a movie or multitasking but ideal if you just want to get ripped and then get on with a task.
flavour is ok, not as good as the mighty but that's subjective.

should you buy:

upto you

I'm having more and more issues with overheating.
Twice this week, it happened after only 3-4 full draws.

Any advice would be welcomed. Getting annoyed but love the vapor quality when not too hot to use.

Try less material in crucible if you're getting a charred hot spot... fill loosely not even to the top of crucible. when my replacement unit worked, that really helped on hot spots.

Lowering the amount material in the crucible gave me bigger clouds too... it's a true convection vape, and doesn't have a strong enough heater and/or design can't handle a tamped crucible.

If you're getting a really nice 15 second hit, at high temp, that might be why your only getting one really nice hit. And if you're getting full extraction in two hits that's awesome if you ask me. Took me 4 to 6 or 7 draws to kill a crucible, first 2 or 3 the best.

On the over heating, my unit did that a bit. Super clean lids seemed to help. Mostly I think though heavy users just need a two or three or four chambers in succession to get highly medicated, and when the battery is fresh these things overheat doing that. In a new design I think it would great to have a bigger crucible and since it's a brick any way use like a lithium ion battery the size of Dewalt power drill! :)

Takes me 5 or 6 hits to kill a crucible at 10 - 15 sec draws on level 3. Making it to 15 sec is as far as my lungs will take me.

Sometimes you get tunneling if the herb is really sticky & moist as the terps create a blocking film right in the center of the crucible lid & that causes it.

@FlyingLow, how long have you had your Ghost for & do you have the latest firmware installed?

I'll get on the app tomorrow to check firmware, but I think I am on the latest... have had it since last year, not sure the date.

App is cool to dial it in and easily tune in a setting, but I find that I have not fussed with it much at all after its release

@FlyingLow, if you are suddenly experiencing overheating issues, you'll should start a thread over on VLF or post to an existing 'overheating' thread in the Ghost category & copy in @ghostops.

Summer,
Having a possible problem, but I will give you all a rundown.

Got the vape in Friday and let it charge over night. Worked great all day Saturday in the sun and used it a little on Sunday. Vapor is smooth and my only complaint is the way of switching modes. 300 bucks and it doesn't even have a OLED screen, or just something?

The problem I am experiencing now is when I plug it in, the red light for the battery doesn't come on? I charged it Saturday night, and used it maybe for half a bowl 2-4 hits Sunday night, then preceded to plug it back in that night and the red light doesn't come on.

I would try to kill the battery right now, but I have class and other priorities this week (engineering student). I just want to use it this weekend without any surprises.

Does anyone know if the battery is charged enough the red light on the battery won't come on?

(note I am not using the fast charger).

yea i really wish I ordered the fast charger with the vape now. To order it by itself now, I have to pay for shipping haha!

Besides the roll out issues, the biggest reason I have stayed away from the MV-1 is the cost of the "extras" a fast charger is $60, IIRC a battery (which has absolutely no use outside a MV-1) is also $60. Crucibles are $20 a dispenser is $30 Before long you are at $475-$500 plus shipping.

my thoughts are this , they must make so little on the vape due to the build quality and the r&d that they have the squeeze pennies everywhere else, hence the cut in half q tips over priced accessories and my new favourite discovery the postage stamp sized alcohol wipes.

The USB direct cable attachment is nice, and I prefered it too.... it's just slow, but since the battery kinda sucks at the end of the charge, i never let it get there, and th helps speed the charging...

I have had a problem with charging from USB where the light does not come on when u try to charge ot. Put battery in vape if it is not now on vape turn on vape with one push hold and then three clicks for standby mode. Now try to charge with USB cable. Leave it till light turns off. Could take up to 8 hrs.
