I can't believe I waited so long to get on board with DV. Not wanting to use butane perhaps, but regardless, adding these to my line up has pushed many vapes to the backseat.

So my current setup is an M18 w/ Ti tip. Use that one with the screen all the way forward for micro. And an Omni which I keep the screen back for a bigger sesh.

That said my M18 SS tip is sitting idle. Is there a scenario where it may/should come out to play? Or is it just an emergency backup?

Of course you’re right & thanks! I had a bad cycle accident in 2010 that shattered my elbow & docs told me I’d never play again. Fortunately they were wrong & I can do what I do-I’m grateful for that every day. Very kind encouragement from you folks & much appreciated! To stay on topic, you guys were totally right about this Dynavap and I’m very impressed with my new M, which somehow makes my playing better...

Most doctors usually tend to go for the worst case scenario, so if things go south with a diagnosis, they get their a$$es covered. In my humble opinion, the magic of music lies in the journey of learning and playing. To me just practising is extremely fun. So keep on playing!

Τhis might not be to your taste, but this guy is an amazing example of human will. His left hand is missing from the wrist down.

And to stay on topic,
I was given this sort of electric tool brush with metal bristles today. Its very handy for those sticky abv particles on the screen.

Just trying to think what I would do with the other 4 of them...

One of 'em has your name on it if you want it. PM me with your address.

Those fingers have seen a guitar fretboard or two. Cool.

Yeah hash does get sticky. But when I use it with some degummed hemp it doesn't leak out to much into the cap. All vapes tend to get dirty with hash I think. At least my haze, my caps and my log get way more dirtier than with flowers. But the M can get cleaned so easily, just soak it in iso and use qtips for the cleaning and you'll be fine.

I do like hash a lot especially when I smoked joints I'd prefer it over flowers, but I think it gives me to much trouble cleaning wise compared to flower. And feeling wise it doesn't differentiate from flowers that much when vaping, so that's why I stick to flowers most of the time. When smoking the feeling of flowers compared to hash was huge and I liked the high from hash over marijuana.

I was saying the same thing a year and a bit ago, how can something so small and simple be so good? It has certainly what it takes to compete with electric vapes.

It's good on a winters day or out on a boat when the wind is stealing the heat from your vapcap. The SS has more mass so it holds the heat better between hits.

EDIT: It seems I've stalled the thread??

Thank you @beyond6strings for the musical inspiration. For two days now I've played my acoustic with only my fingers during my morning cap and coffee. I've discovered a new groove and feel that I was always looking for but couldn't find the way there. It's like a sandy piece of driftwood floating down the Fraser, while the morning dew is still on the grass, and the sky is steel dark grey with clouds. Turbulent yet flowing, steeped with a bit of mystery and solitude.

I find that my Vapcaps are a great music companion, the short cycle time is good because it means less time spent vaping and more time playing. It relaxes me and lets me break out of my old patterns and explore something else.

@beyond6strings awesome jams dude!! I'm gonna try out that dadgad tuning on electric, I've been in a bit of a writing slump with my band lately and have been thinking a different tuning could make things interesting, we usually tune in drop c# already so just a matter of getting those high strings tuned down a step. Will be fun to try out some of those chord voicings in a more distorted aggressive fashion :p

Anyway keeping things on topic, while still eagerly awaiting my order from the 420 sale, my friend received his 18m which he ordered from a canadian vendor, and gave it to me to try out on my break at work yesterday, along with a little bit of pre ground bud he had in an empty pill bottle and a single flame dollar store torch.
I walked a reasonable distance away from my office building to a little stealthy spot I share with some other colleagues. packed my first ever cap, got the torch out, aimed it in the middle of the cap, got my flame and spin going. Heard the click, grabbed the choke, started to pull and was BLOWN AWAY.
All my anxiety about accidentally combusting or even underheating was in my head. Even outside in relatively windy conditions, with quite honestly the cheapest torch lighter available, I was able to achieve the biggest, most flavorful, and most potent 3 hits I've ever had from any vaporizer in my life.
I hit 3 cycles and waited for the last cool down click, then popped the cap off just to take a look at the reamains because honestly, although the taste didn't taste like smoke, I was having a hard time believing that I got that big of a cloud from just vapor. Yet again, all my worries were laid to rest when I saw the perfectly even, golden brown abv that was left in the chamber. I can't believe I nailed my first cap like a pro! I guess I have all the great YouTube videos and of course you great bunch of capheads to thank, as well as my own obsessiveness about new toys :ko::ko::ko:.
Anyway, all this to say I'm even more convinced now that this is the ONE! The herb vape that will finally get me off joints for good! No more gross ashtrays full of roaches and rez! No more morning flem coughs! No more burning through a 200 dollar oz in 8 days :p:p:p!
.......now I just hope the thing will hurry up and get here!

First, you’re a good writer! Will look forward to hearing more stories after your order arrives. :)

I got my 420-day order with the light wood Omnivong a few days ago and I’m having the same wonderful experience you just wrote about. It’s pretty unbelievable...a TINY amount of bud and seconds later... walaa...no muss no fuss...all is good! It just doesn’t get any better than this. All that clapping is for Dynavap for making us the smallest and most hassle-free vaporizer on the market. Nothing less than brilliant. And oh so much fun! :D

Thanks guys!
It was definitely a great introduction and also a much needed break on an otherwise excessively stressful workday, since that same work buddy actually quit and left halfway through his shift, and the other person in my department had called in sick that day :ugh:, luckily I was able to hold everything down, thanks to those hits off of an amount of weed that, for the rest of my life up until now, would have not even been enough for a full bowl

So much love to George and the DV crew for designing and manufacturing such a simple and effective device.I know it's not the first flame powered vaporizer, but everything about it appeals to me, the modularity, the mechanical operation, the precise machining, the fact that it's actually portable in a "throw in your pocket" way rather than a " bring it in a separate bag" way, the click!..... Y'all know I could go on forever here :rofl:but I'm so stoked.
tracking says my DV order should arrive by thursday at the latest, but it's already in Mississauga so I'm thinking I may have a surprise delivery on Tuesday or Wednesday... Which happen to be my days off work :D:D:D!!!
I ended up taking George's reccomendations and going with the dual flame vertigo Zippo style lighter instead of the triple. Couldn't find a local headshop selling any pocket torches, they only had big ones for dab rigs, but I ordered it from a Canadian cigar accessories store. From what I've read the tank is a bit on the small side but I like the discreetness of the Zippo casing and the way the flames angle into each other seems like kind of a best of both worlds scenario with the precision of a single flame and the extra muscle from a dual.
I hope both orders will arrive on the same day as well as my silo from sneaky Pete, but worst-case scenario I get the DV order first, I know I can get away with a cheapo torch from the dollar store untill my next package arrives :lol:

I have a question.

While pretty, curious why people would collect wood which can be irritating, and
put them in their mouths.

Seems I am not affected, so I can keep mine. No Botox needed.

It’s usually inhaling the dust that is the irritating part. Unless the vapcap is being abraded there’s really nothing to irritate your body.

I can touch yellow cedar and it doesn’t cause me to itch or any of the other symptoms. But as soon as it’s cut and dust is in the air i can’t stand it.

i love the enthusiasm of introducing the VC to new imbibers/ex smokers. Finally gave away my last 17M to my new neighbor, gave him the basic instructions, plugged in some headband and Demo time! a few sips of some homemade whiskey, and we were off. Happy Monday all.

I find best results on my Omni xl come from keeping carb fully open how the M comes as standar. I then cover the carb using the sticky strip on rolling paper & put a pinhole through this.

With this configuration i find i get biggest clouds, airflow is free & i never get hot vapour that gives me a coughing fit.

With this set up vapour is much cooler n smoother, more comfortable.

I used to try using the adjustable mouthpiece to get right airflow but i could never get to a setting i was content with.

@Tronzo669 I think you'll dig DADGAD. Power chords for daze. Or DADDAD, a David Crosby tuning. It's hard to get melodic with it, but good god, an electric with a bit of an Octave box thrown in, and some ballsy distortion-fuck yeah.

However, I would highly recommend a bowl or two of something yummy in a vapcap before you head down that road-you'll be there for a while and you'll want to make sure you take that on your journey.
