Or a guy like me wonders by and says 'Holy shit! Does it work? I'll take it, thanks....'. Your call. What's the chance a guy who already has one will be interested in another for such a bargain price? I bought several returns from PIU a couple years back at $80 and passed them on to very grateful guys at that cost. Great deal for all, I'd do it again. You asked my opinion, I suggested going for it, it's in your hands now.

I passed on comparing vapes in such general terms, I think I'll still refuse to get into such a subjective deal.

If you want to break more glass, see @ataxian. You don't even have to have him come by, he does excellent consulting from poolside I'm told........

No, 'use while charging' has been around for several years. The "true PA", that needs a special supply came before that. There is no pass through per se. The charger isn't strong enough to run solo, you need to charge the dead battery something like 8 or 9 minutes to support a session.

Well I called my local place and they said they will hold it for me through this next week. Just need to get by there. I am excited to give it a run through. Hopefully I will be able to gain some insight reading through the rest of the thread. Any packing, heat setting, or usage hints those of you who are long time users or recent converts might care to pass on? Thank you again ahead of time!

My first SOLO #4 Dry
#5 Wet

My connector I pack full, however loose. (GonG/STEM)

Every 2 hour of the day a pond waking I have a session if not more often?

Now I'm a MEDICAL consumer of CANNABIS 50% of the time.
Recreation about 50% I tell myself to feel fine!

Don't leave your battery on the charger once you reach 6 or 7. (7 is what I go 4!).

@OF know's best!

I just MEDICATE.

I used DA SOLO with water for many year's!
Still do.
However DRY has been nice since the QUALITY of CANNABIS has improved and has gotten cheaper.
The SOLO is a PERFECT TOOL 4 my need's! (my wife love's it 4 me!)

Solo vs. Air? I have an OG Air that is on it's last legs. Contemplating just going for another Air but wondering if there is a bigger/better vaping experience between the Air and the Solo. Does it heat up any quicker? Honestly, if it hits the same and heat up times aren't that much quicker, I prefer removable batteries w/ the Air. But if the hits are much more gratifying from a Solo and it heats up quicker, I may go that direction. Stealth is not a factor for me. I've also got an ExtremeQ but I don't get much desktop time anymore. Thanks for any words of wisdom.

It's been said more than once '(with your eyes closed) you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between Solo and Air. A bit faster to heat perhaps, but the same glass stems have to 'heat soak' in both cases which largely offsets any time improvement.

The new Air cell ('battery') does have about 50% more capacity (say six sessions not four?), but you didn't ask that........ Same 50% increase with Solo II (same cells there).

IMO Solo was a breakthrough around 201oish when first released??? @OF
I have a M107 & M1D models I believe, from @PuffItUp, still going and working every single day circa 2011ish. Never have changed batteries.
I also have a pass through “prototype” charger for running both Solos simultaneously or both charging simultaneously thanks to mastermind @OF (BTW still rocking that thing, as a charm, always much appreciated wise man).
Best vape purchases ever. They’re already paid off 1000s times their worth.
Probably I went through 5 pounds, or more, of greens with them in their spectacular careers jajajaja

Well having both a pair of Airs and a Solo that's close to 7 years old I agree to their similarities.. Love them both, they all get daily use. I have replaced the Solo battery once, I run a stable of a number of Air batteries and a 4 battery charger. Treat them like flashlights. The Air shorter stems run a little hotter than the Solo stems. Mouth piece on Air is nice, more refined. I made a Walnut mouth piece for the Solo that is working well. I have had a few Air stems that I have been unable to unscrew for fear of snapping. Have lost a few Air stems as they will roll like lemmings for the floor..nevertheless the air pathway is clean. You can customize your heat nicely. My wife runs hers hot as she is a reluctant vaper really- roll me up one kind of girl.
Anyways I highly recommend either one And I'm kind of a homer too for Arizer.

Hey, I remember that project, thanks for the reminder and update. Good to know it's still going strong.

For those who don't know it, ZC is a madman of the first order. He wanted to use a 'Y' connector to hook both his Solos to a single WT for yet more clouds......and wanted PAs to save the batteries in the Solos (out of country so replacements a big problem???). That was a few years back, good to hear both you and the dual output PA prototype survived the adventure.

Not sure about that 'mastermind' stuff, doesn't it usually have "criminal" in front? As in 'Criminal Mastermind'.........

Back with a report that may add little in new thinking but certainly what I thought from a first run. I was amazed at how good the flavor was the first 4-5 pulls starting at setting 3. I then jumped to 4 and went for I would guess another 6-7 draws. Then I did a last burst for effect of setting 6. I noticed it warmer but by no means a distraction or area for concern. I stopped the unit at that point. Removed my former clump of material and crumpled it for a bit . Put it back in and tapped it down. Back to setting 6! The last three draws had the "feel" of combustion, where the tightly packed Solo stem mimicked a tightly rolled one and the pull of that heat through the stem was not unlike the sensation of pulling a big drag off the start of a joint. I had missed that sensation, and who knew I would find it as I scavenged the last bit of benefit from my holistic herb. I am officially CIVILLIZED!! Thank you for the great thread. I am anxious to read even more of it now. :)

I had my pool tile cleaned and my wife made me put my vaporizer's away?

To work around the intrusion I used the SOLO dry in SHEATH MODE.

DUTCH TREAT + SOLO 3 (this one likes lower setting's?) = CIVILIZED anyway!
