If you search "micro dosing" on this thread you get over 20 times it's been discussed, probably ten times that on the OG Solo and two Air threads (where it's basically identical, in fact stems interchange). Including this gem:

BH knows his stuff. You might start there rather than counting on all of us to repeat what we've said on the subject already? You're sure to get a more compete answer that way? That is at most only a small fraction of opinions will be offered again, and probably none of the responses to those opinions at all.

Very subjective question, therefore no 'yes/no' answers.

The short answer is yes you can do small loads, but you have to plan for them. Simply filling it part way will not work. fWIW all my Solo/Air stems in use save one have domed screens for typical loads about half normal, what I find a reasonable load for what I want.

He may have them elsewhere? He's a Good Guy (GG), perhaps if you PM him he'll tell you where the body's buried?

Did you do a search and see what other useful information is out there for the finding? Lots of good discussion over the years on this topic.

Well @nomadicsoul34 opinions are like a-holes. Everyone has one and most of them stink.

But since you asked, I use a Crafty for small doses and just put a liquid pad on top. Very nice for small loads and for keeping the chamber clean (IMO). The pad makes sure the load is evenly roasted. The Crafty is pretty discreet and I use it out and about with no problems.

I have two Craftys and have turned off the vibration feature since it may contribute to mechanical failures (also just in my opinion). So far so good and when their batteries do less than 3 loads I will contact jcat to get replacement batteries.

Edit: my bad I thought I was in the Crafty thread. I do have trouble putting loads much smaller than .07 in the Solo 2 since there is not enough flower to tamp anything down in the stem and I do not use a screen over the load.

Well i find my Solos both I and II
very efficient. Smaller loads do work as long you fill the stem half way, loosely packed. I've tried the dome screen and didn't find it much different to just filling the stem half way.

I don't have an enano so can't comment there. Solo is all I need.

I picked up a new Solo II from PIU's 420 sale, my OG Solo is so cracked that the base is able to slide out of the housing. Still works but why risk it, especially since it can't really hold a stem solidly? Anyway, i got a blue one, breaking tradition, and i love it like I love it's fraternal twin. Add in the black stems for stealth, yeah. It got here way before 420 but I got distracted, lol, meant to wish everyone a good fun day! Hope you guys are out enjoying your Solos :)

Not sure if this has been mentioned recently/before


My buddy just got a new Solo II shipped direct from Arizer (for 420) and his display has updated firmware.


The battery indicator is no longer a bar, it actually shows the true percentage (50%, 72%, etc).


Super cool.

You should have spoken to Arizer about it, they were exchanging units with error codes for new ones.

I've had a few of each lately and emailed Arizer. They want me to send my unit in (again).

Hooe I get the new firmware on the return!!
