MiniVAP Vaporizer

Received my miniVap from 420 POTV sale a few days ago and tried it for the first time last night. Only other experience is with Solo II and M18 Dynavap.

Loaded medium basket loosely, close to full, attached screen and basket to flexicone+. Started on the 2nd heat setting (pink led) for 2-draws, pure flavor not much visible vapor, then switched to 3rd heat setting (Green) for another 7-10 draws which produced a more enhanced full flavor with very good vapor production. What I noticed over the Solo II and Vapcap is a much smoother almost creamy vapor quality. Taste seemed completely pure and unaltered. Where the same strain would cause me to cough every inhale through the Solo II at about 380F, the miniVap should I dare say was much more CIVILIZED (used this word my 1-free time :-) ). It seemed to be very efficient with extraction with no hot spots in the material, with a very nice, even, toasted look. Even though I am a newbie, I can detect the quality with this device.

My one area of concern, is on the longer draws, the vapor would get uncomfortably warm, and the day after my gum areas are a bit sensitive, like you scalded your mouth a bit with hot soup or similar. The Solo II also caused some day-after sensitivity as well, but didn't feel hot when you were drawing on it, at least under 400F. Since I am already using the flexicone+ which is suppose to provide cooler draws than just the flexicone with plastic mouth pieces, does anyone have any suggestions?

Try the flexicones with plastic mouthpiece. I like it better.

Of the last 6 vapes that I have purchased it always whittled down to the one I bought And the Minivap" Why is it always the bridesmaid and never....."?
No major critic ,tmk, has ever taken the time to review it !! Many people swear by this Hermés gem ,yet it still is a rumor to many, including myself . For the last 4-5 yrs It always came in second for me. We have many talented people here with us who can spin an entertaining yarn or 2 , so please use that power of the pen to inform us info junkies. Hermés deserves a lot of the blame for having such a bland website and zero PR. Step right up and become the next Bud , Peyton or Sticks and tell me why my next purchase should be the mighty, mighty Minivap.

everyone has different vaping wants/needs/expectations, but for me, my miniVAP has remained in the #1 position for years and years. Yea, those hotshot new contenders come blowin' in on the vape highway, touting their new mega-multiple-banzai-super-superior stuff, but when the room lights go down and the vapes get turned on to show what they've got, that low key miniVAP puts them in their place.
When you look at the whole sequence from build quality, to appearance/quality of build, to loading system, to FLAVOR , to EFFFICIENCY, to how easy/quick is emptying and refilling, to how versatile, to how often cleaning is needed, to reliability and dropability, to how uniform is ABV, to how fully it extracts, to taste at the end of the load, to it being a desktop and a battery vape with probably the longest battery life, well, that old miniVAP keeps putting the contenders in their place IMO.

With the exception of a slow heatup time , which you can usually work around, it has almost no real negatives where many of the hotshot contenders have some big negatives. Pricey unit but it was $900 when introduced so be thankful.
It's the low key vape that continues to kick vape ass in my stable....

What we need is a video showdown/ head-to-head video of two challengers. Vapordome---Two vapes enter, one vape leaves! Battle to the death. George's studio?????
I throw out the first challenge----VXL EVO fans, does your vape have what it takes???? :)

I did try this and it seemed a bit better. The tip of the mouthpiece would get hot to the lips which shortened the draws some on green/red, and as a result was a bit less harsh on my gum areas. My mouth probably needs to get conditioned to these vape temps or perhaps I should try some water filtration.

I still use and very much enjoy the og Teflon non-quick core. After 3 years of dailly use, its still one of the best hitting, tasting and efficient vapes that I own.
agreed.
Okay, thanks. The first time I used the flexicone+ whip, but I didn't add the plastic mouthpiece.
I don't add it either... in fact I cut my flexicone's whip to 3 inches!

You've got more experience than most!

The MINIVAP has extremely nice FLAVOR.

I did not smoke pot until 1970 and restarted in 2011 or 2012?

The drug's I was given did not work? (6)

CANNABIS worked best? +1 is better than 6?

Why R many thing's legal however not CANNABIS?

What is the LOGIC?

Got the minivap little more than a week and was inspired by this thread. Because of taste focus I' ve choose the teflon version and I'm very happy with it. Effects, look (gold) and ease of use made it to my terrace vape. The only thing I don't like is heat up time. It's approximately 5 min until I reach the green light. The shop says that all units are the new version with new heat up element. So I wanted to ask if this is normal for the new version. Anyway it's worth waiting for it but I just want to get sure it's really the new version.

That's an iffy heat up time. It should be under 3 minutes, but I don't know if you're in a cold area, on the battery, or how good your electrical service is. Older units would take a little longer than 5 minutes, though, so it's hard to say just by that warm up time. Best to contact minivap and give them your serial number to check.

Ok I checked it and it was 8 min 34 sec (5 min was just estimated). But I didn't use it with the plug so far.

That sounds like OG Teflon heat up time to me. I would take sticks advice and send a email out to MV team to confirm your unit is the latest quick core.
