Best Home Vaporizer for Dual Use? (both Concentrates & Flowers)

SunnyHours

Well-Known Member
Hi all!

I've moved like 4 times in the last 7 months and let's just say my Vaping equipment did not survive those very well.
I basically lost all my vaping gear.
My Vriptech Heat Wand's glass shattered, my 10 Years Old Real ROOR Lil' Sista 3.2mm broke, my D020 broke and so did it's replacement Gear bong...
And last but not least, both my PVHES Vortex Stem and 14mm Water Adapter are broken for my Arizer Solo.

The only thing that survived is the last thing I thought would, my Gear "Dabmolisher" Nectar Collector.

Although I do enjoy it quite a lot, I wouldn't mind having a more Efficient way of using my Concentrates and flowers too. Though my Arizer Solo is Very efficient with Flowers with the PVHES Vortex Stem/Water Adapter...

For now, since I'm looking for huge clouds as well (has to fill in the hole left by the Vriptech Heat Wand 3.0).
So I've been looking at the VapeXhale Cloud EVO. Since I don't have any glass anymore, I figure it'd be the best time to buy a VXL with Hydratube and Quartz VapeXnails.

The only thing is that if I'm gonna pay that kind of price I wanna make sure that I'll be saving some money on (hopefully) both Concentrates and Flowers.

1- It's either getting my Vriptech Heat Wand 3.0 a new glass cover (~160$), getting a new bong and a new rig (~300$), buying a E-Nail Kit (~300$) and getting a new PVHES Vortex Stem and Water Adapter (~70$).

Or

2- Getting a VapeXhale Cloud Evo with Hydrabomb, 6 ELB's, 2 Boro VapeXnail & 2 Quartz VapeXnail and a VapeXhale EVO station. All for 777$ LOL
Also thinking of adding a cheap F-Bomb copy used on an Arizer Solo/Air usually, but I'd use it simply not to use the same Water tool on Concentrates and Flowers...

Thanks a bunch!
And suggestions are more than welcome!

I own the flowerpot and enjoy both flowers and concentrates on-demand with my enail using a dnail SiC halo as a nail. They have their own SiC dish version which can save you some cash but still give you that superior performance and flavor.

$375 - Flowerpot with SiC dish, just add glass
https://www.newvape.com/flowerpot-sic-combo-20mm-1

I've heard nothing but good things about the cloud evo so you probably couldn't go wrong there either.

Personally, I think the enail is the next generation of vaping. There are a number of superior devices that are heated by the enail. Most options are paired with the compatible coil that only costs 35-80$ depending on brand/size/etc.

If you want to save money on concentrates and flowers, you should seriously look into rosin tech. That has longevity and money savings as far as I can tell.

Sounds like you need a Flowerpot, like @psychonaut said.
So The Flowerpot does both Concentrates and Flowers?
That's great but my question here is; Is it Efficient with Concentrates and Flowers?
And would I still have the possibility of doing huge Flower rips as well, like the VapeXhale or Vriptech Heat Wand 3.0?

The prices I wrote above are in Canadian Dollar$.
The Flowerpot Starter kit (Do I need an E-Nail to use this kit? How do you change the temperature? If so that's a deal breaker because it makes the Flowerpot around 300$ more expensive than the VapeXhale since I don't have an E-Nail) linked would be around 500$CAD+Shipping and other fees + a Water Tool as well...
From what I can tell there are no pieces I'd need as a backup (in case 1 breaks, like glass...that's a downside of ordering from Canada, with shipping costs, anything that could break I like to have a backup...) which keeps costs down.

Another thing is the Warranty is quite important since paying to send it in plus paying for return shipping is expensive, so I really hope the problems the previous VapeXhale Cloud EVO's had are now gone so as not to experience problems and more importantly down-time hehe.

My best advice would be to read up on the flowerpot thread, there are plenty of milk shot videos in glass and techniques detailed in great depth. It is about as efficient as anything I've ever tried.

As to durability, the device is made out of Titanium so it's not going to break unless you intend to break it.

As @psychonaut very well said, i would also give my vote for a Flowerpot setup!

If you get the Wraparound or Showerhead would be depending on the ratio of Flowers to Concentrates you like to use.

While the Evo is a good vape and also a heavy hitter for sure, the FP has some strong advantages for your use:
  • You want big rips and clouds - the FP delivers this. Period! Only Vape i own which really impresses all combusting friends
  • it is MUCH sturdier than the EVO and if something goes wrong, it is much cheaper and easier to find a solution (only thing i can imagine breaking is the coil which you can replace easily and cheap)
  • It can be tailored much more individual for your own preferences (Basket screen for micro dosing, third party glass bowl, plays well with many different glas pieces including cheap ones (Backup!)
  • the concept is much more open - new vape is even open about whre you can get the controller and coils from chine / dhGate
  • You get a real, full functioning e-Nail for the concentrate part - as good as the EVO handles concentrates, in my opinion this is just a different game.

Just my :2c: and i don t want to diss any other vapes but the scenario you describe just calls for NewVape, read a bit in the FP thread and ask any questions. I hope you find a satisfying solution for your scenario.
:peace:

Hey, Canook with Flowerpot here.

1. Don't get it all in one go. Buy an enail controller with cool and nail. The Auber RDK300 is like 200 bucks Canadian with shipping. Then get the parts gradually if you can wait. They always pop up on the classified section. I got a WA, bowl, carb cap, scoop, for like just over 110 bucks US, including shipping. All in came in around 380 CDN, including the D020 (D I think?). 4 months of easily spaced out transactions, and I picked up a second hand Liger in the interim. If you're fine with a Ti nail, they work fine and you'll have received one with an Auber. Or get an ebanger that doesn't suck.

You have a working Solo which is a beast and you will never be rid of. Grab a new water adapter and glass for it and use it as you build your FP set up. You get the glass you want for the FP and wait! Also, pick up some organic cotton for ecigs or some drummed hemp fiber. Toss a wee disk of shatter in between cotton pieces jammed into your Solo WPA with it at max temp, shove that into the oven, drop it into the glass. Boom. Face legit melted.

2. The FP Wrap Around is redonkulous in its efficiency for flowers, concentrates, and twaxing hits (both at once). You will milk your D020 like nothing else (I use one).

3. The FP is indestructible. I've dropped mine a billion times now. SiC is fine. Titanium is good for a butter fingers.

4. The enail controller is a growth system and let's you get other new equipment rather than locking you into a single system.

5. I assure you, knowing about this, you will now be curious and try to try the FP. And you will end up buying whatever you will, but will find your way to this bad boy eventually. Just save yourself the cash ;) I thought I wouldn't need it :p

After all, the Bamboo of the EVO is made of glas - EVO falls -> EVO broken :\

Flower Pot - Quartz Wrap Around (90) w/ Carb Cap (40) and Bowl (40-50)- 180 USD, 232 CDN. Shipping extra, not sure what Newvape charges

D020-D - 43 USD, 55 CDN, including shipping

Auber 300 w/ 20 mm coil, 135 USD, 186 CDN, with a rough estimate on shipping from my last order with Auber.

This set up looks like roughly 475 CDN. Toss on 20USD/25CDN if you want the Auber Ti nail for your controller/coil. Not necessary if you're getting the FP up front. I think even looking at this option will be far less than a fairly priced EVO.

Toss in a WPA adapter from a headshop for your Solo - like 10-20 bucks. A stand for your coil (I got an errlectric one from a local headshop for like 10 bucks).

There are many paths to happiness available for you. Not trying to discourage any thing else (I still want to try an EVO very very badly!), but instead offering you what was a path I have walked and enjoyed the scenery. And to not be too afraid of the price given the numbers you're already floating around!!

Updated with links!

My cheap little dhgate enail I bought years ago for $120 is still running strong with the coil that came with it! In fact I just bought a new coil the other day for no reason other than as a backup so my daily driver (FP setup) can deliver. I expect it'll sit around and collect dust like my other coils, but at $35 every 2+ years it's really a good deal for maintenance costs!

I've spent almost as much on an entire vape that didn't even deliver in the first effort.

Not to sound too high on my devices, even though I am! :leaf: Check the devices in my signature, all of them deliver in their own ways. I havent spent as much money as some finding the right devices, but I've been lucky enough to settle into ones that work extremely well for me as a patient. TBH I am glad I didn't need to go through 20-30 vapes to find the right one. That would have been extremely frustrating!

Alright, point taken. I'll do some more research on the Flowerpot. Hopefully I'll find one in Canada maybe...

To be honest with you all, I'm not opposed to Ti. But so far, aside from my Ti Nail on the end of my Gear "Dabmolisher" Nectar Collector. All other Ti Nails have imparted some taste, which is why I prefer Quartz in general and why I was preferring the VapeXhale EVO Cloud ☁.

Anyone tried both and can attest to the lack of imparted flavour by the Ti on the Flowerpot?

Thanks a lot!

With the flowerpot, the Ti from the heater/head has no influence on the flavor of the vapor to my palate. The nail that sits atop the Ti head can be quartz or SiC if you get the NV dishes, or if you get their d-nail WA head which gives you the option for SiC or Sapphire halo's.

Yeah the only vape that impressed my smoking friends was my Vriptech Heat Wand, so I know what you mean. But as much as I loved my VHW and the huge white hits it gave me, it's big downfall was that it was made out of Borosilicate Glass, which is pretty fragile not to mention it really wasn't efficient with small loads... Compared to the Arizer Solo, it's performance was terrible...

On their website they have a bundle including everything needed plus much more!
The real deal is they give both the Showerhead and Wrap Around...

The only thing that has me undecided is that the bundle comes with it's own controller/e-nail, but you're mentioning another brand "Auber" and I keep hearing about the Hex-Nail.

So I'm wondering if I should maybe get the bundle and later upgrade for an "Hex-Nail" (300$US+ shipping to Canada), an "Auber" which I know nothing about, or a brand I could get in Canada easily, a "High Five" and for 160-240$CAD.

To my Canadian buddy: How quick did you get your order and any problems at Customs?

Thanks a bunch!

P.S: What about the similar devices like Sublimator/Errlectric Herbnail/Herborizer TI/D-Nail Lotus...
How would they stack up against the NewVape Flowerpot?

I totaly agree and I find à titane signature in the flowerpot.

You should take à look at the Herborizer, but its very fragile.

I think American dont love it because of the expansive cost and taxes and because its not usa made. And because they are not AWARE

For the others you mentioned, Errlectric, Sublimator, the cost is too high for me to bare. They look bad ass and if that's what you dig, go for it. The Herborizer/RooR Vapor/Glass Symphony, they look awesome and you should look at them, but if you're a butter fingers like me, ya know. Glass ain't our best friend.

I think for the enail, it doesn't matter too much. High 5 has its own pin layout and you're stuck buying coils from them. Same for the NewVape controller. The Hex Nail, Kube and other high end controllers seem like luxuries. I got the Auber on the suggestion of many members here. I got it because it has an auto off, has a dual rather than buttons, and a white LED rather than red. My choices were primarily aesthetic. The pin layout also means you can buy coils from multiple sources. If you opt for the NewVape bundle you'll be happy as many here have been. The controller and coil are fine, if they die or you want to expand then look at the luxury controller.

So far no big issues with shipping. Sometimes I get dinged with a customs fee of up to 25 bucks depending on the size of the purchase. I've shipped new and previously loved get ups across the border no problem.

I think you got a lot of good advice already, and if you do buy a FlowerPot make sure you look at the Wrap-Around and D-Nail compatible Wrap-Around if you prefer Quartz/SiC/etc. to dabbing off of Ti.

The standard WA should be fine and the dishes are a lot cheaper, but the finish of the dishes (which are imports from TAG) is not as nice as the D-Nail dishes. Oh, and the TAG dishes aren’t as wide. Plenty of people still use them happily, so don’t think they’re no good!

If you do decide to try the D-Nail compatible Wrap-Around, you’ll find it in the FlowerPot Parts section of NewVape.com - don’t think it’s gone just because it’s not on the main page. Regular WA and ShowerHead (which is what I use) are right up front though. :)

If you’re interested in any of them, the FP thread here does have a lot of good info. If you decide on something else, I hear the EVO and the Herborizer are also great and I doubt you’d be disappointed, but from my experience and from listening to a lot of other people, the NewVape FlowerPot is a strong contender for “the best” for most people who have tried it, especially if you want it to do both flower and concentrates well.

Plus it’s nearly indestructible which sounds like a real plus in your situation. ;)

What's the difference between the normal WA and the D-Nail WA?
Is it that it wouldn't work with the Controller in their bundle?
Is D-Nail a brand or a "Standard"(like the type of plug or something?) ?

Sorry I'm new to anything e-nail so I don't know much...

Right now, if it would be in stock, I'd probably be getting their Bundle. It's got everything I need + glass piece, female and male bowl, both the Showerhead and Wrap Around, custom made case for everything, the nice ashtray, a grinder, carb cap and I forget some...for 600$

I guess my most important question would be; if I get their PID and regular Wrap-around and for some reason, in the future I decide to get a Hex-Nail PID, or any other PID with "normal" D-Nail connection, all I'd need to change would be the PID and heater cable, or would the Showerhead and Wrap Around I'd have not be compatible with the D-Nail Heater?

Thanks a lot for all the info!
Will be getting one as soon as they get them back in stock :)
Can't Wait to see how it compares to the VHW 3.0...

D-Nail does sell controllers and coils, but the WA difference is only related to the concentrate dishes they sell.

NewVape sells fairly small but definitely usable imported dishes and a standard Wrap-Around to fit them. D-Nail sells larger dishes with a better finish (rounded corners I believe, less imperfections, more materials available, etc.) but they cost a lot more.

If you want the D-Nail dishes, since they’re a different size NewVape offers a separate WA that fits them.

If you want to buy the bundle but you want to go with D-Nail dishes, contact NV and I’m sure they’ll switch the parts out for you. If you want the NV WA with the dishes they sell, you can buy the bundle as is.

As for coils, as long as you get a 20mm barrel coil (not a flat coil that looks more like a donut/cinnamon roll from the top) you can use any brand you want. The only potential issue is that the sizes are all slightly different so some may be loose and not heat the FP as efficiently.

If you do buy another controller in the future, just check the FP thread and see what others have had success with and you should be fine. Obviously the coil NewVape sells fits very well. :)

@VaporWare alright got ya!
Is it just to have a bigger dish? Is the basic dish too small, or is it to accommodate bigger dabs?

Also, wouldn't a bigger dish make heat retention harder to maintain?

Would you say the D-Nail dish(es) is a worthwhile upgrade?

As you can see, I'm pretty much sure to get the Flowerpot now. All my questions are pretty much just to iron out what I need and what I should get...

I'm a medical user in Canada, so I wanna make sure that I get the best and everything I might need because shipping is probably not gonna be free hehe

My goal with this purchase is to be able to save money on my medication. I'm unable to work at the moment so with the Flowerpot I'm hoping to reduce the quantity of Concentrates and Flowers I use each month to something I can actually afford...

Last month, I purchased 11g of Shatter, 3.5g of "Full" Melt Hash, 2g of The Clear and an Oz and a half.
Being deprived of all my vaporizers, the Concentrates were the first to go...Now all I have left is <1g of "Full" Melt Hash and <1 Oz...
All of that was a good bit over 600-700$.

And since I'm unable to work and still rejected by disability, I am on Welfare, so I live with less than 800$/month.

I'm just happy I found a vaporizer that's pretty much unbreakable, aside from the Coil, which is cheap enough. But most of all, it's to have found something that can Whitewall any glass piece, kinda like my Vriptech Heat Wand, but without needing 0.2-0.5g for 2 big hits and 1 small one. That way I won't miss those huge vapor hits, and I'll be able to use really small amounts (<0.15g) and still get the same results, if not better...

I'm hoping that having Temperature Control will help me save a ton on Concentrates.
Right now I use a Nectar Collector with a Ti Nail and when doing big dabs, I'm forced to use it at quite high temps since the nail is thin and hollow abd doesn't keep its temperature long enough if trying to take low temp dabs...

Thanks a lot!

You would be amazed at how well the d-nail halo retains heat when it is backed by the massive heater that is the NewVape WA head.

I personally would not choose the TAG dish WA head that NewVape sells, and just spend the extra money on the d-nail setup with NV halo WA head, d-nail sic halo with the d-nail universal carb cap. You will have a 2 for 1 in that situation as you have the halo for tip-top dabbing, and a great flower vape below.

I dont vape a whole lot of flowers now a days. If situations were reversed, and I was vaping flowers primarily, I'd be getting the Shower Head set and a 20mm quartz banger to hit concentrates off of in the rare event I would want to.

If we're talking about best bang for your buck, that's it IMO. Shouldn't need replacement unless these companys decide to come out with something better :2c:

If you go through a half ounce of wax a month I would certainly consider the D nail wrap around.
The idea is to reduce the amount of concentrates i use per month ...In any case the bundle comes with both showerheads and wraparound

@VaporWare would you say that the D-Nail dishes would allow bigger dabs?
Or does the bigger size makes heat retention harder to maintain?

In other words, do you think it's a worthwhile upgrade? Any Pro's and Con's?

Basically, being in Canada, being a Medical User and not being able to work right now and this would be my 3rd biggest investment to date (in 28 years on this earth), so I'd like to get everything I need AND Might need in the future since I don't make much money and I'd like to save on Shipping since I'm pretty sure that shipping to Canada is gonna be a substantial amount of money too...

The goal is to be able to save on Concentrates and Flowers so that I can actually afford the Cannabis I need Monthly...

Last Month I ordered 11g of Shatter + 1 Oz and 1/2 Oz, totalling well over 600$. All the Shatter is gone and I have maybe 1g of "Full" Melt and <1 Oz of Flowers left.
So it's not possible for me to continue like this. Especially when you consider I live on less than 800$/month...

So it's imperative that I get a better and more efficient extraction of my Concentrates (Temp. Control should help quite a bit I hope) and of my Flowers. Which, from the videos I've seen, the Flowerpot seems to have the capacity to Whitewall my glass pieces just like my VHW3.0 did, but with the efficiency of my Arizer Solo...

What I mean by this is that I needed anywhere from 0.2g to 0.5g to get these kinda hits on my Vriptech Heat Wand, but in the videos they all use <0.15g (kinda like a Solo) and get the same kind of results, or better, than the VHW3.0...

As you can see, I pretty much did my research and I can't see myself going with anything Other than the Flowerpot.
All my questions are pretty much just to settle which options and to make sure that I'm making the right choice.
Just wanted to add that the bundle comes with:
