Vaponic Herbal Vaporizer

Abysmal Vapor

Supersniffer 2000 - robot fart detection device
Hi, is it worth buying an alcohol lamp just for this purpose? I'd probably knock it over :)
Alcohol lamps are dirt cheap, i have made one using a salt shaker and some alufoil foil and some cotton rolled to a wick. It is worth it having one. 2$ shipped at aliexpress.
Temp of buring alcohol is much lower than butane flame . Depending on flame size and distance you can vary between 400C-800C and also heat larger area than a torch flame :).

The flame temperature distribution at different heights of the alcohol burner. The abscissa denotes the vertical height relative to the flame nozzle and the ordinate denotes the corresponding temperature of the symmetrical core of the flame.

Anyone know the difference between the Vaponic and the Vaponic Plus? (Besides 20 bux)

@Chiron answered your answer perfectly, but I would like to add that the wooden shell is more user friendly than only the basic version. You can lay the Vaponic plus easy on a table and the chance of burn marks is minimised thanks to the wooden shell. The plus is recommended for clumsy people like me.

@Helios there are certainly similarities between the Vaponic and the VC: the way to heat it and both are perfect for microdosing. There are also similarities in the design, but I don't have the expertise to tell you about that.

The biggest difference between the two is maybe both a pro and a con: the vaponic is arguably more versatile. The Vaponic doesn't click and therefore it was more difficult for me to find the "Goldilocks zone" for good vapor. But after reading the manual multiple times, reading this thread and watching some instruction videos I found the right technique. The other side of the same coin: the lack of a click gives you the freedom to experiment! I can sit down for a long, tasty low temperature late night session, or rip the shit out of it in one-three inhalations.

So sometime next week I'll be the proud owner of a Vaponic. And it was folks on the Dynavap thread that coaxed me into it.

I've wanted an all-glass vaporizer for a bit now-and this one has the best reviews of anything I've looked at so far.

^ So I guess it's pointless to ask whether or not you went for the wooden case then, EH?
Dammit, VAS snags another hapless fella(s).

I went sans wood. I'd read too many things about wood particles getting into the Vaponic itself. I've already got a safe spot for it picked out, and a glass ashtray to hold it when it's hot from use. And it was cheaper-which is always a consideration for me.

Yeah, I thought I had my VAS conquered too-but then-well Fuck Combustion indeed.

I'd read too many things about wood particles getting into the Vaponic itself.

I've only seen one person post about this happening but for the life of me haven't figured out how particles of wood could pass through glass and get into a vaponic (you'll see why i say this when you get yours) and suspect what was being seen were little specks of herb and not wood.

There's no way this is a real "problem" of any kind.

I've given 3 vaponic plus models away this year and use one of my own 4-5 times a week and have yet to see so much as a fleck of wood come off the casing of a plus.

Good to know. If I like the Vaponic the way I think I will I'll order an Plus in another month or so. Or wait for a sale. I believe in redundancy when it comes to glass.

Thanks for the tip! Also agree on most points with @Dutch-Mic . I haven't really tried the long extracting route yet :ko:Gotta say I really like this vape even if I can't say that I have mastered it (only got it for two weeks now and been mostly using my sticky brick).Better quality vape and faster than dynavap m ,which is easier to use(with a bong, too) and more durable for sure.I would get a plus but mostly to avoid breaking,in my experience it doesn't heat that much if a little careful. So,I think of getting a vapman first and then maybe get a plus ,too.
@Abysmal Vapor Thanks for the tip on the lamp!

That one person was me. The particles came from the wooden part with the clip on it (I'm certain it wasn't herb) and fell through the mouthpiece in the airpath. The vapor even tasted woody. If I pushed the Vaponic through the middle part, tiny wood particles were visible on the mouthpiece, which made me think at first that the middle part was the reason for the little particles in the airpath.

As far as I know I was the only one having that strange experience (the manufacturer was also supprised) and the version I now own doesn't have that problem.

I hope my other posts make clear that I'm not worried about wood particles anymore and that the Vaponic+ is a favourite of mine. I would buy definitely buy a plus again, so I hope that helps you with your decision to buy a plus @beyond6strings.

Thanks for this. I'm not sure I'll need the Plus. But will certainly consider it if I like the Vaponic. I don't see this as something that will leave the house often, if at all. That's really what my Dynavap M is for, or my 510 cartridges that I really prefer when I need to be most discrete when out and about or before a gig.

Mostly I'm looking forward to the taste that all glass vapor path provides, and I've got a safe spot for it in a Vap Station I have and a glass ashtray to hold it when it's hot.

Getting some Fruity Pebbles, Grand Daddy Purple, and Sherbert I can't wait to taste in the Vaponic.

Cheers,

While heating this vape and beginning to turn the load brown, can you see vapor expanding from the load with the potential to touch the surface that you're heating?
I know some compact butane vape designs that employ part conduction are like this.
When I saw the Vaponic cleaning video it showed that you could expect grime inside the larger tube.

The Vaponic is basically two glass tubes. One glass tube has a screen with the flower or concentrate in it and is held inside the outer glass tube which is heated. So the flame never touches the part of the vaporizer where the flower is held. I think that's why the flavor of this device is considered so good-it's almost pure convection.

The grime in the outer tube is from the vapor being inhaled leaving some reclaim on the inside of the outer tube.

Like probably many of you, a love for butane powered vaporizers brought me here, and for the love of cosmic beauty, I am so glad that I am here. I own VAPONIC + for about four months now and I really feel that everybody with love for butane vapes should own one. You can't lose with this one, because after a little practice, this is the purest, the tastiest, the smoothest vape that I ever tried, and the high road that it sends you to is an amazing journey.

Simple and easy to use, reaching for it more and more, slowly becoming my most used vape.
Great design with a tool inside and changing lids for heating and inhaling. Easy to clean and very portable. What else could you want?

I am so glad that Vaponic sparked some more interest lately, it definitely deserves more love.

Today I went out with Vaponic, and somebody joined the party :)

Thanks for addressing my question @beyond6strings I think of all the butane vapes I like the design of the Elev8r the most, and they come with a quartz heater soon, but it might be quite like my (already great!) SSV so I'm not in a hurry to get it.
I could postpone the idea and pick up the all glass path for the SSV instead.
Perhaps I had a notion that Vaponic would be the same as Elev8r, but use the smaller torches.
I should probably just carry on as I was!

Hope you have fun with your new purchase, I have to check your guitar vids soon.
Enjoy your weekend, cheers!

Nice pictures @hujdimislav great job, looks like you enjoyed the day!

Glass Blower
Remember ideally when the vaponic is cooling you wouldnt have it touch any surface (mention of the glass ashtray). Ideally it would be stood hot end upright but resting so the hot glass is not in contact with anything is fine, i use a bottlecap most days.

And just to say whats ive already said about how good this vape is. So smooth! Bigger smoother hits than even my nano though a small water piece! Love it

Is someone able to compare the Vaponic with the Vapman or Lotus?
I own both and a sticky brick and dynavap, wondering if this unit would add something new to my available methods :D

Elev8r and vaponic are currently my preferred vapes. The vaponic for hash and microdosing and the elv8r for very pure and tasty 100% convection hits (with a big bowl if needed). Used correctly, the vaponic can consistently deliver nice and big clouds but is no match for the elev8r (which needs a really large torch though). During daytime, the elev8r is too strong for me as I usually pack too much in it ;)

I own both the Vaponic Plus and the Vapman, and I was thinking about how I could compare the two awesome but strikingly different butane vapes. It's very difficult for me, but here it goes:

Similarities:

- flame powered.
- no clear heat indicator like the click from the Vapcap.
- Arguably both suited for microdosing.
- Fairly easy to clean.
- Suited for herbs, resins and concentrates.
- Both are manufactured in Europe.
- FC members seem to praise the taste from both vapes.
- Both are a bit delicate, but in their own way (Vaponic is made from glass and therefore breaking it is a risk. Some people mention that the pan of the Vapman can get loose after a while (don't know after how much time that could occur)).
- Both are relatively inexpensive compared to battery powered high - end vapes.

Differences

- Vaponic combines convection and conduction, Vapman is conduction.
- In my opinion the taste of the Vaponic is better due to the glass airpath, but again that's my opinion.
- It could be a technique issue, but the vapor from the Vapman is warmer and a bit harsh on my throat if I want clouds.
- I can use my triple and single torch for the Vaponic and only the single torch for the Vapman.
- There's a heating station available for the Vapman, but there's no such (official) alternative for the Vaponic.
- In my experience the Vapman hits a bit harder than the Vaponic.
- For me it's easier to deep clean the Vaponic (glass and a stainless steel filter) than the Vapman (wood, copper and POM plastic or wooden mouthpiece).

It's not a very systematic comparison and a lot of the above points are highly subjective. Both are awesome (niche?) vaporizers, so the question is rather what type of vape you are looking for. I'm glad that I own both

Thanks @Dutch-Mic, this a great comparision!
Interesting you state that the vapman is hotter and harsher, I might pick up a vaponic.
As for the vapman, if you get the long wooden stem of the MFLB it really helps to cool the vapour of the vapman.

If you had to choose, what would it be?
