received this morning the badboy is on its charging mission now, first impressions:

why the fuck doesn't a £265 device come pre charged?
much smaller than i imagined
feels and looks lovely
working out how to even open the thing is counter intuitive, it looks like the latch should pop up or press but its slides (and is hard to do)
using crucibles is no problem at all for my fingers

will follow up with usage thisevening

Hmmm, having to hold the vape button still seems easier with the silicone tube setup...:
I’d like to try it but am still unsure a water piece will ever be worth the hassle (for myself...)

Gotta hand it to Pete, tho, he sure is Sneaky...!

Seems to me ghost could create a mouth piece assembly that is water filtration and interchangeable.

Or just how sneaky is pete?

Dunno, but this was Ghost’s response to Pete’s adapter on VLF:

Hi xxxxxx
We don't currently have plans for any adapters for water pipes as one of the main reasons to use one - to cool the vapor - isn't a consideration for the MV1 which (at the risk of repeating something that's been said a hundred times around here) cools the vapor using the heatsink.

Also just a word of caution to anyone using one of these - any accidental backwards flow of water into the device will almost certainly kill the MV1 instantly and water damage in/to the oven is not covered under warranty!

Thanks

Along with their response to Pete explaining (and I paraphrase) that people want and enjoy water regardless...

Hi xxxx

(Edited content)

Likewise @Sneaky Pete Vaporizers, not saying anything negative about the product itself at all - you've got a lot of fans here at Ghost. Anything's possible; you wouldn't think anyone would tuck their vape into their wetsuit and go surfing either, but it's happened...

Thanks

The latch will “loosen” up as well and become easier to open.

Water filtration does more than cooling if you ask me. It conditions the vapor with moisture perhaps, and the vapor is just different.

I'll run vapor through a frozen heat exchanger with my evo. It's great, menthol cold! But it's not the same or better or worse than the same hit through water.

I'd be all for a water adapter for the MV1.

I just don't think a battery powered unit is the best for silicone tubing adaptions

Team NO SLEEP!
So the GHOST is the best portable in life?

It's the HOLY GRAIL?

How about 4 medical use?

Maybe MEDICAL is not PC?
It really is superb. In many ways, I like it more than my minivap, in a few ways the minivap edges out the ghost...

Frankly I think you would LOVE using the device and the punch of vapor quality. It really is second to none for a portable.

BUT, and a big BUT, the whole crucible thing is fiddle-some and I'd see you getting really fed up with loading/unloading and cleaning. I can't imagine how difficult this device might be with shaking hands, I don't think I'd be able to load a crucible without dropping the lid (which does not latch nor clip on) and spilling material.

I've been using a SOLO since it's inception.
The GLASS on my lips were the selling point 4 me.

I'm looking 4 the HOLY GRAIL of portables and I was going to get da GHOST.

The MINIVAPE I use at night.

This may be but does a 5 year warranty for a $300 (ok, $400+ easy now...) device with a pretty chill company that will bend over backwards to try and make you happy sound reasonable? Do you own a backup?
I see your point but I am more concerned that the company is sending out a reliable product than any warranty. Im international so a lot of broken vapes go straight in the trash rather than risk sending a used vaporizer back to the USA.

And I totally see your point, as well, which is why I posed the question(s)...

All I can tell you is my story:

I believe my first device was around #650 purchased in September... my first real “modern” flower vape since purchasing an MFLB almost 10 years prior and when I finally decided to completely fuck combustion. I was quickly made an iOS Beta tester on VLF. Sometime in Nov (?) I tried to install a firmware revision and my device failed to connect to Bluetooth but still worked fine without it... they replaced it with my current “perfectly” (wtf that means... ;)) working device... I was also gifted one (the satin silver) by a friend over Xmas but I’ve only used that one to see if it performed the same as the others... it did. I also grabbed an M on Black Friday and both are now my daily drivers.

That’s all I got, man...

TMI...? Ha, sorry.

Here you go:
MivLtNe.jpg

68 full heat cycles on factory level 5 (428?) on a full charge til death... 9.5 crucibles of my worst leftovers and shwaggy free homie... don’t believe what the meters say... in the app or on the device.

Edit: and there could be a few more cuz I made it a point to only jot it down right when the hit was complete...

Aha! I remember doing that like a million times lol, I enjoyed the stress testing. No need though really anymore. I really did beat that thing to death or tried to at least. Ghost made a solid device. Heating element never quit. Cycling batteries makes sure it never dies.

I’ve been using the device like a normal person over the last few weeks and it’s still stellar.

Those new heat sink assemblies I believe are still being tweaked right now. They are coming with all the new units currently. For existing users not much longer.

Those satin colors are matte-like, I saw a few pages back people were asking about them. They are like.. kinda like satin matte wallplates for wallbox dimmers. Definitely less noticeable with the scratches. Not finger print magnets at all.

Yep, and I remember you guys doing them so I didn’t have to... but fast forward to now and I’m pretty much the only one left here to defend claims like this:

The ghost is my favourite vape. The CS has been very impressive. When I cleaned the whole heat sink mp in iso causing it to get loose and fall out they sent me a new one.
They also have been beyond responsive with my other issue. The battery. They sent me a second unit and 6 batteries. I sent 3 batteries and one ghost back but all the batteries and the ghosts
acted the same. 35 draws till dead red I think once I might have got too the high 40's.

I persued the problem until a CS guy virtually said he did not believe me. I lost interest in the problem since I was happy with the ghost and with three batteries it suits me great. However I read in the VLF that somebody was getting about 50 draws and that was considered persuable problem.

Mine goes from 3 lights to 2 at 12 draws
2 lights to one at about 16 and flashing green at about 21 and dead at 35.

I charge it after 3 crucibles about 24 draws A load is completely spent at 7 draws with last two at level 5. Ghost always has wonderful controllable extraction.

The only drawback this problem creates is I could not sell my mv1.

But wtf bother, right? Posts of cannabis products and rap videos will always be much more appreciated...
