Ghost sent me a new battery in an attempted fix of my unit. The new battery seemed to work at first as I got some green lights back. But that was only momentary. The unit just flashes red lights again. I never got a draw with the new battery.
Speaking with Ghost, they said they would send me a different colored unit now or my color in July when new production units come out.
I replied that I didnt care about color but that I would wait until July if the new units then were the latest and greatest and the least likely to have issues or bugs. Dealing with bugs and problems takes the fun out of using their product and I didnt want to play this game anymore.
Ghost wrote back and said they would send me a new unit in July.
This is probably the last time I buy a brand new product that has not been tested by others first... Excited for July though!

I'm assuming the units in July will have the new mp assembly so it was good you waited. You, me & 1000 others won't ever be 1st time adopters again. Even the Tera & Haze Square have release issues. So glad I didn't jump in on the Haze, but admittedly, I thought about it.

I checked out the Haze after reading this. It seems cool, love the 4 bowls, and there's a pre order still.. ..
But any temptation to purchase, like you it appears, is quickly quelled by my MV1 experience so far.
Don't get me wrong, the MV1 customer reps are good, seem busy and not into a routine, and make up for any negatives by eventually getting it done and not charging me any money to do so.

The Haze Square looks real nice for an out & about convection vape, but not until they correct the kinks. For me, I'd wait anywhere from 2 - 4 months to hear a broad spectrum of reviews. Fool me once ...

The more I use other vapes the more I think this is the best you can buy. So long as you’re OK dealing with crucibles and the heatsink, I don’t see how someone could not like it.

I have a new sink/mouthpiece assembly and I much prefer the glass mouthpiece and the older harder black seal. I have no idea if what I have is what will be shipping or if it’s just a future “option”.
I’d be a 1st time adopter again, it is/was a total blast. I’ve used 3 devices since September and all 3 have been pretty much the same except for one lost Bluetooth connectivity and was replaced. All 3 units have performed very predictably and reliably... I find it hard not to think that the vast majority of the variability, “finickiness” and inconsistency lies mostly in the users themselves... (but don’t ever tell them that
)Zero regrets... I actually feel very fortunate.

Like I said, I have no idea what my current iteration of the mp/sink assembly is... all I know is I’m not a fan of the clear acrylic mp I received (but it was cool that I could sand the lip down easily to attach the silicone hose that came with Sneaky Pete’s globe bubbler) or the mushier fatter black seal or the way they work together... the sink, sleeve and cap seem unchanged.
“Learning curve”...? Excuse phrase (no offense), imo... I got nice clouds on my first crucible.

I received two of the new heat sink (HS) assemblies and just tried one out last night for the first time. I wasn't overly eager to do this as my OG HS worked perfectly fine.
It is indeed a better more "ham handed owner proof" design. Yes, the new MP is some sort of acrylic or the like while I prefer glass. But I do remember when the device first issued that there were a lot of complaints and bitching about dropped and broken glass MPs so...its always a trade off.
But I didn't mind the new MP either. Was neutral and that's what I really want, right?
I ran on L3 for the first half of the bowl and do believe that the vapor density with the new HS was a bit greater. But it was also a newly charged battery and given the changes in performance with battery discharge level its really hard to make A vs B comparisons. Probably shouldn't have gone to L5 until the second load on the battery.
I was pretty high at the time and feeling impatient so I bumped right up to L5 and it got right thick there for a bit. But I also charred my flower and that had NEVER happened before with this unit and the OG HS. So yes, I do think its sealed a bit better.
I have been enjoying my MV-1's and while I still really don't like those #*%^& crucibles (and man, those things stay hot for a while after dumping into an ashtray), mine are working perfectly fine and are very efficient with my flower, IMO.

When mine was working great, crucibles trying to burn my fingers, as well as clogged crucible lids, as well as over heating from back to back sessions were gripes for me too...
I would love to see a MV2 with a much larger crucible, maybe with a spacer for smaller loads. A ceramic lid I think would not clog as much either (i made one and it didnt clog but it didnt seal).
If they could get a MV2 to be a convection session vape (15 - 20 hits), rather than a 5-7 hitter per crucible, that could be pretty nice for guys and gals that are currently burning fingers

?) I use a clean lid with every fresh crucible (I have 16)... that makes them never be a problem. I do back to back crucibles and I pretty much never overheat, and if it did happen in the past it was only when using concentrates... which I rarely use the device for now anyway. You should be able to get more than 5-7 hits if you really want that. But I generally get around there cuz I don’t always pack too tight and I usually stay on factory 5. Very resinous weed packed tighter than usual can yield 10-15 hits temp stepping with a stir easily. I find session vapes more useful for group situations only... which is generally pretty rare. I can’t stand being timed especially alone. To me this beats a desktop at home cuz I can’t leave one out all the time (kids) and I can take it all around easily. No one active (other than “enthusiasts” like many here) with a family or big dogs etc wants to leave a plug in desktop or the science project that often goes with it out and screw having to set something up everytime... You’d be surprised how many crucibles you can quickly and easily go thru with the dispenser(s) loaded and ready to go... will it ever be a party vape as is...? Nope. Not a chance. I’ll buy one of those if I want one.Not trying to be argumentative here at all, but much of what you posted, I simply do not agree with... which of course is ok, too!

I also find myself often reaching for easier to load/unload vapes. But the experience of actually vaping the MV-1 is very, very nice.
To be clear, I have never driven an MV-1 into overheat condition. Yeah, I charred a bit of the load, as mentioned above, for the first time but the device never went into over temp shutdown.

The ghost is my favourite vape. The CS has been very impressive. When I cleaned the whole heat sink mp in iso causing it to get loose and fall out they sent me a new one.
They also have been beyond responsive with my other issue. The battery. They sent me a second unit and 6 batteries. I sent 3 batteries and one ghost back but all the batteries and the ghosts
acted the same. 35 draws till dead red I think once I might have got too the high 40's.
I persued the problem until a CS guy virtually said he did not believe me. I lost interest in the problem since I was happy with the ghost and with three batteries it suits me great. However I read in the VLF that somebody was getting about 50 draws and that was considered persuable problem.
Mine goes from 3 lights to 2 at 12 draws
2 lights to one at about 16 and flashing green at about 21 and dead at 35.
I charge it after 3 crucibles about 24 draws A load is completely spent at 7 draws with last two at level 5. Ghost always has wonderful controllable extraction.
The only drawback this problem creates is I could not sell my mv1.

Does your color happen to be matte black?
That would completely change the game for me, because then it would look cool instead of tacky.

@above: Don't get wrong, it's a good vaporizer. It just is buggy for some, overheats for others, broken for me, could use a battery that powered it at the same voltage throughout the charge, and it would be nice if the crucible was easier to use.
I too have a crucible holder, but prepacking a whole bunch of crucibles is still a bit of work. Putting them in the crucible holder, then taking them out again adds extra work too. Removing crucibles too quickly is quasi dangerous because they are damn hot. My unit when it worked over heated often which is annoying.
That all said, I'm still excited to get a new unit in July!

I have a satin silver that’s pretty matte and at least not as flashy as the others, imo... I use my black chrome mostly just cuz it’s older and more worked in/beat up, like a catcher’s mitt... the satin silver looks like an electric razor or more medical device-y to me... I really am looking forward to the new finishes and hopefully a much more improved crappy rubber coating or just something else entirely... hate it.

I think all the current colors will have a matte version. There was a post on VapeLife that had pictures of them from CHAMPS.
