yo

you have to take a class for a mmj card? what exactly does it entail lol

In NJ, if your doctor isn't registered with the state to prescribe MMJ (most aren't and I know mine would not write me a script) you can go to a doctor registered with the state program. You go to the doctor for 4 visits, the first one the tell you if you qualify or not, and the second was an education class on cannabis. Just taught about different cannabinoids and how they help different ailments, methods of consumption, infusing your own coconut oil etc. I knew 99% of the information as I have been using cannabis for 11 years or so, but it was interesting seeing the people who had no experience with cannabis and their questions about it.

it is a though question... do you want a portable or a desktop first of all... I did not have a mighty but owned a crafty which should be performancewise the same... I had a volcano too... but as I am a cloud chaser and like to microdose for those puposes I l8ve the flowerpot showerhead... the volcano bowl is big you have at least to use 0.25 g... if you are looking for big dense clouds and microdosing... I would suggest you the flowerpot... I also find the clouds from volcano whispy in comparisson to other newer vapes (at 6.5 on the classic) if you up the temps to 8 or 9 you will get better clouds but the vapor was very harsh for me... I also did not like my crafty and sold it too... it did not taste as good as I wanted it and also crafty mighty is a session vape and when you are not hitting it it will cook you herb... also to much plastic for my taste...

Biggest thing is do you need something portable or are you using mostly at home? If mostly at home, I would say the volcano all the way

Mostly always at home, however what will the neighbours think if they see me inhaling vapour out of a balloon or even more the kids. They don't question my solo as it looks a bit like a normal e cig vape. But if I bust a balloon out there gonna be asking questions lol.

So it would have to be limited to indoors after 8pm and then the Mrs might moan that its noisy? With cracking of the balloon

The mighty may be better for you than discretion wise, although the mighty is still a larger hand held vape. The volcano can be a bit noisy filling the bags up, I usually pause whatever I am watching while I fill a bag then restart once the bag is full and enjoy my bag of vapor while I watch my show. Loooove my volcano for home, and just got the pax 3 for my portable because if its small footprint and has a good warranty

Is the volcano annoying with the noise of the bags while watching television and does it give good vapour?

Since my fiance and I use it together we don't get bothered by it, but the crinkling of the bags can be kind of loud so someone not using it may get annoyed...I love the vapor it produces, you can get some thick vapor if you go about 7 on the classic or thinner vapor around 6. I like it better than most other vapes I have tried because of how much cooler the vapor is. Since it goes into a bag and then you inhale from the bag, it is much cooler than drawing straight off the heat source like most vapes

to be honest there are vaporizers which give better vapor especially regarding cloud density... the air to vapor ratio is to high for me... and if you crank the volcano up the vapor is better but too harsh... I loaded 0.25g maybe if you load more in the volcano bowl you will get better vapor but then the volcano would be not efficient (for me) and my herb consumption would be higher...... do not know how good the new dosing caps are... if you are not a cloud chaser you will maybe like the volcano... to be honest there are far more better vapes then what storz and bickl sell nowadays...
to put it in perspective: I owned (own): volcano, e-nano, Heat Island log vape, iolite, solo, lotus, crafty, milaana, sticky bricks, firewood 3, pax, dynavap m, cera, vapman, grasshopper, flowerpot showerhead (best vape I ever had)

Agreed it is not the most efficient vaporizer, if you are looking for efficiency there are definitely other good options. I generally just grind and throw an amount of cannabis in the chamber to cover the screen, I haven't measured but I probably put .3-.4 in the chamber and get about 4 bags from it. The 4th bag is usually a bit harsh when I have it around the 8 heat setting, but not much harsher than halfway through a pack from my old vaporbros or LSV.

Volcano is definitely a good product, but there are definitely plenty of vapes that are better in certain situations, all depends on what you need

@dave123

to be honest I had a volcano 4 years ago and thought a nice baloon vape like the volcano is what I am missing nowadays in my vape arsenal... watched all volcano youtube videos because I was not sure about the vapor production... read a lot of reviews and so on... then I went to buy one... in my headshop they only had one which was sitting in the window (package was open)... I bought it went home and was totaly not impressed by the vapor production (thin vapor) and it also stinked/tasted like plastic (maybe because it was sitting in the window)... so I went to the headshop and told them that it tastes like plastic (did a burnoff on 9 several times - did not help) and thankfully they took it back...

Sounds like you answered your own question. I have both and it sounds like you would favor the Mighty.

Yeah your right, I went with the Mighty!

I think my original thought was I really wanted to try the Volcano and was dead set on it until I started looking at other vapes.

I think ive definitely made the right choice with the Mighty. Storz and Bickel is what I wanted so good compromise in the end.

I say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. In my case my dumpster found classic volcano has given up the ghost. Bad (low)temps and very very slow to fill a bag.

Sent my unit to S&B they offered me a new unit for $180.00 off the retail.

I got a call from them. Payed ‘em and now I have a new unit comming.

The way I use the volcano it is very efficient. I usually put in 50 to 100 mg.
Fill a single bag once and save the abc.

Two important volcano use points.
One too much herbs makes for a harsh bag.
Two. Too high a temp makes for a harsh bag.
So use less and find the right temp for you.

I use between 25 and 50 milligram of flower temp setvbetween 12:00 and 12:30.

Too hot = too harsh.
I get one load and refill I do not vape herbs 2x save abv for edibles

I am in a limited medical state, I can only buy whole flower in ceramic pods that you can use in volcano type vapes. I have been looking for a large easy valve chamber or adapter that is bigger then the standard one. If anyone knows where to get them please let me know. Thanks.
There may be enough material on the “normal” unit to machine away some material making the adapter comparable with your ceramic pods. Why not just but the s and b kit with pods and an easy way to fill them. Are you saying that pre filled ceramic pods are the only form of flower you can get??

I received my replacement volcano today.
It replaced a volcano which was just worn out.
I think my old unit was not as nice looking as the new one..

Ok so does anybody out here use their voice to control the on or off function?

I use An Alexa controllable power socket.

I can ask Alexa to turn on my volcano and 5-10 minutes later it’s ready to go!!

What’s really cool is that I can turn it on from anywhere. So when I’m 15 away from home I can turn my volcano on and have it be ready by the time I get home..

Cool and easy.

This has got to be FL and the mess those asshats in their state government made of the democratically passed constitutional amendment. Morgan...keep suing these bitches!! :bang::rant::cuss::disgust::goon::worms:

I no longer lived in FL but did for many years. My thoughts on what to do with the ceramic pods:

Yeah this whole ceramic pod thing in FL is nuts. PA was also being weird only allowing concentrates and no flower but recently changed their minds on that, but they stated people cannot smoke the buds they have to vaporize them. I just don't understand putting stipulations on how people consume, people are going to consume the way that works best for them.

I am hoping NJ keeps getting their program revamped, I should be getting my card in the mail this week and would love more selection in concentrates and to see the flower price drop a bit

I've had my volcano for 4 months now and I have to say I'm really impressed by the vapor quality. I don't have any plastic taste at all!! I did buy the filling chamber reducer though, I like it much better this way.
I usually load about 0.15gr, which gives me 2 XL bags of excellent vapor.
I also purchased the mighty for outdoor vaping. Vapor quality might not be as good as the volcano, it's still really good. I just love Storz & Bickel products. I'm so happy I no longer have to smoke.

Just purchased my Volcano digital.
Very dense clouds on every single rip
I pack about half the chamber (easy valve) and get 5-5
I noticed that the best temps are from 380-400
What are your guys opinions on the temps and ways to pack the chamber?

Pretty much where you are...maybe .25 - .3 g of flower and my default temp is 385. If I do a flower/concentrate sandwich with dosing capsule, I run that sucker up as high as she will go.

All - the Volcano just doesn't get the love some of the new, hip, high tech, portables get but IMO this is a disservice and as med programs expand I believe that a huge demographic of non-rec using but now med patients will like a device like this.

On another board a member came inquiring about a vape for his very elderly grandmother and is worried about vapor sensitivity as she never smoked and is...well, elderly.

He bought a less expensive portable (vice my suggestion of a 'Cano) and they found the draw resistance and harshness to be too much. To me, this is a perfect application for a 'Cano as you can make bags wispy enough that she won't even know she's vaping.

At the same time, those flower/trate sandwiches and high temps turn it into a ripper.

No, I don't use it as a DD, but I have felt no desire whatsoever to sell it. I still love it.

This is my first post on FC so whats up!

So ive been combusting recreationally mostly through Js and blunts for years and last year bought my first vape, a Pax 3. Its cool and all, but ive still found myself going back to smoking. I find it annoying to clean and the draw resistance is a little too much for what i want.

So ive been researching and considering my next move. I ended up ordering a volcano yesterday. Im super excited, but also still researching and may return it.

I chose the volcano because it seems easy to clean and use and should get me pretty high. Others ive considered were the Mighty and the flowerpot(looks kinda complicated).

So im still open to any suggestions but i figure i cant go wrong with the volcano.

My girl doesnt like the smell of weed and doesnt want it in the house. Will the Cano smell bad to where i should probably keep it in the garage?

Sorry long post for nothing!
