Heya Shaolin,

Several people on here favour using a glass bowl instead of the Ti (page 373ish). There is a seperate thread for a group of people possibly doing a group buy on a custom glass set. (http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/flowerpot-showerhead-glass-bowl-from-ehle.26648/page-4)
I like the idea of glass but it will probably be $90CAD+ per bowl which is a bit steep for a product we haven't tried yet. Its a tough call though since you think "maybe I shouldn't order the starter kit, maybe just get the top part and skip the bowl"
But then you loose out on the shower carb cap, since its out of stock as a separate order, granted... you could probably live without that. Or just get the lolli.


For the time being, another suggestion is buy the double weave thread instead of the single weave as it will keep your water cleaner. It will need to be washed more often and can get damaged easier though.
Also.. degumming hemp... cloth..? I forget... helps make the seal better..?

Hello Everyone Happy 420!

Very impressed with this forum. Unfortunately, I just found it about two hours ago. And I will have to read the majority of this thread after my purchase. For the past week I have been doing lots of research on vaporizers in general and am now convinced to get a FP. As I am running on a deadline with a good sale today and am hoping to get some insight from this community.

I have both 14mm and 18mm glass that I used to combust with, but other than that, I'll need everything new.
Questions I am struggling to find answers to:
1.) Regarding the shovelheads, is there a combination that lets me use my both my 14mm and 18mm glass with one head or will I need to buy two? Or do I go with the 14/18mm female and get two different male to male adapters, I don't see those on Newvape?
2.) Though I don't want to take part of business away from NewVape, as the company seems great, are there better PID and coils that I should be looking into at similar price points?

This is a really big purchase for me but I think if I get the right rig I will be really happy with it. Being in Canada, I hope to avoid missing something small and needing to order a second shipment.

You can different size posts for the shovelhead bowl but I would just get the 14mm post and a 18-14mm stubby glass reducer.

I really like my Menovo pid from dhgate but you aren’t saving much money going that route and the Menovo is wired like the hi5 controllers.

I'm trying to not break the bank. $700 CAD with shipping for bundle is outside of my budget. Trying to get it closer to $500 CAD with shipping. I'm going to get the showerhead starter kit. What do I need now to also do fans and be able to do a double decker? What else should I add to improve the experience without breaking the bank? Thanks!

Nothing you’re good but I would recommend the same parts as above. Then you have a showerhead and a wraparound set up.

I was leaning towards that easy conclusion of getting a second coil and additional locking bits so that I could have two separate set ups. Hit the FP, then hit the WA without burning myself while having to switch them. If swapping them out is rather easy to do while hot, then maybe the extra cost is simply unnecessary aesthetic. I'd love to cut down the price, but I don't want the feeling of a... FP that isn't quite what I wish it would be.

I believe is the screw size... I looked at all the photos of each one and figured it out last night...

If you look at the pics... A 20mm dnail wrap around (the piece that holds the dish) has aa smaller screw (that screws into the nut).

For example the showerhead an regular wrap around have a wider screw...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... I'm only 2 weeks into enails.

I have a shower head on my 20mm coil and I have an of 16 mm setup..I purchased a wrap around 16 mm and a sic dish..I didn’t see a 16 mm coil cover..if it’s needed that sucks they wouldnt sell it..I wonder if I should change to 20 mm? I dunno what’s best

On the left you have dnail WA setup parts for 20mm coil 9174, 3075, 3061, on the right you have SH 3063, 3066. Coil cover 3061 is the only part that is interchangble between my two setups.

Yep. @psychonaut snapped some pics that cleared it up! Extra twenty bucks but still... showerhead and wraparound capabilities with most accessories a spare controller and coil all for a bit less than selling my beloved Zion. What a good exchange though... hopefully! Psyched to become part of the FP family.

These parts are built to last Even though I don't vape a whole lot of flowers now a days, it's nice to break out that SH to put things back into perspective

Oddly enough I was ready to buy today when I noticed shipping to Canada was $65. That's just a bit too much for shipping, that is nearly $100 CAD in shipping.

Such a shame, I was really looking forward to one of these.

It was a collab between Mikerphone brewing and Untitled Brewing they are out of WI and Il so I am not sure what the distro looked like,.I got a crowler so the shop got a keg.

Knowing what I do about it now, I would not care if it shipped from outer Mongolia with a 2 month shipping time and $200 fees. I would pay it, wait, and be super happy when it arrives!

Sadly they never got back to me to tell me that $65 was normal for shipping so I missed the sale. Maybe next time.

I have to agree myself. If I could use the FP and that was going to be my daily rig, I dont expect ANY shipping fee would keep us apart. However I can empathize with people's reservations on the shipping. But if that is the only way to take the step into Flowerpot land then it will always be worth every penny.

Hopefully Newvape can do something on the shipping. I agree that they would surely attract more custom all over, so if they were to even subusidise the shipping a little themselves, they would likely get it back in increased custom.
