VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

So just received my Portaide Mini for my omni xl. If I am being honest it's not perfect u don't get even extraction and u need to go few seconds past click to get rich vapour this could cause combustion if you time it wrong.

Despite this I love it and will use it Instead of a lighter, vapour tastes better and it clicks faster than my lighter heats it up.

Will take few days to adjust my routine as lighter and spinning has become part of the ritual.

Shipped in 1 week to London, pipes always responded quickly to my questions and I couldn't ask for anymore.

It's been a long journey from spliffs to a pipe to flowermate then eventually I settled on Arizers for years. I wanted to love the mighty like so many do but I never could for some reason.

I was combustion free for 3 years but still always felt with vaporizers i was never truly satisfied, something was missing from the high and it always felt like a process. Also stealth is priority for me with a wife n kid so when I met the vapcap finally I got high again and it's so small also I now use even less than I did with my solo and I never thought that'd be possible but the lighter click always made paranoid, can she hear it? Also having to deal with sputtering, getting right gas level & regasssing was never ideal.

Now I got the power of the omni xl with none of the stress of the lighter, thank you Pipes Im finally content.

Now, THAT'S the answer I was looking for. LOL

Thanks. Saved me 50 bux I can put towards something better instead of another item in the trash drawer. LOL

Thanks again
I was just recently looking at those dental induction heaters too, and wondered if it would work. I guess it won't be worth the trouble, and I just need to put my money towards something trustworthy. I haven't gotten back in line for any of the pipes heaters yet, just biding my time since there isn't much urgency. Now DV is working on a unit, so I am just hanging out on the fence for a while longer to see what they come out with. If money ever became more fluid, I would snatch up a mini asap.

I've just read this whole thread. Wow @Pipes is amazing.
Seeing the quick development and design of these products had been as much fun as reading the beginning of the DV thread.

I've studied all I can and I think I'm ready to make an IH or two.

I have just one question. Does the PSmini 'system' only need the BMC if it incorporates charging? Seems like some have made their IHs with the RC LiPo battery packs without the BMC?

Thanks to all, especially pipes!

Thanks for the kind words mbr.
The BMS, "Battery Management System" is a safety device and helps protect the batteries.
-10 amp cut-off
-over charge cell protection
-under charge cut-off protection
-cell monitoring and cuts out if unbalanced cell detected.
IMHO, it's a couple well spent bucks. If you go without it, please, at least, install a 10 amp inline fuse and try not to totally drain the batteries.

Thank you so much for answering my question. I will definitely use a BMS, and thanks to you I know how to wire it and everything! You're very kind to share so much helpful information on how to replicate your process.

Very late coming to this thread... been a VapCap user since the first generation.

Is there a link to a store, or is purchase through PM?
Thanks!

What is the cable/connector circle below for. . I can't seem to find the info about what it is/does?

Many thanks again!

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Hi @Pipes still loving the induction heater! I've recently redecorated it with some stickers. Unfortunately I also pushed in the port to hard and the male connect inside has come free from its holster. You can sort of see it in the 3rd pic down. Should I just glue it back with super glue? Tia!!!

Super glue has many great uses but I'm afraid this is not one of them. It can make quite the mess and get into cracks that will cause any spring loaded mechanisms to seize up.
JB Quick Weld, is my preferred method to fix or even improve connector reliability. Tack it from the inside by gobbing some to each side of the case and connector. Don't touch till cured. :science:

@Pipes quick question regarding the battery...just completed a full charge and the indicator moved from red to green so pretty sure charge was full. Ran my 1st cap and hit the test button while under use. Only 2 of the 3 blue lights lit up, is that to be expected?

pipes---could you do a quick refresher on the lights please. How should they look as battery level goes down, how do they look at full charge, etc?
And I think you need switch in "on"position to charge, correct??
Thanks

after much experimentation with my portside (i love this thing) , i use my sai TAF for shatter and the omni for bud. both are one handed operations so i'm now a two fisted stoner.

on the down side, i haven't used my herbalizer in a couple months.

Here are the specs for the indicator LEDs.
L1 < 9 V
L2 < 10 V
L3 < 10.6 V
L4 < 11.4 V
L5 > 11.5 V
Loosing 1-2 LEDs while dipping the VC is OK. If loosing more, I'd make sure the connections to the battery are in tight. Specially the two conductor red one, as unit will run on just the 4 conductor connector. The red 2 conductor is for main current path and is redundant. If not connected, there would be more voltage drop before the gauge.
Enjoy!

FUCK CANCER TOO !
Well I've had this induction heater for a couple of weeks now and I'm thoroughly enjoying it!

I found that with this particular IH, it clicks when it's ready, no waiting after the click, pull it out! Now I will admit that the vapor is fairly wispy, but the effect is still there. I suppose the click time may change as the battery voltage declines? What have you all found in that regard?

TIA
