What's your favorite torch or lighter to use with the Vapcap?

It's just called a Zippo Blu. I really only used it to light cigarettes, the wheel can get a little warm, but you can slide your thumb down the gas button a bit. The whole wheel/flint tube comes out if you wanted to as well. It's the wheel, on top of a tube with a spring (it isn't through a wick like a regular zippo).

If it's no good for my needs, I'll pick up another type of lighter. I think I'll be ok with it though, as I am a very light user at the moment. Microdosing to help when I have an occasional flare up of fibromyalgia.

There are alternative zippo inserts around also with more power.

So far I am really liking the two twin vertigos that VC sells! The zippo like model is a bit skimpy on fuel but directs the flame nicely . The vertigo tron lighter seems to have a bigger tank, and both fit really well in my 3D leather pouch .

Besides Amazon, is there another reputable lighter website (preferably with free shipping.) Thanks.

In my region there's a vast difference between summer temps and winter temps. Hot AF in the summer (up to 45C), freezing in the winter (down to -1C). After a year of almost daily vapcap use I've realized that it's critical to have different lighters for whatever season we're in, especially for me - I have to vape outdoors or in my car most of the time. In the winter, anything less than a 3-flame torch doesn't cut it. In the miserable summer, a single flame is more than adequate. My titanium Vapcap cools too fast in the winter and even a 3 flame would barely cut it for outdoor use, but in the summer it takes FOREVER to cool down if I'm in my car which can get up to 130F. So I have 1, 2, and 3 flame torches. Right now the weather is warming up, which is like a free performance upgrade for the VC. Ambient temps dictate which lighter I use. My single flame is a Xikar Stratosphere recommended earlier in this thread. My dual and tri-flame torches are those $7 multibrand cheapos that have held up surprisingly well.

I got mine off ebay, just pick a trusted seller.

I got that dual flame Honest torch you all recommend, it's pretty nice. I spotted this one, which looks cool.
Do you call that "focused" or something, when the flames converge?

So far, I like the Vertigo Triple In-Line that Dynavap used to sell more than any other I've tried. One very similar to this:
Drone-1T_1024x1024.jpg

^ I hold the three flames perpendicular to the Vapcap though, not parallel. The two outside flames point toward the center one, so the sweet spot is slightly above where the tips come together.

Though, I recently picked up one of those Vertigo Cyclone torches that keep getting mentioned here, and suspect that I will like it as well.

Ha ha ha. I found them. This Vertigo Venom II is the one I have that (not the Vector in my quoted comment above).
I've been very happy with it. It's been very good to me, and has been in my pocket throughout the day most days for close to a year.

Though, in the few times I've used the Vertigo Cyclone since I received it in the mail a couple days ago, it seems to be almost as good.

I would not recommend the Z Plus inserts for your Zippo (unless they have changed in recent years). I went through about 4 of them (old spliff smoking days) before giving up on them as they seemed poor quality.

Would you mind linking me to the recommended dual you picked up? Thanks!

Also anyone know the differences between the Vertigo Cyclone 1 vs Cyclone II? Thx

I don't like anything with an automatic little flip open cap that flaps up and down every time I touch the button.

These days, I Only buy torches where either I can open the damn cap and shut it when I'm done, or where the cap is easily removable (like the ones that have a chain)

Has anyone heard of this butane brand? I got this at my local smoke shop for $3.99. I cant find any mention of it anywhere on the net. They also make a 4x and a 6x that were even cheaper. Seems too good to be true when the Vectors and Colibris etc. are going for twice as much per can. Been running this stuff in my lighters for 6 months now, so far so good.

This is a serious torch and was the first one I bought (from a cigar store) while waiting for my Lotus to arrive.

I purchased two of these lighters and both have stopped working after a few weeks. The issue in both was the clicker/trigger/button would seize and refuse to depress and also the ignition spark was temperamental to the point of it eventually refusing to spark at all.

I recently disassembled one and I wouldn’t be able to recommend them having seen the internals. The piezo ignition system inside is of a very cheap build quality.

Purchase at your own risk.

You might check that the slide lock to keep the button pressed isn't loose or in the way. It can be locked off or on.

That being said most of these designs are made by different vendors with different parts, so just because they look the same doesn't necessarily mean they are the same. But they are all (with exceptions like the PB207) very cheap plastic devices made with the cheapest parts available, so failures rarely come as a surprise to me.

All things considered I think I have had good luck with them.

I have just purchased a Blazer PB207 from Knives and Tools after a lot of searching for UK distributor. This items shows a BLUEFLAME logo on it not the Blazer logo.

After some more searching I found Blazer who claim that they are the European Manufacturer, Distributor and Exporter of Blazer lighters and use the BLUEFLAME logo.

Has anyone had one of these "copies" or is this going to end up being another "Prince" knock off version that are all over eBay and Amazon UK?

I have previously purchased from Knives and Tools so hopefully it is legit.

Thanks

Dangit, I literally just bought one from them as well, they are the only ones in EU as far as I know.

Comes in tomorrow hope it's not a knock off.
But I heard prince is not a fake but a rebrand to fit various national laws, as the EU one does not have a child safety compared to the U.S. one I believe.

Got the blazer in today, is a bit smaller than I expected, yet nice build quality.
@Feistres indeed it does not say blazer on the lighter itself, exept pb207 on the cap.

The box it came in does say blazer, manual as well and seems very legit.
The manual is very nice, for a ligher manual... they state all the materials used and even how hot some parts get during long usage.

Knives and tools did not however include the rubber stand that keeps it upright, a shame but I would not have used it anyway.

Flame size is the same as the honest torch that came with the SBJ, but it is wider and has more 'oempf' to it.
It makes a lower pitch sound as well.

The adjustment knob is not as drastic as other lighers so the height difference beween max and min is neglectable, I keep it on low which is still powerfull and shuts of the moment you let go of the button which is very nice as I really dislike lighters that let their flame linger and keep buring for some seconds.

Best feature is in my eyes the lock function for continous flame, especially for SBJ use, but I am loving the huge tank as well. It came filled by the way! Unexpected, but I purged the entire thing since I plan to use it with the SBJ as well and filled it with butane that I chose just to be shure.

For the moment I am happy with it, for 34 euro, not bad, but the real test is time since I expect this thing to be my last single flame I buy (who am I kidding), and want to have 5 years of usage hopefully... we'll see.

See you guys in the future for a 5 year later review.

Cheers

Thank you @Kozzmozz for the feedback, I look forward to receiving mine now you have quelled my fears slightly.

I don't even have a manual vape yet. Purchased this lighter while waiting on 420 sales to purchase a Vapcap M (just ordered 5 mins ago) which Dynavap website now has 20% off and free international shipping with early access sale code (chive420) shameless plug :brow:

Now the wait begins on lighter and vape. Time to hunt a new grinder.

The pb207 arrived incredibly quickly, can only commend Knives & Tools for their speedy shipping. Ordered nearly midnight on Tuesday and it arrives on Friday from the Netherlands to the UK.

Apologies in advance for poor pic quality I took these on a KEYone straight after opening the delivery, following a long shift and a quick PAX3 session plus my hand is never steady anyway. :D

Won't have chance to use it on anything other than joints until my VapCap M arrives to give a true impression, for now check out this imgur album. Flame set to lowest in all shots, high is crazy.
