My M milks bubblers, but I also have the 2018 with better airflow. I haven't used a Hopper so I have no direct comparison, but I do know that it work's 100% of the time. Availability is the best ability in my book.
The device is amazing, but I agree with this sentiment. The headwinds for the company appear severe: with at least a six month backlog of repairs, limited income, and the inability of management to directly and clearly address communication issues, the prospects of long term viability aren't exactly glowing. If I ever need to RMA my hopper, I wouldn't do it until they work through these current challenges.
This is exactly my usage and experience with my Halloween 2017 repaired hopper.I want to include in my report that my friend uses his Grasshopper as his main driver, but only partakes a few times a week. He uses it by himself or with a friend (2 at the most). He takes a significant effort to keep the herb chamber clean. As far as my experiences go with his "new design" Hopper, it seems to promise as delivered. He doesn't go past 4, as he prefers to do his vaping under 190C. I don't know how many others who post here have had a "new design" Hopper since Fall 2017, but that is my personal experience with it's reliability.
I first sent it mid March but got no reply so I started sending it every 3 days and she responded within a minute of me sending it yesterdayJoe, when did you send out the email to which she replied? I'm still waiting on a reply to an email I sent 11 days ago...
Literally just a copy/paste of what they put on Instagram like ~2 weeks agoLatest hopper labs email.

So, when did you order that Hopper?Olivia just responded to me
Hi Joe,
My apologies I had not replied, I was out of the office. I can have your Grasshopper sent out today.
Kind regards,
Olivia
Hopefully its not an empty promise. Still saying processed but I'm not sure how much of an indicator that is. I must say that I'm getting excited though
1st March. I think Cheesequake ordered a day before me and received one last week so I'm not sure about the claim that they are fulfilling orders in the order they received them! So, when did you order that Hopper?
Apparently, as I ordered mine 4 weeks before that and just got the generic 'we don't know when exactly so please do no ask' reply1st March. I agree on the headwinds. The delays in the charger and the case suggest (to me — pure conjecture) a cash flow issue. I can’t believe the design or the implementation of the design are that complex.
I just hope I get my hopper back before they fold. I can't imagine people are lining up to buy these things. I definitely can't recommend it to anyone.
After 2 years and only a backend issue, i think it's time for my Hopper to go to Colorado trip for check what's going wrong.... It seems i combust even if i'm not on max temp, Do i need to test (waste?!) more with my 5 battery and different load size or can i already open a ticket on Hopper's website??
I don't want to send it back in US (i'm in EU) without to be sure than this issue is covered by the warranty .... I don"t want to heard than my Hopper "working fine" in Hopper's labs and they sent me the same SS .... What do you think guys & girls?
Thanks for your point of view !!
, yeah but maybe someone already have this issue and can tell me how was Hopper's labs solution ?! Well i think i'm going to do more bowl this week-end to be sure and start a RMA next week...If that isn't a warranty case what else? But you have to be a clairvoyant to know THEIR answer.
They will definitely fix the problem, how long you will be waiting is a totally different ball game. If you can turn it down to a point that works for you I'd keep it until they have worked their way through the backlog of warranty work and new orders.
Is it better than no hopper?

when you see this, http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-grasshopper.18482/page-752#post-1175611 , scared me a bit ... @kbrown5523 do you send back your GH ? what Hopper Labs told you about this combustion?
Well i can leave without Hopper for while but i want to be sure than all this w8 is not for nothing
Why wouldn't they fix it. They have gone to all this effort to try and improve their reliability, they won't just throw an old unit back out there. Even hl not that stupid.
Probably it's a sensor damage or it's just dirty so the sensor can't properly work anymore. They'll repair it but you have currently to wait a long time before getting it back - or not if GHL should die up to then. You could try it yourself with compressed air hoping that will solve the issue.
I can believe that a lot (most) of the Hopper's internals are now made in-house, but things like the body, the clicker, even the clip, I'm skeptical about your assertion on those. That type of metal manufacture requires some heavy duty machinery, presses, etc. From the reports in the recent 'transparency' laden newsletters, it was mainly one component from an un-cooperative vendor that was the biggest problem, and it was that component they brought in-house.Not cash flow, capacity. If not 100% real close to it of the grasshopper is now built in Boulder, not assembled, but manufactured. They pushed back on accessories because staff is building vapes
I have one of each, and my opinion is that variation in Hopper's output, while it certainly does exist, is more random from any one to the next, not really based on the type of housing. Is it true that the SST has a different signature than the Ti due to heat retention and a touch of conduction with the SST?
Even today, ordering a Hopper from HL is a pre-order, they are not shipping out of inventory. And they're certainly still selling accessories that are not available yet.Just a couple months ago they were trying to get folks to preorder Hoppers again. Before that, they had risen the cost of the hopper and were trying to sell accessories that weren’t available yet.
HL apparently has a big backlog of units already in house waiting to be repaired. We think they are making progress, but If you send yours now it almost certainly will not be turned around quickly. Better to wait until they are back on track, in my opinion.Well i can leave without Hopper for while but i want to be sure than all this w8 is not for nothing
