Cannabis and Autism, the evidence is clear!

I'm still on a T-Break since November while awaiting assessment, been refused a referral if I continued to medicate.

I'm also still fighting for justice against disabled abusing criminals and their associates and have started a petition to try to get some kind of action / funding for those suffering with Autism and finding no support as victims of crime....

Would appreciate if you would sign and share :-)

IS MARIJUANA THE WORLD’S MOST EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR AUTISM?

Absolutely, yes. Nothing even comes close. Same goes for epilepsy, Autism's cousin, as cannabis is a "clearly visible miracle" for many with epilepsy. Many many have both and cannabis can be very very effective for both

Since being on an extended t-break after years of ignorant medication as I was a stoner and didn't realise the benefits it was affording my Autism as I was yet to be diagnosed.

I have since had heart problems and high blood pressure, the doctor was concerned and sent me for an ECG...

The ECG came back normal and so the nurse has diagnosed the pains and heart problems as anxiety, not surprising with the crap I'm fighting, against corruption and trying to obtain justice.

What it shows however, is how the cannabis was treating anxiety because now I'm having serious chest pains and anxiety issues which I never used to have when I used to medicate.

Though I have to go back to the doctor's Thursday, as apparently the fasting blood test found something, which hasn't helped with the anxiety, with them being so vague!

Hang in there bud and much love from all of us here at FC. What are your observations and thoughts on that, the
"as I was a stoner and didn't realize the benefits it was affording my Autism"?

Have you found anything else to help with the stress/anxiety? Meditation, walk in woods and focus on the things around you? any of that kinda stuff work in the way marijuana does or just the THC.

*personally I virtually never find it but I had 3 grams of (dirty :( ) Jack the Ripper which is supposed to have a pretty high TCH-V content (5-6 percent thcv in flower supposedly). I found that it sort of made me incapable of having panic attacks or ptsd. I could think and still experience 'normal' worry or 'concern', but the debilitating aspect of ptsd or panic attack, that was simply 'not there' it was quite strange.

That is a very medical strain, long flower times, low yields, lower overall THC%, requires proper (unconventional) lighting or proper sun in order to properly trigger the THC-V UV defense mechanism, it's just not commercially viable to grow thc-v strains, the buzz dosen't last as long.

It won't be an option up here as there is no longer a medical industry in WA but perhaps I can personal grow one day and perhaps you can one day access such things freely and when that day happens, look for this (or if you can find it, like I said I actually used dirty wax. i -never- use dirty, I just throw it out and accept my losses)

No, I have had no proper sleep since stopping, I am tired, stressed, heart issues that turns out to be anxiety, and I have just had my official diagnosis appointment in April cancelled, I rung to find out why as it's been 6 months, and ended up in tears, having a complete meltdown, which was quite embarrassing blubbering down the phone when "Boys don't cry!"

Once again I was patted on the back for staying off the cannabis, while being offered chemicals from Big Pharma, which I refuse to take.

To me that's like the doctor saying I have to stop alcohol, so I start taking heroine instead, I would rather not take anything than be forced to take Big Pharma pollutants!

I have been prescribed a plethora of antidepressants before, all gave me awful side effects, physical and mental and I even committed suicide, and yes I say committed, as I hung myself with my own shoe lace, and it was only being found in time that saved my life, as I had gone!

So without the fact that the jury is still out over Big Pharma and Agenda 21/31 , I know my body and myself and as my brain is wired differently, the drugs they hand out to neurotypicals don't affect me the same way and its always been really negatively, this is why cocaine and alcohol put me to sleep, not have me up on the dance floor like it seems it does to everyone else!

Yes I should exercise more, but I'm still fighting for justice, running my petition, trying to run a record label. write music and re-write my website, looking after my son, doing what I can to help around the house so I feel like I'm contributing something to the marriage as my wife is the one working and paying for everything.

I've now been promised a priority appointment in May for my official diagnosis, when they are able to reschedule appointments, due to an apparent influx of referrals for diagnosis that they can't cope with. I'll keep you posted.

Apparently the UK voted on legalising cannabis in February 2018, which again didn't pass, so that fight continues in the UK also!

Thanks for the kind words of support, it really is appreciated.

"
Abstract
Background:
Children born preterm are at increased risk of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). n-3 (ω-3) Combined with n-6 (ω-6) fatty acids including γ-linolenic acid (GLA) may benefit children born preterm showing early signs of ASD. Previous trials have reported that docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) promotes cognitive development in preterm neonates and n-3 fatty acids combined with GLA improve attention-deficit-hyperactivity disorder."

Since some studies suggest moms who use during pregnancy are more likely to have a "preterm" baby and others suggest some mental issues (Related to but not specifically autism.), would cannabis use during pregnancy make it more or less likely the baby is born autistic?

I was going to say that autism and epilepsy wouldn’t be related in anyway but I would have been wrong. I’m not a medical professional.

Epilepsy is a brain disorder marked by recurring seizures, or convulsions. Epilepsy is more common among individuals with autism than among the general population. Seizures are more common in individuals with lower verbal abilities.

Studies suggest that 15 to 30 percent of individuals with autism also have epilepsy.

About 5 percent of those who develop epilepsy in early childhood also develop autism.

Diagnosing and treating epilepsy is critically important. Research shows that individuals with autism and untreated epilepsy are at greater risk for overall poor health, and in extreme circumstances, premature death. Compared to those without seizures, children with ASD and seizures are also more likely to have sleep difficulties and behavior problems.

epilepsy2.jpg
Seizures involve electro-chemical imbalances between brain nerve cellsExperts propose that some of the brain abnormalities associated with autism may also contribute to seizures. These abnormalities may include chemical imbalances in the molecules that send signals between brain nerve cells. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), some individuals with epilepsy have abnormally high levels of neurotransmitters that increase neuron activity (excitatory). Others have low levels of neurotransmitters that decrease neuron activity (inhibitory). An overload of neuron activity can result in seizures.

The good news is that epilepsy can usually be controlled with medication.

I found this tidbit of info.
The effects of its South Indian Indica lineage combined with South American Sativagives medical patients a blissful combination of both calmness and happiness while also being useful for treating appetite loss, insomnia, pain, and stress caused by frequent epileptic episodes.

After looking I was surprised not more studies are being done for cannabis and epilepsy. Very little studies with autism and cannabis. I’ve often heard how cannabis will relieve some seizure disorders. It’s because the government wont change the status of cannabis. These researchers hands are tied.

not sure what that has to do with the study I posted about eating omega fats?? phytocannabinoids from cannabis do effect our bio-activity for better metabolism and energy homeostasis and omega three does it too... too- your quotes have """ marijuana """ mentioned a few to many times, that is not th ereal research man- it is Cannabis... when research presents the correct plant name I will trust it more- if it says marijuana it is NIDA research

adding the molecules from cannabis ( phytocannabinoids) into our system creates Lipid Rafts that can down regulate over firing of those signals that are over firing... that is simply how it works... supplemental molecules with bio-activity

"May Reduce Autism Symptoms Based on Parent Report in Preterm Toddlers."

And then, I linked other studies that could lead one to the conclusion the reason why we may need to supplement with omega fats is because of cannabis usage by pregnant mothers. I then asked a simple question.

Either all this is related or it is not. I thought you took the position that balance in the ECS solves many of these problems but that may just be @MinnBobber position. In either case, I suspect the reason it is placed in the "cannabis and autism" thread has to do with how the body can convert some of those fatty acids into cannabinoids and how that can balance the ECS and how that can reduce symptoms of autism. An argument that has been made in other threads.

The question has to do with all those links and if they are true overall or need to be refined. While I have no study to prove it, it seems antithetical to me to have cannabis be a problem (related to autism) before birth but a solution after birth.

we supplement because 30% of our brain is based on those EFAs lipids... smoking/vaping etc... adds extra metabolism to our bio-active lipids... mothers need as best metabolism as possible in her ECS to feed the baby

I do know- cannabis use aids lipid metabolism... cannabinoids either endogenously created or plant sourced will metabolize... it is the bio-chemical mechanism of action... and this metabolism is not harmful, non toxic etc... think of it like molecular food for your cells fulfillment and requirement
