damn it.
I had it soldered as good as possible and apparently mounted it to near to the heat block: quite some solder messed up the diode-thingy. Now it does not work for sure..

Which alternatives do I have? what are good search keywords to use for? something in the grilling / cooking area should be it for a thermostat lasting til 300 Celsius or so

You could always diy a solution using a similar barbecue thermometer if you can't find the original one.

...inspired by @JCat , but not having a shop nor the proper tools or materials, i came up with my own 'temporary' coil mod....

...22 gauge kanthal hand wrapped tight, used pliers to twist & tighten the ends... not too sure how comfortable i feel about leaving this unattended... but so far working as intended :D

just a question, when I was reading some reviews it mentioned having to email ed, if I purchased through the buy button directly on the site I don't have to do that right? just making sure

I purchased right off of Ed's site as well - he wasn't the best at communicating until I wanted to add something to my order... it took him about a week to touch base initially.

Almost there...
@Morty @Stu

I am going to summon your memory now...LOL!!
A long time ago when all of us were raving about the SV3, i discovered using a Vapocane adapter for full convection hits. Was that a good memory jog?

Well a few days ago i discovered another great feature of the vapocane!!
As standard it has a 14mm joint as well as an adapter for 14 to 18mm is included.
I could not locate my 14to18 adapter and i need it for my RooR...
Dropped the Vapocane into the 18mm joint and it seals perfectly!!
Moves around a bit but no big deal!

I am using it with my SV4 now and it works a treat!

I've used that mod a couple of times and I was impressed but it really could use electric for that! I'm excited for my upcoming ins Hex CatSV3

Guess what I got out!

Great mode ! Maybe a SS316 hose clamp could make things even easier :))) Just look online or in your nearby hardware store :),cost around 2-3$.

Just remembered there are also stainless steel cable ties ,which are even cheaper buti think you will have to cut them if you want to disassemble :).

My favorite is still Supreme V2.
The Supreme 3 works great.... and I use those clamps here and there, but I loved and miss acquiring V2 for the patients.
I have one patient left that still has the original Supreme V1 I got for him.... and are you ready for this?
the sensor and gauge still function accurately after all these years of DAILY use.
Supreme rules the kingdom of Butane powered vapes!
( I used my Supreme V 3 once with a Propane torch, as my other vapes were not delivering that afternoon!(

YES! Will do!

@biohacker I will try the cotton! You have me curious as hell now. I've never had the problems you were mentioning w/ the Herbalizer pads, which makes me think your loading some phat dabs! :rockon:I always put a lot less in when doing convection style dabs w/ the Sup. I've easily put a third of gram (w/ room to spare) in the stock stem though when doing sandwiches! Cotton it is!

It's your choice bro but i will use the SV4! Even more dangerous!

I need some help, when I got my supreme v3 the thermometer was still on, it would not turn off, and I let it sit for about 20 minutes because I had some work to do, I came back to find it had died completely and will not turn on, I suspect the battery was dead from being on the whole time during shipping, but that still doesnt solve the issue of it not being able to turn off, I have removed the battery, and will try another later after I get home from work. but as I am currently there I can not get one, Is this a common issue, has anyone else experienced this? I have a decent amount of tools available to fix this issue if it isnt just battery related, does anyone know why It wouldnt turn off though? if someone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated
