trying to get one damn smiley goin and I kept getting 2 haha sorry y'all this herb here's got me into outta space! :whoa:

Yes, well it was a really easy / entry level kind of exam, I didn't even go to the lectures. It's more of a formality for what I'm doing but stuff I guess you should know in the natural sciences...more interesting challenges definitely await :science:

Here's how I love to use my Air 2:

AhJQrBO.jpg

Lean back / Lounge around and sip sip sip (A detailed guide on how to do this can be found by directing your attention towards my avatar ;D )

The whip is from my EQ, you can get them cheap new, and the glas mouth-tip makes it feel fancy!
I wanted a little longer one but since I could probably only get that in bulk, I'll keep using this one as long as I can.

Sadly it doesn't exactly fit into the bubbler so I had to improvise by wrapping a kleenex around it.

Had some nice vapor goin', all the way to the end.

And as I tried to communicate yesterday, you can get massive hits off of this tiny vape, by inhaling slowly and gently, and then after a few seconds increasing the strength of your draw. WAAAY less draw resistance than my OG Solo for comparison!

Happy weekend to everyone!

So is My Air 2 supposed to flash the led screen battery percentage while charging? Solo 2 stayed solid?

NO....mine is solid....and the battery icon above it shows the moving level inside it.

Make sure the cord you are using has a solid tight connection. I have one cable that is too loose and does what you are describing.

Just plugged mine in. It does the standard ‘battery is charging’ animation and shows the %.

It could be that it blinks until it is ready to allow pass through charging....which I think is like 20% or so.

what would be some general tips for bigger clouds?

are there any good accessories worth getting? not really interested in using it through water as I have an Underdog for that.

I've never used and Air 1, but I heard that the airflow in the Air 2 is much improved. Did the improved airflow result in less dense clouds?

Do you have to pack the stem pretty full to get the biggest clouds? Or can you pack about 1/3 of the stem and still get almost the same size clouds?

I prefer the black stems when running with water as they have bigger holes for better airflow.

The Air is really not intented as a big cloud vape but more for 10min - 15min sessions. (more like a joint ritual) However does not mean it cant produce big clouds, this is how i achieved the denser clouds:

Heat up Air together with empty stem on max temp (220c/428f) - untill you feel that the bottom part of the glass is hot.
Use dry herb grinded 'fine' with Indica strain, indica tends to give denser clouds.
Fill the stem up and be carefull the glass is hot, been there done that :)
Wait a minute or two and take the first 2 - 3 draws slowly and then start having longer draws.

I think this is the key. Remember the heat has to conduct into the load through the (hot) glass. Like water collecting in a well, if you pull it out too fast (faster than it can be replaced) it's 'gonna go dry'. Vapor needs heat to form, and heat can only be added at a fairly slow rate, so draw the vapor off slow.

"Heat soaks" are important in conduction.

Not like blazing, where air feeds the fire and makes extra heat. Here cold air is robbing from the limited heat. Watch the guys on Utube who 'chalk' their WTs......they hit (very) slow so the draw is dense. Do likewise and you'll be rewarded, pull too fast and you'll get bigger clouds faster, but they'll be thinner. For dense, go slow to give it a chance?

I don't preheat stems, but I do give it a good soak after inserting it before hitting unless I'm trying to enjoy 'the light stuff'. Clouds get bigger as temperatures go up, heat soaks are included, and the draw speed is not any faster than vapor can form at full density. But, if big clouds is your prime goal the is is probably not the right vape for you unless your very patient.

thanks for the tips!

I'll try heat soaking the stem first.

I do like the Air 2 a lot. My underdog is my daily driver and I get nice big rips off of that.

I use my air 2 for 10+ minute sessions which are great... but bigger clouds would be better.

I tried filling it up to the top and lightly packing it. That did help produce a lot more vapor, but it ends up being quite a bit of weed to use. Maybe i'm just too used to the super efficiency of my underdog.

I have used the underdog, grasshopper and dynavap products that are fast extraction vapes.
But Arizer air is a sneaky vape and usually holds my high longer with same strain.
While with fast extraction vapes i get high fast and get to the peak just as fast but seems to wear off earlier aswell....

Both type of vapes have their place.
Everyone should own one fast and slow extraction vapes for every occasion :science:

I don't want to take this thread off topic, but I have something to add to the statement above.

I have noticed that a high CBD strain gives off significantly more vapor than an equal weight of high THC cannabis.

I have some Hemp, less than 0.2% THC and bout 8-9% CBD. Tastes great.
Mix it in with some of the more heavy hitters...kids these days with their 25% THC strains, come on!
I got stuff to do!

I don't usually heat soke unless I forget I turned the vape on (that ever happen to ya? :) )
The first few hits are usually whispy but damn tasty.
Then, especially through water, get some massive clouds. Yikes!

Starting at 395 and ending somewhere at 405 ° F in water, and dry I like to start at 370 and creep up about 5° ever few minutes until taste is not what I'd like (even though I get vapor), or the set time is over (usually 12min)

I think the Airflow on the Air 2 is free enough that you're able to overpower it, so like it's been said, a slow & long draw will get you huge hits.

Do you guys stir your bowls? Any tips? How not to burn yourself & spill all over the place?

I usually stir mine about halfway through, sometimes I throw a tiny sliver of hash in my bowls. And once that gets warmed up it crumbles up much nicer, hence the stirring.

I don't stir Solo/Air/ArGo, but am fairly careful packing them. I often go 'hamster style' and so don't want to disturb the load once it's 'glued in place'. If I was inclined to I probably use a piece of tube large enough for a good fit (something about 5/8 inch ID), maybe to inches long. Long enough so you can hold the stem by a cool part, slip it over the hot part, and have say 1/2 or 3/4 inch left so it forms a deeper bowl? Then stir until you're happy, tamp it down with a matchstick and soldier on.

Here hash comes in all sorts of types, except the traditional type you have? I sometimes mix in 'bubble hash' for use in other vapes. This is trichomes broken off 'lesser cuts' of the plant in bucket of ice water, then filtered for size in sieves. It can be quite potent but is typically say 60 to 80%. This is often a good bargain, $15 or $20 to the gram. What top shelf bud is, with a fraction of the THC. I use it to 'spike' the current 'house herb' for use in other small volume conduction vapes like FMs for outside the house. There's two sessions and usually a bit more the way I use it.

Not in Solo/Ari/ArGo though, not exactly sure why......yet........

Anyway, look for some 'heatproof' tube to use as a stirring aid? Even a strip of Aluminum foil
wrapped around the cool part of the stem and slipped up would do it at least once? Or a 3X5 file card rolled up?

I always stir if i vape the herb for a session around 210 Celcius (410f)
Stir and then run on max temp 220c, crazy how many big hits are still left.

I actually use my Omnivap to pack the herb as its fits inside the stem perfectly (vaporizers helping eachother:lol:) its always in my reach.

But to get the herb out i just blow slowly into to stem so the herb comes out in my hand, while i mix the herb up the glass is ok(ish) to touch, then i just scoope it back with my stem from my hand again.
