Yocan Hive 2.0 - for juice and concentrate

finally have time to dedicate to the Hive... but nothing to put in it except for rosin or distillate. Both are clean so i'm assuming that the single coil will handle it okay?

This thing is so tiny!

Yeah the single coil will handle it fine , just don't over load as the chamber is small and can clog up easy. You want a very small ball/amount . The cleaner the better for coil life.

Thanks bro! This is the first adjustable temp portable concentrate device i've used so i'm looking forward to checking out the flavours and effects! cheers!

EDIT: Just wasted a dab of distillate and a dab of rosin just loading the damn coil. Epic fail.

yw man in all honesty the device is more suited for eliquid and using tanks on it. The concentrate part of it is very small , look at the yocan evolve plus for something bigger , and inexpensive for concentrates. Its tough getting dabs on those tiny coils but it does work .

Yocan Hive review from 420vapezone

I didn't demo the ecig portion, apologies.
I did some larger dabs in the tiny coil and rotated the device to avoid clogging. It still makes a bit of a mess in the coil, but it makes big dabs possible at least.

I used the Yocan Hive V1 a lot last year. My juice tanks all leaked but the coils are excellent for wax, budder, cbd, anything that dabs.

The real fun for me was using it for pre-filled carts like Heavy Hitters. Cant beat the stealth factor with this unit.

Problem is all my favorite carts like Brass Knuckles and Alpine use a tank that is too fat for the device. Since these cartridges are held in place with the magnet why not widen the diameter of the device to fit all these tanks?

The temp control is an improvement, but Yocan is limiting the diversity of this great device with this smaller diameter hole.

I love this Hive 2.0! I'm in Mexico, it is filling my needs nicely. Mostly, I'm using a prefilled oil cart that fits the 2.0. Not all carts fit. I'll just throw away the cart before returning home. As for the concentrate cart, I'll take a chance and clean that out.

I need some help demo someone who owns the Yocan Hive 2.0. I need replacements, but their website is not helpful. I want the QUARTZ COIL, not the tanks. Which option do I choose? CBD coil? I need the concentrate cartridge that I can put my own dabs into.

I’ve already contacted Yocan and they toled me they don’t sell them anymore? I hope that is wrong. I don’t want to throw this vaporizer in the trash.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey @Vicki if worst comes to worst let me know and I can send you my unit.

Thank you, you are very kind! I have the main unit, but no replacements for the quartz coil. Did they really stop selling those? Maybe they misunderstood me.

I had no luck with their site, I can’t see why they would stop making the coil for the unit if they still advertise it as a wax/ecig 2in1, but I’ve seen stranger things than that..

I have ordered the wax coils: they are the same as the one that comes with the unit. A single Quartz poll wrapped with wire.

Ok, I will chose the “wax” coil option. Thank you so much!

You could also check EBay for replacement coils. Thy have the CBD/wax quartz coils for around eight bucks.

I love the Yocan Torch, how does this thing compare? I see that its obviously more of a portable vape pen.

Im not really sure if id call the torch a "vaporizer". Seems like right on the cusp of vapor and smoke. But i love the balance of strong hits (stronger than a vape pen for sure) but also the wax lasts a long time. A single "dab" becomes a "bowl". Usually 5-10 good hits

I use a smaller pipe with an 18mm port. So i only need it to heat up for like 2-3 seconds before the chamber is full of vapor. Works great with my bong too, i just use the airflow button alot more to shoot the thc through

PS im guessing the "CBD coils" are Pancake-shaped coils vs the dual quartz? In which case, id def get the dual quartz (wax)

Since cbd when pure is sold as crystalline in jars, and youd def use a pancake for that sort of consistency (this is just a guess, but im pretty sure, based on other Yocan products)
