Discontinued Healthy Rips FIERCE

I just checked the pictures after you mentioned it, did not watch the video again, but you are right @Summer the Fury2 lettering looks more subtle.

Might it be the color, white Fierce vs. grey Fury2?

I would agree, the Fury2 lettering looks more sublime to me somehow.

If the Fierce works as advertised I might forget about the font though. ;)

Hi @Summer and @AtomicPB, You are both correct! The font/lettering on this FIERCE prototype is brighter than on the FURY 2 - but no worries - it is there for reference only. The font/lettering on the final production models will be identical to the FURY 2 :).

It is looking like @HealthyRips.com got everything right with this device! I am a huge fan of the Fury 2 and use it daily. The only things I don't like about it are that the bowl is sort of small and sometimes the battery is dead!

I believe both of these problems are solved with the Fierce and I think I will be in on the first batch - please don't give me any reason to wait for Fierce 2.........????

You know I don't like proprietary batteries but I can't really be mad at 4000 mAh for $20.

Edit: Also adjustable session timer is A+ since I do usually run two sessions back to back.

Hi @StonerSloth, We are on our third FIERCE prototype - we truly believe that we have perfected the design and performance with these three rounds of prototypes. And we still have another round of testing with our 'test production run' before we finalize the FIERCE for release to the public. We are extremely confident that there won't be a need for a 'FIERCE 2' anytime in the near future :).

We recognize that this is a controversial subject - but crafting a proprietary battery pack is one of the things we are most proud of with the FIERCE. It has not been easy to design the FIERCE with a safe Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery that is also user replaceable/swappable - but fortunately we have amazing engineers (one previously worked for Oppo Electronics designing smartphones). We have medical professionals on our advisory team that have personally witnessed numerous severe injuries caused by 18650 batteries. We are just not willing to take the unnecessary risks of these injuries to our clients and ultimately our company. We realize that this decision could be misinterpreted by some as a 'profit play'. This is why we have priced our battery pack at a 'no profit' point - we are putting our money where our values are.

We are right on schedule for the FIERCE release in June - everything has gone better than expected so far.

All the Best!

If the Fierce performs as well as its little brother, the Fury 2, then buying the Fierce will be a no-brainer!

Why not include the charging dock and extra battery with the FIERCE?
Answer: We do :). But we also offer the FIERCE for sale without the charging dock and battery for those who want to use the FIERCE as a rechargeable vaporizer and simply replace the battery after its lifespan.

So I would assume then that to charge the battery pack externally one must also have the proprietary charging dock?

Yes that is correct. But if you purchase the $229 bundle - it comes with 2 batteries and the charging dock included. If you purchase the $199 bundle - you would plug the USB-C cord directly into the FIERCE to charge it (which you can do regardless). Then at the end of the battery life cycle you can easily change the battery yourself for $20 :)

Please clarify if you mean by "end of battery life cycle"???

Is the second battery something you carry with you and swap when the first runs out? Or are you saying that the 2nd battery is only once the first will no longer charge???

@HealthyRips.com ....I think the members here at FC tend to differentiate between the terms "swappable" and "replaceable" batteries. The former referring to using two batteries interchangeably on an ongoing basis and the latter referring to the permanent replacement of a battery once it can no longer be re-charged. At any rate, I too remain a little confused on which term is applicable to the Fierce.

TIA!

Hi, Sorry for the confusion!
The FIERCE is designed to be used either way the user chooses - as the battery is "swappable" and/or "replaceable":
1. Swappable battery use: Purchase the bundle that includes two batteries and the charging dock. Use one battery in the FIERCE while the other is on the dock charging. Swap the batteries when the battery in the FIERCE runs low.
2. Replaceable battery use: Purchase the bundle without the extra battery and charging dock. Leave the battery in the FIERCE and charge it directly when the battery runs low. Replace the battery every few years when the battery has degraded (end of battery life cycle).

The charging dock and extra batteries can also be purchased separately.

Please let us know if this is still unclear.

Ok, I am really looking forward to BUYING this vaporizer (Like I do most of the vapes I TEST)

I don't feel like reposting all of the battery info I posted but coming from a battery guy I think the Lipo packs are a wise choice. Can you provide some more info on them? 1s, 2s, or 3s (3.7v, 7.4v, or11.1v) also whats the C rating or discharge rating on these?

I apologize if this has been answered, tried combing the thread.

Is the convection technology on the Fierce the same as the Fury 2? i.e. some hybrid conduction as well?

I microdose with a Omnivap. Very pleased with it's performance. NOT liking the butane heating.

The bowl on the Omnivap is adjustable from about 0.1 to 0.025 gram.

Will there be a way to achieve bowl size equivalence?

Maybe some sort of removable insert or an adjustable bowl similar to the Omnivap bowl, it has three adjustments in thier bowl.

@Healthy Rips is making inserts for the fury2, so I really expect they'll do the same for the Fierce

While i love the cover/case on the fury i am not a fan of the material. It just seems to attract dirt and dust.
Something with a bit more rigidity would be nice.
I really like it flexible, easier in the pocket when needed and helpful handling hot objects occasionally.

However, any other surface texture that didn't work as a lint magnetwould be greatly appreciated by me also!

Note sure I get what's the big differences between this device and the Fury 2, it looks like a larger version because of a larger battery, rest is pretty much the same no?

Same. Just some feedback for the company. I love the Fury 2, but not sure why i would buy this. YMMV. I don't need a bigger bowl. Making it bigger requires a bigger heater, thus dropping run time. Pretty much the same design as the Fury. I don't want a proprietary battery with a separate charger. And when I need a quick swap I don't want to go the garage for a screwdriver.

Not saying this will not work fine, but it is so close to the Fury 2 that it seems the same just larger, which I don't need a larger fury 2. Maybe if you need to vape a 1/3 gram at a time, this is your vape.

I was hoping for good performance like the fury 2, better battery life with swappable non-proprietary batteries that I can charge with any charger (inconspicuously), and an improved water tool adapter system. The woobbly glass insert that become super hot on one end and spills herb is not that great of design (not that it does not work to get you medicated). I don't mind it being bigger since I would be buying it more for home use - and that makes a good water tool adapter system even more important.
