@Bravesst - Congratulations on the release of Lil’ Bud and the move to “Portables”. It is well deserved as you have produced an amazing vaporizer. There will be a lot of people who will benefit from using Lil’ Bud. Great to see the wonderful reviews so far. I’m sure there will be many more. Love the efficiency of the spiral coil heater. Sounds like you are doing a great job of forming them now. The battery block is a wonderful feature for preventing accidental button pushes while transporting w/ a battery installed. The shorter amount of time required for pushing the button since there is no need for preheat is better for battery safety.
Looking forward to spending some time with you when you visit next month. Hope we can develop some really cool things together. I have a few more ideas that should result in some great products with your skilled hands.
Keep up the great work and full steam ahead.

@Saulsaul - I can make both ends of the tube 18mm if desired. I can also make one end 14mm if you like. Just let Mike know what you want and we can make it happen.

When it comes to vapes, there is not too much @Alan can't do. Someone once referred to Alan as a pioneer. Can we coin a new word - Vaponeer. I am honored to even be discussed in the same conversation when it comes to expertise and skill. Lots of really cool stuff to come, but right now Lil' Bud, and his instant coil heater, are showing the vaporizer world the potential of an all wood, on-demand, convection portable.

Have you guys ever heard of Tvape.com?

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
Maybe it will be a good idea to make wood Mouthpieces that are 18mm at both sides.
I own both (18/18 and 18/14) and they both serve well

18/14 is great to pair with small cheap hydratubes on dhgate or a j-hook

Tvape looks cool, go get em' !

eBay or even ,etsy , could both generate exposure and sales too. I sold guitars on eBay. Fees are high , about 10% of sales , but one can always take seller fees into consideration for eBay pricing.. plus you keep control of sales/questions/etc.

I almost had a problem with an attempt to make a purchase. I was on the Torontovaporizer site and I thought I was paying in Canadian prices converted into US dollars.

Right before I pulled the plug to buy I realized that they wanted the stated price paid in US dollars.

That was the last time I even considered buying from Torontovaporizer.

Make sure you know which currency the price is the represented in.

Thanks all, TVape contacted me to review LB. I just wanted to make sure they were legit. I just responded to their email, so we'll see what happens.

I'm planning batch 3 strategy. At this point, LB is locked in, but the build process can get more streamline, and that may allow me to build more units in less time, without actually moving faster.

I am taking a look at the battery compartment. It's basically a mortise cut with a hand held plunge router and spiral upcut bit. I've built a jig that sets the length perfectly every time, but I still have to adjust the width of each cut. Before I start batch 3, I am going to build a template that will automatically set both length and width, should be a huge time saver and even MORE precise.

Next, I have to take a look at the four holes drilled on one center point (bowl and heater compartment). The drill press will take care of depth, but centering these holes is crucial. Right now I have a simple fence clamped to my drill press table. I was thinking about a right angle fence, already marked at dead center.

I'd like to double my pace without feeling like I'm moving faster, just more efficiently.

As far as reviews go, I would suggest Troy from 420vapesone.com his FC username is @ohmygodimsohigh his reviews are fun to watch and he has a following here and on youTube.

I know about Bud, the VapeCritic, didn't know about Troy, but I'm not going out looking for reviews, these guys emailed me. I guess I just wanted to verify that they are who they say they are, before I start shipping stuff.

I've come to a definite observation. More power can improve taste and LOWER the temp of the actual vapor (less coughing), at least in my experience, and here's why.

Not enough juice, or a dirty screen, can force you to suck hard (increase suction) to get vapor. At this point, in my experience, you loose some subtle control because you're pulling so hard. I think the feedback is skewed as well, because you'll go from no vapor to combustion in a second, when all that heat finally burst through. I feel it's a bit easier to modulate when the power is there, and you only dip into it.

It's like a high performance automobile. Lots of power under the hood, but you're never flooring it. Best performance is head at less than maximum RPM - lots of control (self regulation).

Just wanna give a quick congratulations to @Bravesst. Seems like just yesterday I was reading this man's word documents on getting best extraction with the Arizer Air. Crazy how time flies. In the search for his favorite Vaporizer he managed to create his own. Such a cool thing to see. Honestly is amazing, very well done man. Hope to see this be a huge success.

Fwiw I don't think TVape deserves are review unit and I don't think their word will help you much besides visibility from the mainstream.

I'd definitely opt for giving a unit to Troy or VapeLife X (WakeandVape) if you do want reviewers, but I doubt any of us or anyone on Reddit would seriously believe a positive review from them. You might even get more thoughts that you have people shilling for you on the Reddit front.

Thanks for the advice. I have some loyal LB lovers that post on Reddit, which is very cool, and much appreciated. I think once Lil' Bud gets in enough hands, the *official* reviews will be a mute point for a vape like LB. Thanks for the insight. Probably not gonna send them a vape.

Today was the day I run final checks. Last batch was the first time I incorporated the battery block slot, so it's relatively new in my build process. I got all 11 back plates finished, installed, and testing the fit of the slot, basically how easy it is to insert the tab. It's not perfect and just like that 11 back plates bite the dust. I consider it practice, lesson learned. However, this does delay the post office until tomorrow afternoon vs morning.

I was looking forward to a rest day tomorrow, not gonna happen.

No Rest for the Wicked!

Isn't visibility to the mainstream a good thing ? :hmm:

Nice to see you here @paytonpenn !

Same to you @AJS ! What a good sport you are! With all the rbt videos you have made, it be cool to see you , of all people, do a Lil' Bud review...

I think once Lb gets into so many hands , lots of videos will surface , I'll probably do one or two myself just for the hell of it, regardless of what people think.. not to sell the Lb but to show what it does and can do. I hope
Many others will do same. I would rather see end users and clients make vids and clouds then see professional reviewers. True a few do a great job at being unbiased but there is always that doubt in your head watching them, to me anyways. No disrespect.

Time for everyone to turn the page on move forward, it doesn't sound like the Lil' Bud is going anywhere but rather here to stay .

Vape on! :tup::rockon:

Now I am looking forward to that, a @P.A.M. review! I'm always working alone, and don't usually slow down to set up lighting, background. I love the big cloud chasing videos myself, but at home, sipping away at LB is what it's all about - that thick, rich, almost creamy vapor that can be had without *cloudage*.

Just wrote up ten labels by hand and it took 15 minutes. Downside is I have to manually send out tracking, not a big deal with just ten. I'm on USPS.com and got a batch going, wasn't sure about which button to click next, and ERASE!!! I hate that website. I always think I'm gonna pay for shipping and my printer won't work or something. I'm sure people use it and love it, not sure why I have a mental block....

@AJS nice to hear from you my friend. Yes, we've come a long way to get to this point. Hope you're enjoying all that's new in the vape world.

I was a working hard all day, determined to get to the post office, but at about 3 PM, I realized it wasn't gonna happen. Tonight they'll all get boxed up, and off to PO tomorrow morning. At least I got some pics to brighten up the evening. I apologize for the ten eagerly waiting, I know that it sucks to wait. What's awesome about these beauties is that they perform every bit as good as they look.
