The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I got a brand new Mighty today and I’m on my 6th day of my T break. The torture.. Cant wait to let it rip!

It's the weekend soon, crank that baby up!

I'm getting worried about mine now, when I sent it off for repair they asked here if it had batteries and I said no.
Apparently they don't carry batteries!
Declared as electronic cigarette and I forgot to put a return address on the outside...
Hoping it lands there tomorrow morning for assessment.

What you describe is the battery performance of an old Mighty (or perhaps a new Crafty?) I'm getting 6-8 bowls now (with my old Mighty)

I just purchased it and it came with the new white box with a 2017 date on it, im %99 sure its the newer version
I just leave it on for too long during the sesh and end my bowls at 395 and still get a few hits at the end

I charged the mighty to full and did a burn off for 5 minutes or so. So after 4 bowls at 195 C approx 6-7 minute sessions + the 5 minute burn-off, I still have 4 full bars of battery remaining. I'm guessing I'll get at least 10-12 bowls at 195 C on a full charge. I will post results once the Mighty is almost dead.

Just an update: after 7 bowls at 195 C approx 6-7 minute sessions + the 5 minute burn-off, I have 2 full bars of battery remaining. I still might get 10 bowls before she needs a charge.

Cheers

Did it have the "20% more battery" sticker on it?

Ah yes, that could be the reason for less bowls. Enjoy playing with your Mighty!

My understanding is that, in U.S., when the post office asks if there are batteries, they are asking about loose batteries. Batts that are internal , non user-serviceable are not their concern (like, say, an ipad).

Hi,

Yesterday I was sippin’ on the mighty while watching a comedy show. And while I was taking a hit I suddenly laughed so hard I blew pretty strongly IN my mighty... can that damage the device? :\

No, it did not come with a %20 more battery sticker, but The sticker is just a selling tactic, not all the new units come with it from my research,
As long as it comes with the white box and the auto shut off feature with 5 clicks, its the newest model

+ the 5 minute burn-off,

Curious why you are including a burnoff? (Burnoffs to me are a one time thing, when the unit is brand new)

That's not how S&B rolls. What research are you basing that conclusion on? Also, where did you purchase it, S&B direct or somewhere else? Thanks

I purchased mine at a reputable smoke shop near me which advertised the new model with the battery upgrade.
The only place ive seen the sticker was on Ebay and it didint look legit. The old model comes with the blue box, the newer one comes with a white box. I have seen pictures of the new box online aswell and most of them do not come with a sticker.
Maybe the %20 sticker was released with the first batch of the new models

Hmmmm.....

The old model comes with the blue box, the newer one comes with a white box.

Not sure it's that cut and dry, as the Crafty had the extra battery life first. At that point there may be white boxed Mighty's before the battery upgrade was implemented.

As far as the sticker, I'm not sure....

Sorry bro, forgot to mention that this unit is brand new. Only did the burn-off the first time I turned it on

Cool, please let us know how many bowls (or capsules) you can get on a full battery. I know it's all approximate based on temp, but it will give us an idea, thanks

Ive had my mighty 3 weeks, and now it wont fully vape my bowls
After 5 hits, no more vapor is produced, and even at 400 F i barely get any vapor and the bowl is still visibly green instead of brown
Started an RMA, hoping to have it resolved soon

I got almost 10 bowls (Capsules) on a full charge, 5-6 minute sessions starting at 185-195C. Half way through my last bowl I had to plug the Mighty into the charger.

Thanks!
This is right in line with my use on the 'old' Mighty batteries.
I would get about 8 capsules from those, and 20% more is 8 X 1.2 = 9.6, or about 9-1/2 capsules.

But I'd only run batteries down when necessary (no power source available). They say it's better to charge when they get down to about 20% of capacity, like, 1 or 2 bars on indicator.

This is just a little update/review for anyone reading this, debating if they should but a Mighty. I personally debated about buying a Mighty for medical use, for months. The cost, was what kept putting me off. I broke down in January, and bought one. I don't enjoy getting high, and only use it for micro-dosing. It's a several time a day thing for me to control pain. Since i dont enjoy getting high, this wont be your typical Mighty Fanboy love letter review.

First thing I noticed: This thing is powerful, and I needed a way to calm it down! I came on here, raved about it, but i wasn't experienced with it, and was simply amazed at the power this thing has. It knocked me on my ass for several hours the first few times. Since I don't enjoy that, this was bad. I don't enjoy it, as I'm a stroke survivor. I have permanent brain damage, and rarely like things that alter my brains new "normal" state.

After several months now, I'm much more experienced, and am writing this before dosing. I've now came to the conclusion, that I should have bought it sooner! That said, its even more expensive then i thought. I sure am glad I stuck with it though.

I was a little worried at first, as the Mighty isn't generally a vape the comes to mind when talking about micro-dosing. It worked ok, but I seemed to be wasting a lot, as I couldn't finish it all at once, and leaving it in, isn't ideal.

I ordered some dosing capsules, and that made life easier. I was using less, and wasting less, and it seemed ok. It was still too strong, and every capsule still seemed to have too much. I kept measuring smaller and smaller amounts, which didn't have the best results, as there was now empty space. At this point, my thinking was, If this was as good as things got, I had probably wasted my money, plus the money for dosing capsules.

I definitely liked it better with the capsules though. Not amazing, or the best thing out there. It took me months to actually save enough for the Mighty. And then the added expenses of the dosing capsules. Not to mention all the product i was wasting. When will the expenses end!?!

Then, I bought the liquid pads designed for the capsules. Before they got to me, I had decided this was the Mighty's last chance. I wasnt going to spend any more on it. While waiting for the liquid pads, I actually checked used prices, in case I decided to sell it.

The liquid pads transformed everything. It went from simply "ok", to one of the best purchases I've ever made! Now this is what I was expecting! I can load my micro amounts, and get the exact results I wanted. Just enough to cut the pain, but not enough to really alter my brain. The liquid pads are a little stiff, and finicky the first few times, but they keep holding up.

I bought extra capsules/liquid pads, and now have 2 magazines. I used a marker, and now have 1 magazine of 8 for my regular, and 1 magazine of extra strength, for the extra severe pain days. I suppose, the same process could also be used for different strands rather easily, or a daytime/night time idea. Whatever works for you.

For me, the Mighty, while using the liquid pads to take up the extra space in the capsules..it's just perfect! Extremely easy to use. After the liquid pads are loosened up a little, they become extremely easy to refill. It keeps things extremely clean inside too.

The best part? With the liquid pads taking up extra space, but still delivering top-notch efficiency, I am not wasting any! The Mighty, used in this way, is now Saving me money! I'm definitely using less product then before, with zero waste, which is saving me money. Ok, technically it's still paying me back from the cost of the Mighty. It's covered the costs of the capsules/liquid pads/and accessories (see note at the end for accessories comment)

Zero waste? Well, ok, a Little waste, but that is my fault. The ABV is perfectly consistent. I simply haven't found the perfect dosage when cooking with it. My only waste for the past couple weeks, has been the ABV, and figuring out how much to use. Some ABV has been wasted in this process.

The ultimate question for me. If my Mighty (named More, as in eenie, meenie, Mighty Moe) was stolen today, would I buy it again? Absolutely! For me, 99% micro-dosing, this is Perfect for me. My only complaint, is that they should include a liquid pad for the dosing capsules with the purchase. The one capsule that was included, died a horrible death due to an accessory, after only a couple uses. If there was a capsule sized liquid pad included, it would have saved me time/frustration/and the loss of some product.

I truly hope this posts helps someone who is debating if they should buy a Mighty. Absolutely buy it! If you are micro-dosing, I personally consider the dosing capsules a necessity. The dosing capsule liquid pads, are also a necessity for me, but that will depend on individual tolerance.

Side note about accessories: After 3 months, only 1 dosing capsule has died, and that was due to an outside (not S&B) product. I bought a "Dosing Capsule Sleeve", to help organize things from delta3dstudios.com. The sleeve is so friggin tight, I crushed the capsule just trying to get it out. The funnels I got from there are awesome, but I simply wasted money on the sleeve, and it got thrown out with the trash in anger/frustration.

I like the S&B magazines, but really wish they were smell proof. The magazine lid, holds my doob tube perfectly, which helps with refilling. (I keep some product already grinded in a doob toob for when I travel)

The S&B keychain holders are great in theory. I dislike them though. Keeping track of full/empty capsules are a pain, unless you have a second container for empty ones. Depending on grind, a tiny amount can also come out while transporting.

I bought a generic keychain "pill holder" through eBay. It opens on both top, and bottom, making it easier to take a full one from the top, flip it upside down, and add your empty. Still a hassel, but for less then $1, it's a slightly better option. Keychain style, just isn't for me.

I mostly only use the capsules in my Mighty for flower/concentrate sandwiches.

For smaller doses, I just put the load in the oven natively then put a liquid pad on top and press it in. Provides a good conduction element to the heat at the end of the session and the AVB looks great.

Just something to think about.

Cheers

See a previous post of mine about making micro dose capsules using a liquid pad and screen so you never have to remove a liquid pad again.

I make these to have options on load size.

New to the forum and to the entire vape scene.

This is my Mighty story:

I'm a long time heavy herb smoker. My min. is 1/2 oz a week. Two months ago it was 3/4 of an oz a week. When you put that much herb to a lighter, in a pipe, for a decade or two there are some things that you notice (and probably a lot you don't).

I suppose the first thing would be the expense. I am fortunate enough to be able to absorb that expense but it's still money that could be used for other entertainment.

Respiratory issues. Up until two months ago I had been coughing up black goopy gross phlegm for years. Smoke a bowl, cough up black phlegm. Walk around the block, cough up black phlegm. Finish a meal at a fine restaurant, cough up black phlegm. Wake up in the middle of the night, cough up black phlegm. Take a tolerance break for two weeks, cough up black phlegm.

You look like shit. I suspect in some peoples cases it may be just heavy allergies but I always feel like I can pick out heavy herb smokers out in public just by the look of their eyes. It doesn't matter if they or I used Visine. The dark circles, the irritated red lids were always a give away.

I never told my doctor I had this habit but I'm certain he could tell by looking at me. One day he just came out and said, "hey do you smoke" and pinched his forefinger and thumb up to his lips in the motion of smoking a joint. I responded to the affirmative. He told me that he'd never recommend anyone ingesting substances by smoking them. He also wasn't a fan of marijuana. He then said, "if you are going to do this then you should look into vaping it. It is much healthier than burning it."

The conversation with my doctor had happened a couple years ago. I knew nothing then and only very slightly more now about vaping. I thought it was just the pens and the liquid. I started there. Over the time span of 6 months I bought 3 different pens and many many different liquids. Some were good, like the Rove products, but most weren't. Almost every one of them gave me this odd chemical after taste. The problem was there was no way these pens were going to stop me from using a pipe and a lighter. The pens were more just a fun thing to have around or a filler for when my supplier was running late. They weren't a device that was going to work for me all day every day.

Next I watched some guy on you tube really get excited about the Fire Fly 2. I started getting more info on it. Vape Critic got me real excited when I saw these big clouds and he talked about this awesome flavor. I bought it. I must be the worlds least skilled vape dude because I could never get much more than a wisp of a cloud. Frustrating! I wrote the manufacturer and asked some people in a computer nerd forum I belong for help. People tried to help but I kept failing with that device. I think I was looking for that full lung feeling you get from taking a drag off a combusted bowl. I just could not get it with the FF2. I was doing it wrong and could never figure out how to do it right.

I gave up.

More black phlegm.

Around New Years I got the urge to look at the various devices again. I stumbled across the videos posted by Tony at 420Vapezone. In several videos he expressed a love for this ugly plastic black box, the Mighty. He was persuasive and after a few days I ordered one from Puff It Up.

When I got the Mighty I had some real anxiety. I wanted it to work so bad but my experience had been with vaping that it would likely fail. I wanted that full lung feel, I wanted to taste this yummyness that everyone talked about, I wanted to blow out a cloud. I loaded my first bowl with the cute little round loading device they provided. Ok, that was fun. I have to admit there is something about the process of loading a bowl that I enjoy. Then I had my first session with the Mighty.

I am a very experienced smoker with a high tolerance level. I had no idea that when the Germans came my house and brought me this device, this Mighty device, they weren't fucking around.

Full lung hit...check, awesome taste...check (holy shit this is what weed tastes like?), blow out a cloud...check.

Two months later -

I use 1/4 oz less a week. That savings paid for my device in the first month. I'm not getting less enjoyment or doing less sessions this device just uses the product more efficiently.

No coughing up black phlegm. It's over. It just doesn't happen with this. Do a big hit and cough from time to time, absolutely. No more black sticky phlegm comes with it.

No more dirty resin filled pipes and sticky tar everywhere.

I still look like shit but dark circles and red rimmed eye lids are gone.

I've tried 15-20 different plants. It's a lot of fun testing strains and finding what I really love.

My Brother-In-Law bought one from Puff It Up shortly after trying mine. He loves it.

All the guys at my poker game love it.

I've bought nearly every accessory that goes with it, had a tray made, bought a case.

I haven't smoked a bowl via combustion since that first day. I have zero desire to ever have it that way again.

I'm a big Mighty fan.

TLDR: I like the Mighty.
